Great Learning Experience for Your Kids David. Back in 1976 my Father ( I was 12 Years Young Than, I Love You Dad) bought an Husqvarna 65, That's the Saw I learned to Cut Stove Wood, Pulp Wood and Cedar Post With and Still Have That Saw Today 47 Years Later and Still Runs Better Than Any Saw I Have Ever Owned. A Huge Shout out To William F. Greene's Saw Shop for Gifting The Husqvarna 550, For The Kids Forest Education !!!😀😋😀😋

Thanks William. Great gift for a great family thank you to Gill and Jane as well. We homeschool our boys as well. Schools today are not what they used to be for sure. Tell your daughter great job and take advantage of all the daddy daughter time she can get. Won’t be long and she’ll be off on her own
Great job showing your daughter how to run the saw. You have a great hard working family,. You are a blessed man my friend! I hope you like the Logrite. Very kind of Gil and Jane.
Thats a great skill you are teaching your daughter ,very shy but thats is a beautiful thing too , I am sure she will do well with the guidence of you two.
What you said about family and stuff on this episode I just watched it's awesome you are a very good man and a loyal father to your kids your kids are your Mentor that is very awesome you teaching them right in the wrong that is an awesome father and awesome parent
William thank you for helping out David and the kids with that saw, a great saw to learn on. Teaching kids the importance of safety and responsibility that comes with power saws is important and you are doing a great job. Yeah I was sick a while back and it takes it out of you, hate to say it but I am catching whatever the boys at the Ranch have again. I am jonesing for spring time so I can back into the woods and start cutting. We bought a couple log decks so I can keep cutting all winter which has been super nice. Stay safe out there you two, love the daddy daughter time!
That's awesome man. Gotta love a cannon bar, they cost but they're the best bar you can buy, I have a few that have cut close to 5 million board foot and are still straight as can be
David, Your a great dad to your family. Them young ones need ya close . Great job David and Kelsie. I am proud to call ya my friend. God bless ya and keep you safe , Love wins.

Vary sweet young lady , ya did a good job running that chain saw , keep listening to dad . Once again David it's so good to see ya out ripin up firewood with yer young one's.
Another awesome video good to see you teaching your daughter how to run the chainsaw and helping elders that’s how you get good luck helping others traditional way. Always great to hearing the chainsaws run and seeing the different sceneries thank you for bringing us along glad you’re feeling well my friend
Oh look it’s RUclipss finest safety patrol haha I normally do have eye protection for them running saw but I’ve never wore eye protection when running saw and never got hit with any chips well if you ran a saw at all you would know that if you squint they don’t get in your eyes lol don’t like it don’t watch have a beautiful day 😁
Philadelphia checking-in. I don't comment much but I do check out your content. I hope you are well brother. You and the family. Keep up the good work and stay safe 👍💪
Love the video, it's really nice to see a father and his family working together and have a good time!! God bless you and yours!!! With love peace and saw Grease Jay small
Great to see that there are still people who live in harmony with nature. Sawing wood with your daughter 🌲💚❤️ it's so important to be independent these days 👍(home schooling is the way to go in that crazy world) and always remember... Are the rakers to high, the chips will not fly 🤗lovely greetz from Germany
Great that you're teaching your daughter to use a chainsaw and be a hard worker and independent. Yeah, you're right, real good daddy/daughter time, for sure! Probably not long before we see your boy "buck slayer" out with you running the saw, huh? Thanks for another good video! Take care and God bless.
Man that Truck sure looks good, them Aluminum rims look good just remember them lug nuts like to come loose from time to time. Hope you get feeling better soon. Be safe you ✌ two . Great to see ya out working with you daughter. Love wins.
Good seeing ya David and family....awesome job brother...and Thanks too William, Gill and Jane some great people ...hoping you and family start to feel better....🤙
Cool I have a 550 like 4 years now. 16 inch bar.(i know very small) Been 20 years doing everything whit 16 inches bar. Am in Quebec ,so 3 foot stump max. But now I seen a 550 whit long bar...I'll stay short bar.
Thank You William for the wonderful chainsaw for the kids to learn on ! Your a good man ! Oh and Thank You Gill and Jane for wonderful log tool , I know what it is , just can't think of the name right now ?
Congratulations on teaching your daughter the proper way to run a power saw I'm in the process of teaching my son it's a awesome experience also congratulations on your decision to pull your kid from the public school system we did the same thing couple years ago and we have never regretted it so much potential is missed in this cookie cutter system we have
Thanks David! The 550 is a 50cc saw. It is the xp (extra performace) of the 545. Both have the autotune, no carb adjusments. I have the 545 and run it with a 16" sugi for small stuff. Just got a GB bar for milling with a 592. Really like that setup for milling!
When I have to be outside and I'm not all the way over from being sick I wear a cloth mask over my mouth and it helps a lot I cough a lot less. You might want to try it. There is a lot of good people out there in the wood industry I see it all the time. Hope you get feeling better.
The 550xp is a great little saw, I just got me one back in the fall, power to weight ratio is great, the auto tune takes some getting used to, teach them to stand on there own!!
That's great, David.. There's nothing wrong with showing your daughter how to run a saw. Now, when she is dating in 30 years (lol🤣), she can show the young man how it's done..😁👍
Wow, that's great to see a dad teaching his daughter how to do practical chores. It will last her a lifetime and give her the convidence to try most everything else, also. One bad thing, however. My family shot all types of firearms and did a litlle chainsawing from when I was 5. I'm now 75 and can't hear small noises like I used to. Deer & squirrel walking through dried leaves and kitchen timers are just a few of the things not heard anymore. Phone conversations are filled with, "What did you say?". You probably guessed it... we never wore hearing protection and now I'm slightly hard-of-hearing. Please have your daughter wear muffs or plugs on/in her young ears before she has hearing loss. Hearing goes over years not just during one day, week or month of loud noises.
She does wear hearing protection all of my family does when we are cutting wood even if they are not running saw… that’s one thing I am big on because I have bad hearing from never wearing it when I was younger.. only thing we didn’t have was eye protection because it was left in our other truck… thanks for watching my friend

They got left in the other truck thanks
😮 Glad to hear that you’re homeschooling Kelsie. The public school system is terrible.
You ain’t kidding
I'm pretty sure on the deathbed nobody has EVER regretted doing stuff with his/her kids
Why are you cutting pine for firewood? Do you not have hard woods in the west?
It’s not pine and no we do not have hardwood where I live… it’s Douglas fir check a BTU Chart it’s not too far behind some of the hardwoods
@@mountainlifewithdavidkelsie The Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is an evergreen conifer species in the pine family, Pinaceae. It is native to western North America. this was copied from wikipedia
Teach u daughter right from the start by showing her standing up to buck
Where is this. .?
Why do people cut the stumps so high
I cut it high because it was below the road and if I would of cut it low it would of made the log slide down the hill… firewood trees I always cut high stumps but when I am cutting timber for the mill that are always at the ground
Kids should definitely learn to do stuff from a young age. Just don't burn the clutch on the saw...
That young lady needs to be using eye protection, one small piece of wood chip could really cause her problems, take care of the eyes
Ear protection!
She has ear protection
Dried bark is one of the best fire starters I know of why do you keep throwing it away
Can't hear you 💥💥
Perhaps a helmet and some eye protection and she'd be a little more confident
