I just bought a 2022 Ford F550 Super Duty Lariat Edition with the 6.7L PowerStroke and instead of a bed on the truck I Have a self-load wrecker because I’m a tow truck driver. I would absolutely LOVE to learn how to make all the factory lights on my truck flash like this. This would be a game changer when I’m out on a service call on Interstate 95 (where no one believes in the slow down, move over law). I think this would definitely help catch their attention more…
I’ve been clipped a couple times by cars and head more close calls with big rigs then I’d like to admit, this would definitely be a safety game changer for me. Absolutely Love your video, so much that I just subscribed to your channel…
But the only downfall is that I don’t have the C-rings on my headlights. And my mirror spot light is on the bottom of the mirror that lights up the ground.

cool I would consider adding front and rear 4k dashcams. That way if someone messed with the truck they pay!
Amazing work! Just a note, you can enable the fog lights to be on with your DRL within FORScan if you didn’t know by now. I realize this vid is 2 yr old.

I’ve wired flasher modules in the markers for quite a few people. Either installed led markers or use factory on those equipped. Looks way better than a light bar IMO.

Using forscan you can add the fog likes on with the DRL so when you go into gear the fog lights are on as well as the c ring lights I have pictures of my truck set this way

you know you could just buy something that goes into the obd2 and makes every exterior light strobe plus whatever you add after the fact then just run it to the aux switches or the switch it comes with. mine has 10 flash patterns. no harnesses no nothing. just plug it in and good to go

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod mine been working fine past few yrs and between 3 trucks. when i pick up my new truck in a few weeks its going on that too. plus it doesnt void anything if something goes wrong on the truck. like like my last f450 whole left side windows and locks didnt work if i had that they would of told me im shit out of luck

You have two modules for your mirrors? I can only find one on their website.. “Mirror Spot With Speed Override” I’m hoping that does both white/amber strobes. Let me know if I’m wrong?

You could have done all that with a "Z FLASH" obd adapter for under $250; and FYI its a violation of Federal DOT Law & Regulations to have a 3rd Brake light flashing/strobing!

That is awesome what you guys did. I had my front door glass tinted to match the rest of the glass. I have to admit making left turns down here in the boonies it's freakin dark Bro. I'd like to install the Ford mirror spots to come on solid when I use the directionals. (Like the cornering lights that the Big Ford's and Thunderbirds had back in the day)

Awesome lights. Work construction and these will be sweet for the night shift. Next I have a question: Any way to tie into the 360 camera's to record like a DashCam? Tesla is using the 360 as dashcam security, does Ford have that option?

Can you add the lights that you call the C rings after you buy one or does it have to be installed from factory? I have the ultimate package I would think the proper wiring would be installed.
If you have halogen lamps, ud have to get a harness to adapt to the single 20 pin connector going to my head lamps. Then if that all works then maybe what u saw here. I know those c rings may be a bit of a pain to get to work....from what i am hearing....
Very cool looking truck. I just found your channel and subscribed! I am upgrading to a Super Duty next year but would like to do the lights on my current 2020 F150. I don’t need the light setup you have on this truck, just the LED’s in the front and rear. Who makes the best upgrade led lights? Say a midrange and a high end setup? And what state are you in? I will be doing some upgrades to the Super Duty when it arrives. Thanks for your time.

U know you could just buy the atomic gamechanger and it's one module that plugs directly into body control modules on the pass floor. It does everything but the roof unless you want all 5 to strobe at once because you don't cut any wires or add any it's plug and play and take 15 minutes to do. Cost 300$ and simple as unplug 3 plugs and plug into new plugs and back into factory wiring...
HA! Good luck with that!!!! Let me know how your BCM likes that when it melts down. Ill pass in the cheap 300. In this situation your get what you pay for, bottom line.

I’d like to see if your contact can engineer a solution to add LED bed lights using ford switch and bed LED fixture. I bought an OEM switch just to experiment and quickly noticed it needs a proprietary ford plug and wire harness .. same for the 2 LED bed fixtures. The OEM switch is momentary (not an on/off)

Michael Adams Is your beast an XL or an STX? It seems that Ford didn't leave a pigtail to add the bed lights. Even if you go to Fordparts.com they have a kit to install the bed lights in everything........ Except the XL & STX.

Agree'd .. that's why I was hoping you had access to or knew the connector type on the back of the OEM power switch and OEM LED fixture. I think, all I need is a latching relay and a 12v source.

This is going to be a random question:
When you open the door or unlock the door on a superduty, the turn signals on the halogen headlights glow amber for a couple of seconds. Do they do the same on the oem leds for the 20-22 when opening or unlocking the door?
And can you ride with the reflectors on without the drls.. or is that only possible with the halogen headlights?
I'm picky about my lights too😂

So, I bought an overhead console with the upfitter switches for my F-150 and the Ford pigtail do you think he’d make me up a harness and relay box as close to OE? I looked at the wiring diags it looks like a good bit of work not to mention it looks like the module interfaces with the BCM.. I just want it to look factory and light up but be simple.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod I didn’t, I felt like an idiot after asking that, I meant to edit that out but my phone signal dropped. My truck is the F150 version of a Lariat Value. So it’s a mix of halogen and LED. It’s annoying, I’m trying to replace the exterior lights with OE LEDs but that is a ton of conversion harnesses. I wish they could make these for halogens so I could just change the bulbs in the fog lights, license plate lights and CHMSL and still have this work.

I’d like your input on a problem I just had with my 250. I took the running boards like your’s off for a bit to see if I liked it. Didn’t like it. Well, when I was going to install the driver side back on, the top most stud nearest the driver seat fell into the bubbled sheet metal cavity. I’m guessing the spot weld broke when I swung the bracket into it. Any way to fix that? Or maybe a part number on that stud so I can order one? Anything helps thanks!

If I may pick your brain. Have a 17 Platinum 6.7 with 42000 on it. Which just sat at the dealer for the last 10 days because once again there are no codes. The truck has had electrical issues sense new. Talking safety issues from losing all lights to just shutting off like you shut off the key, to the running boards coming out and going right back in. Which put two people face down in the dirt. So pretty much name it and the best part is like I said it never throws a code so Ford has no idea on how to fix it with out a code. The new issue which comes and goes. When you put it in drive I get a bang from the trany almost like you got hit in the ass. But then it jumps from drive up to 5th or 6th gear and of course the truck won`t move. Or if it does it won`t shift out of 1st gear. You have to shift into neutral then back to drive. Then maybe it will up shift but sometime it won`t go above 3rd. Any idea would be great. As I said my dealer says they have never seen anything like it and are clueless.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod I do pull cabs and I know anything running from the cab to the frame will be an issue. You are not the only Ford mechanic. Since you obviously didn’t do the install from what I can tell and there wasn’t an install video to compare was simply asking if the extra wires would be an issue. 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️. Basically wanted to know if there were any what I call mystery wires coming out of the cab to the frame especially running to the rear?
All the wires broski.....are ALLLLLL attached to the harnesses that go up with the cab. Yea......I, WE installed them. Ran them accordingly...now someone else....that might be a different story....definitely did not make more work for myself....

Well dam I actually have a perfect use for this but the truck I ordered is an XLT with halogens. If I were to get aftermarket morimoto headlights and LED taillights could this work I'm wondering? Loving these videos and the podcast btw!
