#SpyroTheDragon 2 #RiptosRage was perhaps the Spyro game I had the least experience with as a kid. When I replayed it as an adult, I genuinely didn't remember any of it, and yet it seemed so familiar to me. Despite my lack of nostalgia for the game, however, this is still just as excellent as the other other entries in the classic #InsomniacGames trilogy with so much more personality than the first game, and retaining just as much charm.

I'm surprised no one ever questions why Spyro doesn't just threaten to fry moneybags each time he makes you pay for something.

You already found all 14 when you got there. So essentially, they WEREN'T used to defeat Ripto. They were used to defeat Crush and Gulp.
And you don't even really use them in any of their boss fights either. In fact, the orbs they collected were more useful in defeating Ripto than the Talismans. Sure, they were used to open the doors to their boss rooms, but with the importance placed on them, you'd think they would've played more of a role than just that.
With friends like Hunter, who needs enemies?
What do I need Ripto for when I have Hunter? I'm unstoppable!

Now I don't know if that was just a thing in the remastered trilogy, but surprised you didn't complain about Hunter constantly throwing the powerup orbs during Ripto's battle close to Ripto most of the time.

Considering how Hunter is throughout the second and third game, it would probably make more sense if instead of playing games with Hunter for his entertainment, he is instead challenged by minor enimies for the talismans or eggs, but he needs Spyro's help.

Sure, there's also the whole 'Bianca turning good' thing as well as her making the portal we go through to take out the Sorceress, but that could be easily rectified by having Bianca be a boss fight and after beating her, we get the key to get into the Sorceress' Castle or whatever.

David Timmer I owned the original 3 on ps1 for years
David Timmer My copy of reignited didn’t come with any codes to download the other two games. I just put the disc in and it the standard procedure of any hard copy game of installing and updating. Went to play it and all 3 games were there. I didn’t have to redeem and download rest of the game through the store. So I have no idea what they meant by the whole download thing.
Ayy, it was nice to hang out with the fanbase in the premiere. Hopefully I'll catch up with the one tomorrow!

Yeah, but the whole thing was that at the very least Elora and the others hadn't even seen a dragon before according to Hunter's dialogue at the start, so it's highly likely that that news channel didn't reach to Avalar since it's a completely far off Realm from Spyro's, so the signal is too far.

OK I got to say the fairies were pretty clever to hide one of the orbs in a clam because honestly for one that is a very safe place to keep an order because clams are very protective of their pearls and two anyone who is hunting for the orbs if there a bad guy would probably mistakingly get a pearl instead of an actual herb so that is pretty clever!😂

Handel and Greta work for the Professor, Spyro 3 does explain this. Also everyone in this game is lazy af. I'd nalso like to mention that in the beginning of the game Elora states that we need the Talismans to defeat Ripto, yet when it comes down to just Ripto himself you no longer need any of the Talismans, you need Orbs. If you haven't collected Orbs by that point it could be a misleading problem.
Except you dont need tailsmens to defeat ripto you need ORBS they are so misleading its infuriating. Tailsmens dont do anything yet they want you to waste your time collecting tailsmens for what? For what exactly?

Something that always bothered me about Spyro 2 is that we are told that the Talismans are both useful for excessing new worlds and defeating Ripto but once we get to Winter Tundra they are completely forgotten and never used for defeating Ripto. So, what was the point in obtaining them?

In Spyro the Dragon, Gnasty Gnorc turned gems into warriors who proceeded to invade the Dragonrealms. He then turned many dragons into stone.
In Year of the Dragon, the sorceress has been ruling the Forgotten Realms for a long time. She, through Bianca, starts the plot by stealing the dragon's eggs. Moneybags allies with her. Throughout the worlds you see signs of her rule (like one world where a man tries to destroy a statue of her being built).
Ripto? He unknowingly traps Spyro in Avalar by shooting the portal and keeps taking over castles. Otherwise he doesn't seem to be connected much to what's going on in the levels. It's not like the Breezebuilders were attacking the Landlubbers on his orders or something.
