For those of you watching. You can use transistors as well. They are also quite. Transistors have a number of uses. Strobes are one reason. But because of the speed a transistor is recommended. Especially since they can be used for signal amplification. Also because relays have moving parts they go bad faster. Computer hardware was my first ever college course. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. LOVE YOUR CONTENT!
Looks great but the relays are likely to die as well as just be annoying. You can achieve the same using mosfets instead, or solid state relays (which is n optically coupled mosfet) if you've not used Mosfets before and a little unsure.
Are you using a solid state relais for your direct power feed? Because if it’s a conventional elektromagnetic relais with contact points it’s not gonna take long for them to overheat and burn out. No? They switch everytime a light output is activated which in a strobe setup is alot and on a short time period. You should be using solid state relais, since they switch using an elektronical component (semiconductor) and don’t have internal switching contact points which in their turn don’t overheat in quick switching conditions. Otherwise great vid and I ordered the strobe flasher but I chose physical buttons on the cars dash. A safety fighter type red switch and a steel push button. Gonna look great in my C200 Road assistance vehicle. 🙌
A great way to replace the relay with it's mechanical elements which tend to fail, would be a solution based on MOSFETs. No mechanical elements, no clicking noise and a very long lifespan. // I like your videos a lot - keep on posting, pls! 👍😎👍 Cheers, TOBi
Is there a mode for for the light to remain on with no flash, I have a work truck that has the hood pods I use and then also need them to flash while in the field, or would all this require is an additional power and switch ?
Do you have a Facebook or Instagram? I have lights on my car I'm having an issue n im not sure how to solve. I also looked into led turning signal relays which Amazon has for my car but I dont have a flasher relay n my fuse box that I can see.
Great video! Finally someone that gets close enough to my targeted goal for me to ask a question. I wanna do something like this but I wanna do it with off-road lights. I have amber lights and white lights that are fully functional and I really want to get a strobe out of them alternating between ambers and whites. I dont really need so many modes, only 1 mode to be trigered by 1 button. So, would you advice to look at this setup or would you advice me to look for something different? I would do it all with relays cuz a 300 watt lightbar aint gonna be powered by that little thing, but I'm more concerned about the triggering itself. I wanna go with a physical button on a rocker switch panel. Thanks for any advice on this man, you won a subscriber just for this video
Hey Chris. I know that this is a old video. But you should try the shome Led flasher 11.1005STT it has turn signal and parking lights inputs. The flasher bright dim for parking light and 100% for brake or turn signal. I have it my truck.
Getting full voltage to the light for maximum light output is a good idea but when using a solid state flasher that is capable of bursts that are milliseconds long in a series driving an electromechanical device (relay) will cause cause severe premature failure of the relay when you can achieve the same result by keeping the wire length to an absolute minimum. But if you want to be known for making devices the fail on a regular basis and doing rework on devices that you are hiding in assemblies that have to be disassembled for repairs then keep using relays and long wires. I loose money if I have rework or bad word of mouth reports.
Swapping a 1 dollar part of it ever fails, all in trade for a crazy extra amount of light is a great trade off. Idealism isn’t practical my guy, How short should that wire be? 🤣
@@flyryde I would use multiple electronic flash units that have synchronization with direct power connection rather than driving a relay that will fail. Keep the flasher as close as possible to the light assembly so voltage drop is at a minimum and current is constant.
Use a Feniex led/halogen strobe flasher unit they are 50$ have like 20 parted and 3 separate control modes I’m telling you you will love them! I use them on many builds to get multi purpose out of running and flood lights specifically! Plz try one! You can thank me later lol
Adding that unit to your vehicle it would be illegal in most countries I'm in New Zealand & it would be Totally illegal especially when driving & you happen to hit the remote by accident & flashed like that & a traffic Officer happens to see those lights flash like that you will likely get Busted & a fine & will most likely be told to take that unit out Kind Regards Peter
Surge no it’s highly illegal. Most people that follow along with these videos end up serving 5-10 for modifying the lights on their cars. You probably shouldn’t watch any further.

Thanks very helpful!
Just wondering how would I go about making my set up digital to my touchscreen radio?
That remote is basically a "Lift master" garage door opener.
I installed one at the Fire Department.
4:57 Im looking for something I can use as a warning flasher on the back of my bicycle trailer. This could work

Does the relay slow down the speed of the flashing?
brother I want to know how to install that equipment in a 2014 camaro
cool toy, could this be installed in lets say a bmw f30, the halo rings and the tail light? and still keep the original functionality of the lights?
Can this be done for sealed beam round headlights for an old police car application?
Do you have a video how to connect it to the relay?
Do you really need an LED flasher with modes?
Can you reverse the power in to out and use 87 and 87a for power put to switch between running lights and strobe lights?
What about if you have your lights on, does it override them?
have you any idea .. how to install it on the car for people who nerver ever tried something like that?
so the key relay wires straight to the car battery?
Question does the vehicle have to be on or can it be off to work as well

How would that work? Please explain how to install
@@JETSIGNS That's hard to explain in text, but you should be able to find an explanation and samples with search terms like "MOSFET switch circuit".
@@WestBerlinCustoms awesome thank you!
Hi,
I really like your Videos, Thank you
When using sho-me led flasher for my head light do i also need to use a Diod?

A $40 way to catch an impersonation charge lmao
Yeah... sadly you’d have to resist the urge to push a button that turns on show only modes. You think that’d be pretty tough eh?
Hahaha!!

Good way to fry your relays iddidnit?
Might be a dumb question, but what do you to provide power tot test the controller?
This video was MADE for you 👌

Did you create those LED "lightning" strips yourself or are they bought some where?

@@flyryde I have a better idea instead of using flashers
Strobe flashing made easy🚨🚨🚨
Adevern Jobe it’s be really easy if I didn’t have to add the relays lol
Thank you I have the previous product with a nob switch... Works great x my truck... Now with remote be even greater... Thank you a lot...
I cant seem to find the follow up to this video you mention. Where might I find it? Thank you.
Maybe this?

remote is discontinued now
Flasher shown in the video and the one linked in the description is not a Sho-Me brand.
Hey dude where can I buy? What apps or what website?
Wowwwww.. That is so Kool.. keep it up man..👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Tyrone Begay thanks bro! Glad you’re watching 🙏
WHAT SIZE OF WIRE YOU USE MAN?
Maybe using a solid state relay instead
Your work makes me want to get a nice car lol.
Tail End Customs haha, I want a nice car too
FlyRyde I feel ya brotha. Family first. 👍
Next mod for the Renegade!
Leandro Escobar sweet! I’m gonna see about some new parts before I add this to the GTR. Hopefully the Evo doesn’t need relays, we’ll see 👍
I need to take my car so I can have that setup 🤔

They are now 74 dollars 😮
Those relays are not going to last long. Relays are to turn on or off devices , you need a flasher instead
