My kid won't take me to Golden Corral anymore because they said that their food is too high in sodium. My blood pressure is just fine but they still won't take me. Guess I'll have to take the bus! I absolutely love Golden Corral's food. Okra, Yankee Pot Roast, Baked Fish, String Beans, the Salad Bar, Chili, Cornbread, Blueberry Pie (sugar free), Peach Cobble, Soft Serve Ice Cream, endless refills on your drinks. I get a Senior Discount, so for me its a win win situation. 😊 ❤ The staff is great and very friendly and our local restaurant was recently updated. It's beautiful! If you love buffet food, the Golden Corral in Spokane, WA is a must try.
i love that you said that you will just have to take the bus! where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? :-) it IS however, high in sodium, i do feel my heart rate go up after eating there, so, i only go time to time, but what a treat it is.

I always loved going to golden corral growing up with all of my family and omg was their rolls the bomb 😭🤌. Definitely brings back good memories

I've been waiting for the video. 😀The rolls on the buffet looked so good. David loves okra and hushpuppies. That chicken was steaming. I told David I thought the onion ring looked soggy. As soon as I said that you said it was a little soggy. lol That steak is definitely medium rare. It's been awhile since we have been to a Golden Corral but I do remember them having good fried chicken. Best shrimp ever on a buffet- Wow!

wow! thanks soooo much! it truly was the best “fried” shrimp that i have ever had on a buffet. its usually the flat kind of typical pre breaded frozen shrimp, like you get on asian buffets, but this was a “knock your socks off” fried shrimp.
I enjoyed it so much that i will have to get back there but they only have the big ticket items on the weekend so it will always be busy then. but wow, it was amazing!
oh, and if you want to come to manassas va, even though im moving more northward soon, it would be an honor to colab with you guys.

@@vafunseekers moving march 7th from centreville to north herndon, almost to sterling but all of this is not far from where i will be. just a hop, skip and a jump down rt 28 to i-66, and boom, there. :-)
Nice vid. A good buffet is my guilty pleasure. A meat, a starch, a veggie, and enough gravy to cover everything.

❤Springfield MO here...we went last week...husband's B-day...11.99 each at 2pm...early bird dinner...lot of white heads like us...70 and 72...love the food...we had not been for 4 mos cause we've been loww carb...my A1c is 5.9 and his is 5.6...so we are pre-diabetic and don't want to go any higher...6.5 is diabetic...❤Lord Jesus please help us all to eat low carb.. thank you Lord ❤hey everybody please ask Jesus into your heart today while you still have time ❤
its interesting that you mentioned going low carb as i have said, in many of my videos, that we are cutting carbs (down, not out) and we got our pre diabetic numbers down to the safe zone. go and take a look at some of my other videos on low carb or carb free foods and i just did a video about a low carb bread, i talked about a1c and also did blood drop tests on me before and after i ate it.

@@titasmom678 -Thanks for your kind note! I've had a (good) few Whoppers. I have been (mostly) housebound (no longer) but friends bring them over. One afternoon was way/way over the top. Three different friends each bought me a Whopper. I didn't have the heart to tell the third friend I couldn't eat it. I washed off the burger part and gave it to my dog. :>)

It actually looks kind of sparse and messy ..,.i guess they didn't have time to wipe up? I've been to golden corral, I left satisfied.
i hear ya, Sandra… but having said that, but it was wayyyy busier than it appeared, as i scanned the bars, as they told me to do may best to avoid others and not be in the way, if so, then i could film, so i had to edit a lot of that out, lol. it was so slammed, i nearly couldnt get any food at times. lol. it was so good though, i was surprised. i thought it was 2 years, but i think it was more like 4 years as i had to think.. its been a long time since i was there and i think it was way better this time around. thx for stopping by. :-)
@@gailsfoodandstuff thanks for your response, Gail. Like i said, I had no complaints about my two visits. I've waitresses many years , ago, at restaurants when salad bars were a new thing.... it was exhausting and a pain in the keester.

thx mark.. i reposted the “rv/travel trailer” short which really should go viral, as they say, but they keep capping it at 500 or less, so, who knows how the youtube gods work, lol. im moving and packing much of our own stuff, leaving the heavy stuff to the movers, and am so tired. been doing this for days. loading my truck to the hilt, then taking it about 30 mins away and unloading it. got a guy coming to fix the fridge tomorrow (landlord pays for that) but i have to be there, and i hired an air duct cleaning company, that i used before, who will be there tomorrow, and my landscape contractor guy will be there to do stuff that i am paying for, but that the landlord is allowing. she is such a nice lady. we always make any place that we move into, way better than it was before we moved in. its sad how badly renters abuse and neglect the homes they rent. not us, we are very different and treat it as if we own it. :-)

@@MrMarkS-lg7yk my sugar substitute video got to exactly 2k views, before it was “capped off” by the youtube gods, but that was a nice run and good info i was glad to share. i have seen other golden corral videos in the 100k views, so, if they would just do that for me (push it) then that would get me to my hours needed. we shall see.

i was never a “shoveler” but i have seen other youtubers that shovel, lol. i even cut my sushi into 1/2 or 1/3 if its bigger. when i see someone put a whole piece of sushi and rice in their mouth, i would gag, lol. thx for stopping by. maybe even subscribe if you want, as i did cover some other buffets in the past too.

The camera moved way too fast for me. Had to stop watching. Wish you would talk, and tell us what the dishes are.
give it another chance, fast forward, as it was hit and miss if i was going to be allowed to video there. this one said they have NEVER let anyone video.. the manager allowed it but said to be descrete and out of the way. i had to do it that way, and i agree, but please, skip past that as i covered a LOT of food and talked the whole rest of the time. also, with loud music in the background and NO talking, we youtubers get in trouble with “music copyright” laws. and they kick our video off. again, just take another look. thx for stopping by. (hint, most of the food was fantastic and i put much of it right in the camera). ;-)
@@gailsfoodandstuff Just a thought for you Miss Gail: People that are vlogging those huge cruise ships - fine dining, etc, where they cannot talk, have a risk of a copyright strike, they film everything and then do a voice-over (requires you to write a script). Seems like a lot more work, but the sound quality is superb, and the overall result is more professional. But if it's just a hobby, cool.

@@gailsfoodandstuff It looked like they had a cotton candy machine? Many vegetables and dishes that didn't look familiar to me - I've never been east coast. Did they have pizza or grilling on request? What was in the bags in the dessert line? Your hubby color-matching your purse to his jacket was adorable and this was a great video.
@@InvisibleVisible793 pizza was NOT to order, that i know of, just what they put out would go soooo fast. didnt notice any cotton candy, and i dont know what was in bags, sorry. i had to go fast as employees were hounding me since normally no one is allowed to video but the manager, ray, allowed it if i was as discreet as possible as i walked along there.

Went with a Church Senior (15+ years older) I wasn't impressed. Keep it.
try it again, as that was 15 years ago, its really good. i have not been there in a long time and it blew me away. if you watched it all, most everything was surprisingly good. and thx for stopping by and watching. :-)
