I having a 25 years old BROMPTON and having the exact same problem, now... The fun part of it, is not as fun as yours BROMPTON. Because after a long 25 years of changes in manufacturing most of the existing "third party" or original parts now a days, are no longer fit well with mine 25 years old BROMPTON, but it's fun to see you putting yours nicely and EASILY together.
New owner. Right away noted that smoother, easier rolling and greater stability in folded mode needed. Gratitude here for your clear instructions. Happy trails.
I found an extended axle with a ligth "carbon tube" in the middle, being even ligther than this one. I have also found a Chinese set of carbon clamps for my mudguards struts (from Titanium, on my "Lightweight"), as the original clamps are really "heavy Metal"! And a set of alu holders for the mudguards being fixed on my frame
I bungee mine to a handrail on public transport to stop it moving around and to deter theft. I carry one two foot bungee with me when I use the bike, tied with a loop in the middle, so I can attach it to the bike and to itself with the hooks easily.
Watching the video at 8.11 just as he is screwing the extender bar on, you can see that the bar moves the centre of the wheels around 10mm further back than before. That should be enough to avoid heel strike, but I cannot verify myself. And I wouldn't bother buying that pair of little wheels for the back mudguard. You might as well just buy 6mm bore plastic spacers and fit the original roller wheels you took just off when fitting the larger easy wheels.
First thing changed on mine was seat post to titanium "from Aliexpress' and the frame folding clamps bolts to titanium look much better than the bolts with plastic thumb screws . Agreed the hight of the easy wheels need increasing, Ile give that some thought.
All is good fitting the extension wheels on while you keep your bike folded. When cycling with the extension wheels, my heels constantly get caught by the large wheels when I am pedaling.
I have a Black Edition version and it was not cheap buying it whilst living abroad. As I looked it over and pondered on what I could improve if I were Brompton, I also came up with the idea you have mentioned in your video. I am constantly dragging that suspension on the ground as well..! I am surprised that after all these years that Brompton did not see what you have seen.... And those little wheels could be improved quality wise. Not exactly the best quality and hard wearing plastic I have come across. So then, a BIG LIKE to you sir for this video. I hope Brompton are watching this!
I have lately found a set of expensive aftermarket 10 cm easywheels for my H6LXBrompton and I immediately, after my buy, changed from the small and rather useless original wheel size to larger wheels, for mine.
Is your extender still working well? Mine from bikegang has some issues with the opening and closing. Did you experience kind of the same thing with yours of bikefun?
Sorry to bring up an old video. How’s the extension bar worked out long term? This could work on my older Brompton M3L. My current Brompton is a M6L with ruck, I put four inline skate wheels on, its brilliant when rolling but still not very stable.
Hi there, I’ve recently bought the same extender like yours but I have issue to tighten it to the bike. After a short while of pushing, the extender moves/looses, may I know if you have this issue before? Also, the part comes with number of washers, can you share with us where these washers go to? Thank you.
Two questions regarding the Bcycles EasyWheel: 1- did you go for the 60mm or the 80mm version? 2- did you encounter any heel strike with the EasyWheel while pedaling? Thank you.
Thanks for all the info! I think I’ll go for those wheels and the extender - useful upgrades. Ps those links don’t seem to be working unfortunately Pps nice watch! (Seiko SKX?)
Hi there , great video and I am hoping you can help with a link to purchasing the easy wheels and extender bar here in the U.K., London based and I cannot find anywhere. 🙏🌈👍
I've cracked the frame connecting the wheel nearest the seat post- will i need to hack both sides of the frame off to fit the extender? the problem is that i can't see any use now of rewarding as its only going to weaken the frame and a new triangle is poisonously expensive
Innovative? Every owner knows that the standard 4 wheels are crap! The first thing you change on your B is these crap wheels for skateboard wheels. But still ...It is a good bike , I use it daily so are many of my fellow Dutchmen/women...But please don't call Brompton "innovative" For that you have to listen to your customer base Only a matter of time that Dahon will beat them.

when pedaling, will it causes heel strike?
I’m in the market for the same products in your video. Definitely going to look into the links you provided, thanks for sharing.
I think I would get model with rear carrier as it has four roller wheels for more stability 😉
Those easy wheels dont interfere with the back of your ankles?
I think it does
It does hit the heel a bit. And will need to adjust your feet position when pedaling. But the rolling is so smooth when folded.
Has Bromptonb gone out of business? Can’t seem to access their site

whats the size of alley key for this opening this screw.? 7:06
Helpful review. Thanks!
Is your extender still working well? Mine from bikegang has some issues with the opening and closing. Did you experience kind of the same thing with yours of bikefun?
How did you get on with the extender long term?
Any heel strikes when pedaling?
Where do I buy the easy wheel extender in the UK?

Are you still using the extender bar? Is it working well?

to avoid heel strike , use the same size of wheel be it a from a skateboard or in line skates.
To avoid heal strikes place your feet straight on the pedals
Thanks for all the info! I think I’ll go for those wheels and the extender - useful upgrades.
Ps those links don’t seem to be working unfortunately
Pps nice watch! (Seiko SKX?)
The links for the products do not work - do you have any updated ideas ?
Hi can I asked if installation of extender bar will damage our Brompton frame ?
Just read somewhere today that someone is enjoying great success with using skateboard wheels.
Happy 2018, keep on uploading brother!
Does the extension bar come out when riding , especialy on curvy trajectory
any reply?
No, you really have to pull it out
The links don't work!!
Can you add larger wheels to the Double Mudguard component?
mine falls over with x-roller installed and bike installed. Really annoying
Hi there , great video and I am hoping you can help with a link to purchasing the easy wheels and extender bar here in the U.K., London based and I cannot find anywhere. 🙏🌈👍
Why not install the rack afterwards? Makes it more stable!
Because it increases weight
Video was pleasant to listen to well-made and some good tips thanks
Did he say "Brompton"? 🤗
Great review. It looks like you have some issues with your website (500 Internal Server Error)
Mate, will this cause Heel Strike when riding? tks
It does.
Hi! The links are no longer working! any idea where i can get these?
www.808cycles.com/product/b-cycles-80mm-eazy-wheels-for-bromptons/
www.808cycles.com/product/bikefun-extender-bar-for-brompton-eazy-wheels/
I think the BromptonB.com site has been taken down for copyright violation. Where else can we get these extensions?
If you Google "Brompton wheel extender", you should find multiple sources.
Excellent video - thanks, professionally presented and objective - cheers - Peter
Thanks for the helpful video!
Hi! @DevonReviewer are the double rears wheels mandatory for the extension bar please? (sorry for my English)
No they are not
A lot of questions on here with no answers! Thx

Maybe this is what you need: www.eerdermetaal.nl/brompton_reparatiebrug.html
Ur links don’t work man
I wish the brompton designed it properly. It does not wheel well and is out of balance folded.
I haven't got time to do it a RUclips advert so I get the free stuff so I just used luggage wheels 5.99 off Amazon
dead links
I love youtube, 1: for good reviews. 2: It makes me realise how dumb are some of the contributers are.
Nice review..
Bird strike
