AWESOME! I particularly liked the opening sequence. Very cool. I also liked the transitions and the shot in the city where the camera zoomed out as he walked behind the building and he was still the same relative size as the building (I love small touches like that). great job.
very true. the reason that blue and green are common is due to the fact that there is no red hue in them. If you eliminated the red from a shot, skin tones disappear, and usually people are what gets chroma keyed out the most.
Awesome, Tom! That was really creative and fun to watch. Love the closing shot - gave me a great idea for a promotional video I'm putting together. Thanks! Well Done. Cheers.
For some reason I've always thought this video would be crappy, as it always pops up in my recommendations. But some of these are actually nicely done!
It probably won't affect it, unless your seem is gaping wide. The reason you want the most consistency in colour and lighting for a green screen effect is because then you can have the threshold lower, lowering the chance of the effect taking away parts of your video that you didn't want it to remove.
that was some impressive keying. i saw a few artifacts in some close up shots but most of it was a relatively clean key. the walking in the grass part was impressive. the shadows on the character were obviously digital, but convincing enough to forgive.
Reflection on buildings is most probably just a copied layer, flipped horizontally and with a mask so only everything in the windows shows and then made slightly transparent. I could be wrong, but it's not hard to find out how to do that AT ALL. The rest of the video: NICE JOB :D In the shots where you're walking through the buildings the perspective of your body is off, but the last one works very, very well. Your greenscreen is definitely really good!
Now THAT is alot of work. Very well done!! Anyone that's familiar with after effects know most of those scenes took PAINSTAIKING days to create just a few seconds of hand applied masking, frame by frame, especially the city shot. And your motion tracking/motion isolation is spotless. I'm still working on my skills. (check my vids) Good work!
Yes. thats what export means. If it lags, make sure to select a video compressor in the output module options tab. It should say "Lossless" as a default. I use Xvid as a compressor, so yeah. Hope that helps.
lol it's actually just a combination of two effects, one being "wiggle" which is applied to the x and y axis of the video, either that or a camera layer, there's tons of different ways of doing that effet, and the other being motion blur, which is as easy as clicking a check box (literally) Not sure, but it seems like he also used an adjustment filter off some kind to make him look lower quality (like a home movie). Again, there's tons of ways to do certain effects.
i love the background dialogue
"woooee...look at that...OMG" as your friend enters the background lol!
wow, great comp of things you can do. especially liked when you were a giant walking through the city.
1:36-1:53 i love this one, especially the people in the background reacting to the frickin huge man. nice.
Fricken love the Soda Can!!! I've gotta learn to do dat!!!
Awesome dude. My favorite ones were the city and the grass. You did that really well
That's really good. My favorite was this part where you were in the grass. Great job.
The beginning looks like a national geographic logo attack. xD
**AWESOME** video!!!
best green screen effects i've ever seen!
All I can say is wow, great job. I hope to learn some of those effects although I'm not attending a University.
1:17 Nice Reflection In Building .
1:33
nice :) "woah! look at that!"
wow the music reminded me of a salvia trip lol good after effects use though
Its all about the art of the arrangments. The features are only the technical. The thing is how you can use the features wisely. This video is NICE...
The 'walking through the buildings' bit was fantastic.
AWESOME! I particularly liked the opening sequence. Very cool. I also liked the transitions and the shot in the city where the camera zoomed out as he walked behind the building and he was still the same relative size as the building (I love small touches like that). great job.
this is one of my favorite songs from half life 2, its fucking brutal! when you get to the hideout
I didn't know After Effects would do such amazing camera tracking! I'm seriously considering getting it now... I like the handheld style
That was a great Cloverfield-esque scene near the end...wow. That's really impressive effects!
this looks like the kind of 'fun' educational videos I was showed in primary school... with its 80's special effects

i like how you managed to put a reflection of the big guy on one of the buildings, makes him seem more in the shot, nicely done :)
Super.
The city and the forrest effects are VERY nice!
For some reason I've always thought this video would be crappy, as it always pops up in my recommendations. But some of these are actually nicely done!
I cant anderstand how you make it look like its being filmed by an actual person when the dude is walking in the city.. rly cool!
It probably won't affect it, unless your seem is gaping wide.

Thats has to be one of the best After Effects clips I have seen...Excellent work man
Keep it up
wow that is really impressive for only using after effects. i guess it just goes to show you how powerful that program really is.
one of the weirdest but coolest videos ive ever seen
I like the part in the city, you disappear in the back of buildings, but buildings far away are behind you :) that looks real
That was REALLY IMPRESSIVE... you got a lot of talent... congratulations... very Nice job.

Awesome stuff man!! I use after effects for my videos too and I know how much work it takes for each effect!!

woof, now there's a whole heap of masking for ya
wow youre the master of the effects 0_0
Cool! Nice job on the special effects.
Funny ;) Great idea. That is what I like. Sometimes you forgot about adjusting yourself (curves, hue&saturation).
you can mask the bulidings and in photoshop cut layers and parent them to each other to get them into one piece
Damn that was FREAKING AMAZING
Ok, now I NEED after effects
Absolutely incredible!
dood - that was AWESOME -
Best after effects video ever, man you really impressed my :)
awesome work with after effects :)
