Crazy how little gear tech changed from 1944 to 2004. But between 2004 and 2022 there has been a massive and radical change in technology for the war fighter.
44 to 04 made helmets better, gave us soft armor, added a few minor toys like chemlights. Now everyone's got lvl-IV plates, night vision, IR lasers, GPS, water bladders, full IFAKs, electronic earpro, lighter cooler and quieter uniforms, better camo, scopes/red dots have become common on rifles with suppressors on the way there... yeah, the old stuff still works but kit's evolved a lot in a short amount of time. The downside is it got heavy as hell in the process, now it's all about lightening up again with these new capabilities.
I mean since 44 the actual mechanics and engineering or the core of actual weaponry and weapon systems is astounding. As far as extra gear though, you're probably right.
Definitely the 1993 Mogadishu one. Simple yet very advanced in it's own ways of nice camoflauge (M81 Woodland Ranger Intercepter) And the mix of the 3 tone desert BDU is chef's kiss😎
Awesome. Pure awesome. This needs to be in a show case in y’all’s main office with lights and these back ground sounds in a push button for people to see then all y’all’s other gear set up next to it.
Love this history, from how the men who fought ww2, Vietnam/Korean War, desertstorm, iraq/afghanistan, and now the new modern armor of this generation.
Was very similar to the gear used in Mogadishu 1993. Only difference was the intercepter wasn't used and the M81 Woodland camo was used instead of the 3 tone Desert BDU. Web gear was the exact same for enlisted troops, helmet was the same PASGT too. Weaponry was same if not similar.
When GW made that speech after 9/11 it was considered weak posturing because no one thought America would be able to go against Iraq because the only reason we were able to stop Iraq's invasion of Kuwait was because we had international support. Iraq was considered one of the strongest militaries in the world. In 2001 no one wanted to fight Iraq because Europe was dependent on OPEC and Bush was going to embargo Iraqi oil. In 2003 the invasion was complete in as little as a month and a total done deal by 2004 when the loyalists were wiped out. So the significance is the words of the speech followed through into history.
Ww1 german military helmets the stelhelm not the other one with the spike but a modern looking helmet and ww2 german helmets as well look modern with the cloth camouflage covering looks like Americans iraq helmet but better camouflage sense ww2 german camouflage
So crazy, that we Germans already had camouflage cotton uniforms back in the day (in teh SS) I wish we Germans once we leave NATO and EU through AfD, get our marching boots from Kaiserreich and Weimarer Republik back. And a new variant of the Stahlhelm
I wish we were a real empire like the Romans. Our modern history is full of us spilling blood for ungrateful countries that stab us in the back when they don't need us.
Strategically Vietnam was critical to Asia, as much as Korea was, which is why Moscow put so many orders to the democrats to protest it during the cold war.
There is no voice of leadership that represents 2022.
this is so true it hurts
@Florida Man HVACR that’s hilarious! “America can be define with one word….”
I mean there luckily hasn’t been an American mobilization that requires it if we’re looking at the bright side
there is tho. they banned him from everything

@@travelingspartan2035 And ironically with NPE we are returning back to no tech setups.
Functionally the new stuff is too tactical for a lot of roles, esp. civilian
as quickly as kit has advanced is about as far as society has degraded.

I absolutely love the paratrooper gear ❤ My favorite ww2 Loadout
Honestly the interceptor vest with plates was a good thing
They forgot about 2007's equipment which was a huge game changer !!!
I like the older gear more and it works great.

Dude, that would be so cool. That's a great idea.
That is until that one kid starts spamming buttons. lol
2022. Biden: My butt's been wiped.
Hi bro, Haley...muy bueno este video del reconteo histórico de los uniformes....desde Colombia éxitos.
I need 4 boxes of those to buy ok
It seems like it's almost gone full circle. Practically no armor, very light loads, to heavier armor, back to very light armor and light loads
Wow great video!
Wait I'm confused, was HSP around and used by our troops during all those dates?
HSP wasn't. But in every conflict a generation of Haley was involved

Alright this was great marketing
Skipped a whole bunch.
The camo for vietnam wasnt issued until 1975
Good pickup. I noticed that. Although a similar camoflauge was tested by MACV-SOG and CIA SAD in North Vietnamese covert operations in 1969-1971.

Did we just jump over the 1980s because if so why?
Yeah, hopefully some of that comes in stock before America gets invaded.
👍🏻🇺🇸
Seeking understanding…. Why use the GW Bush quote with the year 2004 when he made that speech in 2001?
It's just the 'famous speech' of the era. For 1969, JFK was already dead.
When GW made that speech after 9/11 it was considered weak posturing because no one thought America would be able to go against Iraq because the only reason we were able to stop Iraq's invasion of Kuwait was because we had international support. Hey where the ACU load out lol
Where’s all the 1980’s pasgt gear
The 1993 one had a PASGT helmet, but went with the Ranger vest instead. Not sure if the 2004 one had a PASGT helmet or a LWH.
