Golden Corral is one of my favorite buffet restaurants. My usual go-to is their Bourbon Street Chicken, Fried Fish, Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Stuffing with Gravy, etc. Delicious!
The desert you didn't know what is was Peach Cobbler. Recently there was a lady that spent 12 hours at a Golden Corral. She came at 8:30 in the morning and stayed until 8:30 at night. She never left the restaurant and she only paid for breakfast. None of the staff or managers said anything about her being there all day. It's nice you left and came back for each meal.

It looked like an apple pie/pan cobbler on the right and bread pudding on the left? I've never seen peach cobbler with that color peach and drizzled in white lol
The fact the dude at the register basically coerced you into tipping is a major putoff for me. And the fact you tipped $5 without even experiencing the server's service beforehand is just shocking. I usually wait till im done with my meal to determine how much im tipping the server. Canandians are built different lol.
I have never understood that “it’s the right thing to do mentality” for some services. A tip is just that, a tip for over & above exceptional service. Maybe because I never received a tip in my 27 years in public safety. What did she bring you in a self-serv restaurant?
@@saintbyron5150 that's because majority of food service workers are paid low wages compared to those making livable wages in public safety positions. Some people just appreciate the work other's put in! You seem to not, and that is your right to feel however you want!
We love GC and honestly, you can't beat it for the value but their chicken is 100 percent on point, especially their fried chicken. Our location's chicken is consistently great! Tommy's favorite is the bourbon street chicken. It's so cool to watch GC videos from different locations because they do vary in terms of what they serve. Ours does a pepper, sausage and onion dish that is sooooo good. You also can't beat their salad bar. With inflation what it is today, there's really no where else you can get everything you want and all the fixings for a salad for under $20.
Their salad bar is awesome! I fill up on fried chicken, fried fish, okra, and a few other things, and then fill up a to-go box with a salad that probably costs around $20 due to weight but the whole family can enjoy it. Trying to balance my fats/proteins/carbs!

We love the Golden Corral when we come over to Kissimmee Florida from the UK. They only do breakfast at weekends now since covid which is a shame but the evening buffet is great value and lots of choice. Love your channel 😊
I use to eat at Golden Corral 30 years ago here in Ohio, but over the years it went downhill, and I just stopped going there. Now most of them have closed. The food use to be good, now I have heard it's pretty bad. The location you were at looked nice, and the food actually looked delicious 😊
Same here.. my family used to go to one every other week, it was a highlight of our Saturday nights. Then it just kept going downhill. Food quality and cleanliness was heavily slipping. So we stopped going. They closed down about 10 years ago and never seen one since.
I’m from Rochester I left in 2002 with a job transfer in California. They had the buffet at Pizza Hut when I lived there. Golden corral was not there at the time. Here in the Central Valley in California we do not have a golden corral. I always have wanted to try them. I’ve heard good things about the buffet there.
I love Golden Corral! A lot of people hate on it but it's pretty good. We used to take my papa there before he died so I have a lot of good memories there, my favorite thing is the bourbon chicken over rice..I could eat platefuls of that! They used to have more bread options and the cheddar biscuits were the best, I hate that they don't have them anymore!

I went to the golden coral on international drive a couple of months back there whilst on vacation,That bread pudding was effing awesome,I’m from Scotland,So eating something like this is like being in the twilight zone for me👍👍
I LOVE Golden Corral for the price you cannot go wrong .......Do not forget the beverages include milk, chocolate milk, juice and coffee its all inclusive and the steak off the grill is also great
Golden Corral is not a 5 star restaurant for sure but it is a low cost buffet with good quality food! Our local one has great meatloaf and real mashed potatoes like grandma made! They also have great brussel sprouts, sweet potato casserole and green bean casserole. I love it. My family does too. Better than a fast food burger joint.

I liked Golden Corral’s food. It wasn’t fantastic, but the variety more than made up for it. Unfortunately, the closest one to me closed a while back. For what they charged, it was far more of a treat than a regular place to eat.

Golden Corrals are a coin flip; some are great - tons of quality, well-made food; others, unfortunately, can be dreadful. I've experienced both. This one looks really good. Great video.
My fav guilty pleasure is Golden Corral, my order that I get is: first round: make chicken and beef nachos then one beef taco stuffs with all the fixings, second plate is fried chicken, Mac and cheese, steak fries, mashed potatoes and poultry gravy on them (also in a cup to dip the chicken) broccoli and cheese, hush puppies and fried fish with some lemon wedges, and a side salad, I usually don’t get deserts but if I do it’ll have to be the bread pudding and some ice cream can never go wrong with the bread pudding 🤤
That Golden Corral in Rochester, NY is about 25 years old. I remember seeing the building being constructed. I used to go to St Catherine's at least 6-7 times a year and Toronto 4 times in addition for NJ Devils vs Leafs' games. So, yeah, I saw the building built. Rochester has changed a bit. I live in a small town in central Texas. We used to have a Golden Coral and it wasn't any good. But I have eaten at other Golden Corals around Dallas and Waco, and they were awesome. First time I ever eat at a place with a endless chocolate fountain. The dessert you didn't know what it was, was peach cobbler.
Haven't been to GC since they closed the one in Bellingham, WA, donkey's years ago. But I do remember two things I never missed: The taco bar and the soft serve. Yum!
I love Golden Corral, but they closed the last good one near me during the pandemic. They have an excellent breakfast buffet, so I recommend you trying that whenever you come across another Golden Corral. I also enjoy these cliffhanger videos. Makes me look forward to your next video even more.
I think some places should be absolutely respected when it comes to recording and that’s definitely inside a hospital. It’s just as easy to identify someone from behind from in the front. There’s so much going on at a hospital and you never know who’s who or why they are there. Read that sentence twice, please. Ken please, it’s such an invasion of privacy. This video is great. It made me hungry and I just ate! Enjoyed it. But Ken please, I just wished the respect you showed your friend by not recording him you showed to everyone inside the hospital.
Yeah gotta agree with this one. As a former EMT I used to go in/out of hospitals in the L.A. area and I remember seeing a few actor/celebrities and you could tell the last thing they wanted was to be recognized and/or filmed.

Havent been to a Golden Corral for like 15 years. That place is looking ROUGH. Carpet falling apart, seats and tables chipped up. I guess they arent making to much money now a days.
Next time in Western NY, head to Oswego. Great mom and pop sandwiches at Oswego Sub Shop and Garafolo's. Great walking town as well. Probably just an hour east of Rochester with a nice scenic drive in between!

There used to be a Golden Corral in my hometown of Vernon, Tx. Now the closest 1 is more than 65 miles in Lawton, Ok. The food is good when it was in Vernon and in Lawton. (Hint .. hint .. travel ideas for either you and Carol or Paul) have a good weekend everyone and good to hear your feeling better Zach.

@@bobbywong9392 that's very crazy, my dad and little sister worked at Long John silver before someone burned it down early 2020 right before everyone went into lockdown for covid, they was on their day off when they got to news that the building caught fire and they wouldn't be able to work there again. It sat for a couple years abandoned, but now it's rebuilt and back up in business and my father and sister got to get their job back like nothing ever happened.

Being from London Ontario I’ve had the golden coral a few times and hands down my favourite item was the pot roast and mashed potatoes

The best time to go is on the weekend right before they start serving lunch . Eat breakfast and then lunch . Mini burgers are bomb!

I ACTUALLY LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH, the first thing you do is pay and then you can eat as much as you want.

Next time in Western NY, head to Oswego. Great mom and pop sandwiches at Oswego Sub Shop and Garafolo's. Great walking town as well. Probably just an hour east of Rochester with a nice scenic drive in between!

There used to be a Golden Corral in my hometown of Vernon, Tx. Now the closest 1 is more than 65 miles in Lawton, Ok. The food is good when it was in Vernon and in Lawton. (Hint .. hint .. travel ideas for either you and Carol or Paul) have a good weekend everyone and good to hear your feeling better Zach.
That's crazy of all places you mention Lawton Oklahoma, which is where I live, I've never seen anyone on RUclips say they've been to Lawton. That was just crazy to me lol

@@bobbywong9392 that's very crazy, my dad and little sister worked at Long John silver before someone burned it down early 2020 right before everyone went into lockdown for covid, they was on their day off when they got to news that the building caught fire and they wouldn't be able to work there again. It sat for a couple years abandoned, but now it's rebuilt and back up in business and my father and sister got to get their job back like nothing ever happened.
