Can I just say you have beautiful handwriting? And a lovely voice. Also like the fact that you are very specific about what you like and are not hoarding.
Like you I also have too many pens, 30 that I use regularly and love to bits and maybe another 20 that dont like much and are wrong purchases. I stopped buying any pens for the past 3 years until I tried to reach you to no avail a Leonardo Momento, I have since bought 3 Leonardos, just could not not resist.
Presently I have only two Pelikan pens, a M800 and aM805 (Blue Dunes). They are number 1 and 2 in my collection. Both are Fine nibs. I have found that both are decently wet writers and slightly broader than what I would consider a Western fine to be. JMHO. My next will be the Stresemann in a EF to get a little finer letter formation. I could opt for just a nib and save the cost of an entirely new pen but then I wouldn’t have those beautiful grey stripes!
@@inkfade4281 look at your Stresemann up to the sun on a bright day, I did it today and discovered that the gray stripes actually have shimmer in them! And I thought the pen was JUST black and a dull gray.
dont know if you guys cares but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last months :)
It was difficult! But I was brutally honest with myself when culling pens that I thought were my "favorite." I list then on the Pen_Swap subreddit. I've had great luck there in the past, and most things go very quickly.
I sometimes wish I could cut down to only a few pens, but it isn't going to happen. I sold a hundred and fifty-three pens early last year. I intended to cut down to a dozen or so. Now I have sixty-five pens again. Anyway, I buy Visconti, Montegrappa, Conway Stewart, and Namiki pens most often. I enjoy pens made from exotic materials, or that have artwork that can take decades to master, etc. But I have a few steel nib pens that I really like, as well.
That is a lot of pens! I cannot imagine having that many! What was your criteria for cutting back? I do love the looks of a lot of urushi pens, but cannot yet justify the price point. I was particularly interested in a Nakaya with the Awai-murasaki finish, but it would have been close to $1000 in the end, and I couldn't do it. Maybe one day!
The first pen you showed is not a Sheaffer Snorkel Valliant. Rather, it is a Sentinel. The only difference between the Valliant and the Sentinel is the cap; the Valliant has a plastic cap while the Sentinel has a metal cap. The moment you replaced the cap, you turned the Valliant into a Sentinel.
Glad you are showing your pens. And just a suggestion that you might want to think about. Most of your audience are NOT “guys”. You can easily say “ hey everyone..” please don’t disappear women, which you are .. thanks very much.
What a beautiful collection!

Thank you so much!! I try to keep it small and give each one the love it deserves!

You have curated an excellent collection. I admire your directed approach to enjoying and changing it.
Thank you so much!

I liked the M205 the most.
