This was very helpful. I do roadside emergency volunteer to people who cannot afford it. My son was killed on the side of the interstate so I’m bout to help for the rest of my life and I went through so many wires so much Rudy this was very helpful and appreciated. Now I don’t have a car right now, but when I get another one, I will be back doing the same thing, but I have been looking for different ways to rearrange them lights😂thanks
Also consistent flash patterns are more eye catching than random patterns and fast-slow intermittent speeds. We are pattern recognizing creatures. Patterns grab our attention more than spontaneity.
1. Absolutely love your truck 2. As a volunteer firefighter I am most definitely getting this for my truck. Most people unfortunately miss the visor lights and traffic advisor when I'm responding directly to a call
A fuse does not reduce the power output that is the job of a resistor. Running this directly to the battery will not damage the unit as all the power in the vehicle is the same voltage. The fuse is only there as a failsafe if there is a short.
The rubber boot for the brake pedal actuator rod has a raised area about the diameter of an ink pin sticking out on the engine side. Cut the end of that nipple off and you have drivers side firewall access. I've done this with about 100 plow trucks.
Speed Turtle Engineering accomplished this years ago with an OBD port plug in that takes about 5 min up to 1 hour on some newer vehicles depending on vehicle to installing it on without all this extra wiring.
Just installed my BCM kit. thanks for the step by step. i didn't use the fire wall grommet. i went underneath and used the parking brake grommet. Is there a way to get the head lamps to flash?
Whats a 'T top' ?? Im just learning this stuff and videos like this are super helpful. Ive just never come across this before. Also that looks really cool! It came with great flash patterns too!
So I have an upfitter switch in my truck already. So i know i can hook it up to one of them but is the red momentary switch really needed if Im just going to tap it into the same red wire already
I wonder why the module doesn’t include blinking fog lights and headlights I was really hoping for that But mines already installed I forgot to think about that
Super cool but very illegal here in canada unfortunately all ambers would be okay but amber white mix is reserved for security identification and red is reserved for fire and ems otherwise flashing red alone is okay but too many mixed signals with amber red and white especially on a newer truck people may mistake it cool though!
Not sure what province you are in but Ontario Highway Traffic Act doesn't mention white, only intermittent red or blue. Can't see anyone ticketing for white strobes, alternating headlights are not permitted however. I have had white and Amber strobes on a tow truck and done many police calls with them on and never was questioned. I'm pushing the limit a bit and making a strobing ammo box to set on the ground with blue and red led "rock lights" as people do not slow down for Amber. I don't think I will have a problem but they are not mounted or attached to a vehicle so I think I would win in court if I was ever challenged.
Hey man, great video! I just got my z-flash kit. I have few questions since I need help completing the install. Can you drop a link to the in-line fuse and extra wiring you're using? I think I am going to go that route for power. Also how do you know what plug to connect to between the truck BCM and the z-flash module? Does it matter? Lastly, will this ruin my halogen bulbs on the truck or any of the factory lights? I I have a 2016 silverado LT Z71.
They make a GM upfitter switch kit that will replace the lower panel under the steering wheel that has 5 switches that have their own fuses and relays, they also are backlit and match all the GM switches. Just google GM upfitter switches. I did that for my led lights in my bumper and my truck looks factory inside.
Did you ever have problems with your BCM? I figure $1,000 to buy and replace a BCM would still end up costing less if it lasts 3 years with this installed, compared to buying and running additional strobes like whelens.
Excellent job and description Mark , just need 2 bits of information please , the gauge or a link for the wire spool you used ( red &black ) and a link for the Las fit led amber bulbs in front , one more ? , we’re the third brake lights factory led ? , I think mine are , 2019 Silverado 1500 , thank you in advance, and once again great job , You got my attention, no pun intended…
I have a Ford Escape that I Uber in part time on an extremely busy campus area. Having a flash kit would really help my vehicle stand out in a crowd of Uber vehicles.
This mod looks awesome, hitting the link to buy now...hope it's an affiliate link so you make a little too. Got a quick question for you -- I have a 2020 LT and was thinking about getting a clear strip of vinyl installed across the front of the hood to protect against rock chips (already have one). Any pros/cons. Any better idea (besides the big, ugly, plastic bug shields)? Thanks!
Ah yes GM paint is pretty bad in that respect. What area are you in? I would recommend having the front part of the hood wrapped in PPF to protect it. It’s a little pricey but worth it if you plan to keep the truck for some years
ya I got my truck PPF on the whole front of the truck and it has been great. No paint chips whatsoever and the shop I got it through has a 10 year warranty so if anything happens to it I can get it replaced whenever I want no questions asked
Halogens rule. I HATE LED for warning and general lighting. LED has their uses, but people just go to the extreme. They are also damaging people's eyes.
You talk way too fast, you ramble, You make things a hell of a lot more intimidating than they need to be. In short your video is EXTREMELY overwhelming just from the intro. Making a relatively straightforward process seem like something you'd rather not try Especially with your video.

Slower flash patterns are more noticeable from a distance. Rapid patterns from a distance look like a steady-on light.
Very cool info, will remember this
Interesting 🤔
Also consistent flash patterns are more eye catching than random patterns and fast-slow intermittent speeds.

Unless you have extremely terrible eyesight, this is incorrect.
1. Absolutely love your truck
2. As a volunteer firefighter I am most definitely getting this for my truck. Most people unfortunately miss the visor lights and traffic advisor when I'm responding directly to a call

"all the power in the vehicle is the same voltage." enter 40 kV starter coil
All the power source* is the same.... his statement is still correct as resistors drop the power down to spec for said item
Definitely check your local laws. Red/White is illegal in many states. Amber/White is typically for construction. Don't be Jeremy Dewitt
Dude your truck is awesome! The lights look sick!
Feniex 4200 mini will be your best friend for small and versatile to control everything
FYI you can go through the drivers side firewall. I ran the on/off switch for the front lightbar on silverados at my work
wow your truck looks amazing even without the strobes... its a long double cab, can't get my head around it.... really cool!
It’s a crew cab. Sweet tho

One of the coolest mods ive seen in a while 🔥
That's super cool there bro.
Good video, I will be buying this and installing in my 2021 2500 Silverado.
Speed Turtle Engineering accomplished this years ago with an OBD port plug in that takes about 5 min up to 1 hour on some newer vehicles depending on vehicle to installing it on without all this extra wiring.
And also has been proven to FRY vehicles BCMs and even the PCM. It's a junk product that only uneducated people such as yourself recommend to others.
Sweet green 💚 on the Silverado
Obnoxious is a good thing with warning lights, you are correct. I want this so bad, I'm just electrically illiterate
Just installed my BCM kit. thanks for the step by step. i didn't use the fire wall grommet. i went underneath and used the parking brake grommet. Is there a way to get the head lamps to flash?
Looks really good bro. Do you think it would allow those LED truck bed hatch light bars that mount between the truck bed hatch and rear bumper
Whats a 'T top' ?? Im just learning this stuff and videos like this are super helpful. Ive just never come across this before.
Also that looks really cool! It came with great flash patterns too!
this is great for any truck
So I have an upfitter switch in my truck already. So i know i can hook it up to one of them but is the red momentary switch really needed if Im just going to tap it into the same red wire already
Truck looks bad ass. The light show is a cool add on
Hay Mark, do you know if anything like this is available for the 2023 tundra? I work on roads and I NEED this!
Looks really nice...
If a trailer is connected will the trailer lights also flash as well?
Good job man very good video
Just need these for the desert on my truck
Question the tailgate handle has light was that factory or custom?
How about connecting to the existing hazard flasher button?

Would this work on a Civilian P71 crown victoria (police interceptor)
I have Lassiter in my 17 and love them especially the headlight bulbs 😎👍
Hi. What is a Lassiter?
Hey man! I have a '96 viper I'm making into a replica pace car. Any suggestions for plug and play for this old of a car?
Thanks!
I wonder why the module doesn’t include blinking fog lights and headlights I was really hoping for that But mines already installed I forgot to think about that
Are these available for a 2020 Silverado 3500 dually ???
What color green number on the silverado thank you.
What are the lights under the truck for? :-)
Will this work for a 15 Nissan Versa by chance?

Does the high beams flashing too ?
Anyone know if you can only flash certain lights? Or is it all
Or nothing
I hear a little ticking noise when the lights flash is that normal
Well this flash trailer lights as well?
Hey man, great video! I just got my z-flash kit. I have few questions since I need help completing the install. Can you drop a link to the in-line fuse and extra wiring you're using? I think I am going to go that route for power. Also how do you know what plug to connect to between the truck BCM and the z-flash module? Does it matter? Do not run the strobe functions with the halogen bulbs. Change them to LED first only then you can use it
Can i put it on a jeep compass?
We’re can I find these in Canada
Damn still confused. This is why I pay people to do it for me 😭

Are those available for Tacomas?
is there a module for toyota?
What kit is that ?
Where do I order this from?
Where can I purchase this?
Are there any kits like this for a 2013 F150?
Can you please give me the website so I can order it for my truck
Did you ever have problems with your BCM? I figure $1,000 to buy and replace a BCM would still end up costing less if it lasts 3 years with this installed, compared to buying and running additional strobes like whelens.
I want that for toyota tundra 2019
Can you still use the head lights when everything else is strobing ?
Yeah headlight don’t flash or anything
Hey bro really nice truck and I'm ready order mine..what size of rims you got?
thanks a lot they are 22s
Would look better without the grill light flashing.
I bought the Speed Turtle 3.0 Easy Set Up no wires to the battery plug n play and turn on its Easy
I wish I would have got the speed turtle
@@pauldanielwilliams5136 I love it better than the Z Flash
Is there one to make the headlights flash too?
Speed turtle 3.0 flashes headlights
What if I have all LED light bulbs, will it still work?
I bought the Speed Turtle 3.0 I have a 2020 Trailboss and it works Great its all Plug n play no wires to the battery or nothing Easy Set up
No you don't want to rotate through patterns pick one medium speed pattern ( retired emergency worker here)
Pricey. Only available for certain vehicles.
VERY GOOD I HAVE A QUESTION IS IT LEGAL TO USE THIS TYPE OF LIGHTS
Hell yes lol
Cool kit to bad it flashes the reds that can get you in trouble with the law i wish they made a kit that would only flash the amber and clear bulbs
Imagine going down the road on the first setting.....people will think your a undercover cop
do u think this would void my warrenty
It doesn’t re write any codes so no it won’t
Excellent job and description Mark , just need 2 bits of information please , the gauge or a link for the wire spool you used ( red &black ) and a link for the Las fit led amber bulbs in front , one more ? , we’re the third brake lights factory led ? , I think mine are , 2019 Silverado 1500 , thank you in advance, and once again great job , You got my attention, no pun intended…
Some police departments use this for undercover cars just make one of the tail lights blue
If I’m cutting up in traffic you think people will give me the right of way ? 🤔
I just got pulled over last night for my black and white plates 😭
No way? Fix it ticket?
???
Is this legal?
Flashing your third brake light is against federal motor vehicle law just FYI
Next time order Speed Turtle flasher
I have a Ford Escape that I Uber in part time on an extremely busy campus area. Having a flash kit would really help my vehicle stand out in a crowd of Uber vehicles.
True!!
Oh no a t-tap why not stick both wires into the main switch the take your pig tail over to your momentary

👉🏻💯👈

no wonder why this man use a cap on the head
Halogens rule. I HATE LED for warning and general lighting. LED has their uses, but people just go to the extreme. They are also damaging people's eyes.
Too bad the BCM will be fried before long from this.
BCM ? and WHY ?
There's a reason they call these the BCM annihilator. Don't install these lmao
These are great but for the price they are extremely overpriced. gTu are better and half the price
You actually paid for those electronic plates? $1000+ wasted.
😂🤣
No mine are wrapped. I would never pay a G for that 😂

Is this even legal
Flashing red is usually illegal though
Why that shit?
