Good to see you back online. I attended the 2024 San Francisco Pen Show, but it was so crowded I never ran into you. And congratulations on your new job too.
Yeah, you're back ! Congratulations for your job. And thank you for the excellent presentation of those two pens. The "bulkfiller" system seems to me more practical than vacfillers. Interesting. The only drawback is that the barrel needs to be transparent.
Beautiful pens. Now all who lust after Conid have a nice alternative that is actually available AND less overpriced. If I buy any more overpriced pens they will be Kings of Pen.
Very nice acquisition. I love the Kakari better myself. I didn’t think Kyuseidos were for me but since I saw them at CY’s table at the LPS (okay it’s only been a week) I’m obsessed. Did you try his stacked nibs ? I’d so want one if I get my very own Kakari 😊
I have had the Kakari for a good 4 months or so. My impression has been very positive as well. The filling system is quite novel and interesting and as far as I'm aware unique to Kyuseido. I love the titanium with clear acrylic look which feels like a high quality tool you might find in a laboratory or machine shop. I think many people are drawn to Kyuseido more so as a consolation prize (as you mentioned) to a conid which are very hard to get at a good price. I have tried 8 or so conids as well and they definitely feel on par quality wise. Getting a professionally ground nib by Cy out of the box is surely a bonus. I was hoping for the next installment from Kyuseido we would see more innovations or unique design decisions but I feel the Kosumi doesn't look great. The faceted design does give off too much of a kaweco sport vibe. I feel it's a downgrade from the Kakari personally even if it solves the problem of rolling off the desk.
Interesting pen! I've always wanted a Conid Minimalistica, but will probably never have one. I do like the filling mechanism in this. I own a Chinese bulkfiller which I like, but it isn't nearly such obvious quality. I'm not like you about taking pens out! My most expensive ones stay home.
I’ve tried the Chinese bulk fillers as well ( a PENBBS) but this is truly another level- as it should be. You’re probably smarter than I am- I shouldn’t be bringing these out hahaha
holy shit we’re so back
Good to see you back.
Congrats on your new job.
Thank you!!
It's about time that you did a new video 😂

Aw, sorry I missed you at the show! Maybe next time.

Thanks! I think you could get away with a semi-transparent barrel with one of these, or opaque with a longitudinal ink window.
Have the FS Titanium Black ... agree with your comments 100%. Feels great, looks great, writes great; what more could you ask for! Cheers!
Kosumi arriving today, I'm done (for now) 😉 Cheers!
Yoooo I love my Kakari. Thanks for showing the Kosumi, it looks fantastic

Agreed! I hope they eventually decide to make an oversize version to accommodate those freaks who need a Conid Kingsize 🙂↕️
KOP are totally worth it if you get a custom look or nib.
@@SolangeGarnier Unfortunately either of those two features drives the price up into the exhorbitant range. I want, but so far won't pay.
Babe wake up new olive boy dropped!!1!!1!1
I think the empty pen should make it to the next round. Thanks for bringing back inktober madness
truly my realest and most annoying fan ^^
How can you see if the stem is aligned with an opaque barrel. You have demonstrated with a visible interior.
You can do it by feel! But even when the barrel is full of ink, you can still see the lugs of the mechanism engage with the piston head.
finally
sorry it took so long king

I tried his stacked nibs, they’re incredible!! I just knew I wouldn’t be able to use it every day- unless I need a highlighter!!
Yeahhhhhhh.
The Kosumi is a balant copy of Kaweco Sport.
😂😂 good one
