Many of us are fans of all three. I admit Lovebites are irreplaceable in my love for them, but Band-Maid runs a close second. And Matt might be interested to know that Akane and Haruna are friends.
@@ChrisPage68 Haruna Ono (SCANDAL) and A-chan are very good friends and shopping buddies. Likewise, MISA is close friends with Ainyan, bassist for Silent Siren.
Hey Band Maid fans - I think we might have a keeper here! Thanks Matt for the reaction - your comments even before the reaction were almost predictions, from comments on their 'aesthetic' to what you were expecting. I follow quite a few Japanese bands, and Band Maid are one of those that I cannot resist coming back to, even daily since their latest album. Yes, they do love their hook work, and their groove, and their oh-so-many short solos that leave you wanting more. And you, my friend, are going to especially love the work put in between Akane on drums and their genius bassist Misa. Saiki is the main vocalist, Miku the main lyricist on backing vocals and rhythm guitar, and then the prodigious riff machine, composer, and shyest rock-start ever Kanami on lead guitar.
Happy to join the community! All the comments I've read so far have been super positive, I'm glad everyone is enjoying the reaction as much as I enjoyed watching these talented ladies shred. 😁
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND MAID and the latest news. (^^♪ ★ They have over 100 fascinating songs. ■ Thank you for Reaction BAND MAID. BAND MAID is a 5-member girls rock band. They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing cool songs with a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 19-22 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. Now they are writing, composing and arranging all the songs. 35 songs have been released on their official RUclips, all of which are killer songs. ★ The new song "Different" released in December last year has become the theme song for the anime "Log Horizon 3rd Season". ★ They released a new album 14 songs "Unseen World" in January 20 . ★ They released their latest music video "about Us" on February 19th. ★ On May 26th, they will release a DVD / Blu-ray of remastered online live 28 songs on February 11th + 5 other live songs. The biggest problem with Band-Maid is that when someone wants a recommendation it is virtually impossible. I can honestly say 20 songs that would blow your mind. They are way to productive and consistent for it so be fair to other bands.
In Japan, both adults and children sing casually at karaoke. That is how much people love music on a daily basis. That's why melodies and lyrics are made with great care. From Japan.
Band-Maid can blow you out of your seat; They can make your head bop to the insane groove; They can make you completely disoriented with their guitar/bass riffs and they can get you all choked up with their heartfelt slower songs. These ridiculously talented ladies can do it all. And they will! :)
Welcome aboard Rockstar, that was a fun reaction to the best rock band on the planet! choose anything from their 100+ song catalogue and you wont be disappointed. 7 albums in 7 years and no filler material! I always love the reactions from actual musicians the best, so i'm looking forward to your Band-Maid journey! Po! PS just I checked out Master Sword and subbed. very cool band!
MISA MISA MISA! this is their dare I say Basic song that they have fun with, they have played this song more than any of their others Live. Yes they have toured the US Sakura-con Seattle 2016, LA and San Francisco 2018 and New York, Dallas, and LA 2019 ( I was at the 2 shows in LA 2019)
You will see a lot of weird phrases used in the videos for Japanese rock bands but no one ever gives you any context, so here goes. The band founder, rhythm guitarist and lyricist’s name is Miku Kobato. Kobato can be read as small pigeon in Japanese and she tells people that she is a pigeon, so you will see a lot of pigeon references in Band Maid videos. Po is short for kurrupo, which is the sound pigeons make in Japan. Miku quite often calls herself Kurrupo and ends most of her sentences with Po. Nice to see you do Lovebites and now Band Maid. You can’t go wrong with any official Band Maid videos and they are good about not blocking reactions. I think Manners is a great MV, it definitely has a groove. You should also check out Nemophila (perhaps Dissension) to cover what many consider to be the best three female rock bands in Japan right now. Though I would say the three may be the best rock bands in Japan period.
Ooh, very fascinating and a little weird, but Miku seems like she has a great sense of humor haha. I'll have to look into Nemophila, thank you for the suggestion Michael!
@@MattFarkas MANNERS is a masterpiece! ruclips.net/video/-FWuMx_pkH4/видео.html There are at least 4 distinctive riffs. Each one could have created a different song, but Kanami decided to include them in Manners. She is the genius who writes the music.
@@hammerhiem75 I would like to see some reactors even go back to the start of the whole thing with bands like Show-Ya or even Princess Princess. Very rarely happens though.
They have come to the US before and they're one of the best live rock and roll bands around today. I would suggest reacting to "Domination" Official Live Video, and then "Onset" Official Live Video ( instrumental). You want to react to the Official Lives from their RUclips page because it's professionally done, and the audio engineering is exceptional.
Band-Maid fans watch the new reactor react every day. I'm sure there are a lot of comments and recommendations, but it's okay to start with any song. Everything will bring surprises. Greetings from Japan
Great job. Thank you. This is the best hard rock band (first thing, they are not metal) in the world today, not kidding you. If you go down the rabbit hole of the music of the band you could check it out for yourself. All about this band spins about songwriting, musicianship and stage presence. Formed in 2013 they have dropped +100 songs. Their last album is Unseen World (january 2021). The MV Warning belongs to that album. I think you would enjoy video and music. PD: thnks to BM and Lovebites fans. I think there are a common base of us loving japanese rock music.
When Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin attended a Band-Maid performance in Tokyo, it was Akane, the drummer, that he requested a photo op with: pbs.twimg.com/media/CxPtHwEXcAAPUJk.jpg
Hey man, enjoyed your reaction today. They are known for their hookier chorus's and great live performances. They have made it to both the US and Europe (and are planning to do so again). I would suggest a few songs to follow this one up Domination (Live), Play (Live), Onset (live) and, if you want to try an MV: Rinne, Manners, Warning. If you want to check out a ballad, they have wonderland (live), Daydreaming (MV), and from an online concert, About us (thank you and encouragement song to fans).
Nice react, If your gonna check out an MV then "Warning" is one of 5 new MV's from their new album "Unseen World" that dropped this year and it's insane. Having seen the making of this MV, no CGI or green screens were used it's all real-time. P.s. For another live would suggest "Domination" as it showcases each member
Glad that you're enjoying Band-Maid with the rest of us. I'm with you with "there's nothing wrong with having a theme." It's a great thing to have a visual identity to help distinguish your band and brand.

Love a band that experiments! Thanks for all the information. I'll try and remember their names for the next reaction, although I'm notoriously bad with names lol.
My favourite band, thanks for reacting to them. My favourite song is 'Blooming' Would love to see you react to it. It has a great riff and Kanami (GU) does some insane tapping.
This is just the very tip of the iceberg as the talent and versatility of this band is ridiculous! Best in the world today.🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂 Suggestions: Manners- more classic rock sound Rinne- harder rock Daydreaming- heartfelt ballad Different- pop punk speed metal? Anime theme song Onset-instrumental Then of course there is Band Maiko for the cultural experience. 🙂
It´s just damn good hardrock, but also with a LOT of different genres in it, so they make kinda their own genre... You will hear it some songs into Band-Maid, i promise you that. Also worth mentioning is that they write the songs on their own, mainly Kanami the lead guitar, she is an absolute genius. Nice you enjoyed it and you are in for a treat right there! I always recommend Onset (live), because this kind of song is really rare these days (instrumental) and they are so creative with it! Greetings from Germany
Greetings, Michael! Germany is my favorite country. ❤ I'm not going to criticize bands where other people write the music (the final product can still definitely be amazing), but it is great knowing that not only are these women talented at playing their instruments, but also at writing really awesome songs. I'm looking forward to hearing more!
Thank you for really fun reaction to my favorite band. Looking forward to seeing what you choose to do next. They are fantastically talented and someday I hope to see them live (I'm in Minnesota, I'm not holding my breath). They have said that Freedom is their favorite song to perform. You can see them trying to make Akane lose it by making faces at her, but usually she is the one who breaks them. A few suggestions: Warning! - From their most recent album, a very driving song. Rinne - A drift to the metal side of things Different - Being use for the intro music of the Anime Log Horizon, Season 3. A little history (I didn't see this covered in the other comments, sorry if I missed it). Miku (rhythm guitar and backing vocals) had worked in a maid cafe and wanted to contrast that culture against hard rock (what they call "The Gap"). Nothing wrong with having a "theme"! She recruited Kanami (lead guitar) from the internet who recruited her Akane (drums) who she had played with previously. Akane then recruited Misa (bass) that she knew from music school. Miku decided her voice wasn't right for the lead and they selected Saiki at auditions. They compose and write their own songs and most of them play multiple instruments, even if they don't play them in the band.
Super cool!! What fantastic, multi-talented ladies. That's some seriously impressive songwriting, too. Like I said in the video, they're able to come up with some seriously great hooks.
Welcome aboard, Matt. You are embarking on (along with many others - 100 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (over a 110 songs with their latest album, “Unseen World”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their later songs from albums Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, and Just Bring It drive even more - Manners, Different, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with over 35 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ruclips.net/video/__1th7ctgMo/видео.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: ruclips.net/video/4uIYBkAybCI/видео.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: ruclips.net/video/usWZvlGGDSs/видео.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 29 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 29 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 30 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 28 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. Great info, Tom! That's quite a lineup of skilled musicians. Sounds like I certainly have an adventure ahead of me when it comes to reacting to this band. I'm very excited. 🙂
For MV I would suggest something off their new album unseen world. Either “Afterlife” or “Warning”. While both are amazing I personally love warning a little more. I hope the thumbnail for that mv would be enough to convince you :)
Creativity and the love for music are just some of the qualities that each of these ladies possesses without exception. The talent of each one of them seems almost endless. Not only do they know how to play their instruments or use their voice, but they know all too well how to make music varied and interesting. Believe me, with just one song you haven't even scratched the surface of what these ladies are capable of. :) For many of their fans (including me), but also for some other RUclipsrs with their reaction videos, Band-Maid is one of the best things the music industry has seen in many, many years! 【 'Our rock never dies, ever. Forever!' - Band-Maid 】
NOTE FOR GUITAR FANS: Miku's signature Zemaitis Flappy Pigeon guitar will set you back between $5,100-$5,400 in Japan; plus shipping if you want it in the US.
Hooollly shit, I just looked up images of it. It's gorgeous!! I can see why it costs so much. Way way out of my current price range, but it would be amazing for my collection!
@@ShikataGaNai100 Yeah, I'm not sure if it would be a good fit for me to play as I'm on the taller side, but it would look beautiful displayed on the wall!
Welcome to the best rock band. A lot of fans suggest their new songs which are great, but I think their classic song Dice isn't getting enough attention it deserves. You should check it. It song that made most of the fans today fall in love with them in the first place.
Great reaction! This is the next recommendation. 【Official MV】 BAND-MAID / Warning! BAND-MAID / Blooming BAND-MAID / 輪廻 ( RINNE ) BAND-MAID / DICE 【Official LIVE MV】 BAND-MAID / onset (Apr. 13th, 2018) BAND-MAID / DOMINATION (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / about Us
The way they build a song is so creative...head and shoulders above almost anything I hear. They are definitely the hookiest band around. And the hookiest of hooks is on "Don't Let Me Down"
For MVs, “Warning!” from their recently released album would be my best recommendation. If you’re up for another all female metal band, check out “Nemophila- Dissension”. This is a newly formed supergroup of veterans. They’re more into heavier Metal subgenres while Band-Maid’s core sound is Hard Rock with elements of metal, pop, funk, jazz and blues.
I don't think you'll go wrong with any song (as long as you have in mind they're much more rock than metal), but I'd suggest Don't you tell ME or Take Me Higher or Real Existence (any of them live, if the videos are available)
Great reaction! I remember you from your reaction to the band Brutus :) BAND-MAID is my new favorite band since I discovered them last summer. You can't go wrong with them, just pick any song. Your journey into japanese rock/metal scene has just started. There are a lot of other bands you should check out like DOLL$BOXX, NEMOPHILA, Maximum the hormone, Unlucky Morpheus, Sokoninaru, ASTERISM, HANABIE and the list goes on. Thank you for sharing BAND-MAID and japanese music to the world 🙏🏻🤘🏻🎌
@@MattFarkas seconding that suggestion for Asterism. It is an all instrumental band made up of high schoolers. The young lady, Hal-Ca, on guitar is already a force to be reckoned with and in this video she hadn’t even entered high school. The bass player plays between 4 and 7 string basses and uses every inch of them. Seriously underrated. Yes, it is fan shot, but the quality is very good and it is front row. ruclips.net/video/buQPvINJcA0/видео.html
All of their songs are great. If you want some suggestions that are not the same songs that are getting reacted to quite as often, go with Secret My Lips - followed by Secret Maiko Lips (you'll see), Bubble, Alone and Yolo. Many of these are a couple of years old but are still great. For more currently popular ones, I can't argue with Snowdog's suggestions and honestly you can't go wrong here.
Love Band-Maid! They are best live! Some other songs to react to.. Play , Moritorium, Domination. Another Japanese female metal band to add to the growing list is Nemophila! Their originals like Raite, Oiran, or Sorai or their newest Dissension. They do covers and have so much fun doing them as well. thanks for reacting to this video and enjoy the Japanese Rock/Metal ride!! It is the best in the world right now!
Band Maid touring the US in October 2022! They will also be at Aftershock in Sacramento early October (along with Nemophila and a ton of other cool bands)
Lovebites and Band-Maid are the best two female rock/metalbands on earth. Lovebites is pure powermetal and Band-Maid have there own style wich is more hard rock with some punk influences.
Band-Maid is extremely fun to watch and it's ONE OF MANY REASONS that makes them so special. You should also check out their studio recording stuff. Pick any song from their official channel, these angels will never let you down- PO!
The music video for their song Warning is really fun. They just put out the live version of it today and it's phenomenal, but the music video involves fire and the band playing on top of speeding cars. They do indeed go all out.
@@MattFarkas Also, someone needs to react to Band-Maiko - Secret Lips. It was the April Fools music video they did a couple of years back. It involves a shamisen. It's very good. It's worth a watch at least, shamisens are awesome, but I'm biased--along with the banjo, they're my favorite instruments, but percussion is what I notice first because my brother is/was a drummer. Also, there aren't many banjos in punk and hard rock music, which is where I mainly live.
@@MattFarkas - Oh, and it's all real too, not CG. Being physically on the moving cars, explosion and fire behind them afterward when they're on the ground, all of it. They said the fire was really hot but welcome because it was a chilly day.
Great reaction. BandMaid is more hardrock then metal. The 3 bands you mentioned. BandMaid, LoveBites and Baby-Metal are on top of my favorite bands. They are all great and have no bad songs. Thank you for this reaction.
Kanami Observation: Mincho is the definition of precision and finesse. I say that after looking at her PRS guitars, which do not have pick guards...and there isn't a single pick scratch mark on any of them! I find that truly astounding.
Fun reaction, Band Maid is the #1 band I have yet to see live and am waiting for their return to the US. As for the bands you listed Band Maid, Babymetal and Lovebites I love all those Bands. You say you loved women shredders, if so you need to see the most prolific and influential of the female Japanese shredders, Saki. Best bet to see her shredding is the mv for Marionette from her band Mary’s Blood.
In addition to being a unicorn here!! 🦄 Akane is a classically trained pianist. 🎹 In addition to playing the trombone lol. What the hell do they have in the sushi in Japan is what I want to know. Akane reminds me a lot of Yoshiki of X Japan. Yoshiki is also a classically-trained concert pianist which played Carnegie Hall last year I believe. He also composed the theme song for the Golden Globes back in 2013 as well. Yes, I am talking about a drummer in a rock band lol. Anyways in addition to playing in an acoustic band outside of Band-Maid. Akane is also a DJ 🎚💿 🎧 at various nightclubs. Under the stage name DJ Achi she went by in high school. Jesus, as when does this girl find enough time to sleep lol. I mean this is just Akane here & already is reading like a who's who. This band needs more exposure as they totally go above and beyond. "Freedom" is probably my favorite track!!
Jimmy Page saw them in Tokyo in 2016 and was so blown away by Akane's drumming that he had to meet her after the show. You can Google it. There is a photo of him with her
This band is founded on five steel pillars and none of them is weak. They put most other bands in this genre at the moment to shame. P.S. welcome to the pigeon nest 😜
Pigeon nest 😂 I understand that reference now that I've read Michael Edward's comment below! I love that all these Japanese metal band fanbases have their own unique names for their groups. Really gives a sense of community
Only because you started with Freedom, this is about as much pop influence as you get with Band-Maid. Most of their songs are harder rock with a couple ballads. They play with genres very well.
Great reaction.....I believe you may get HOOKED. Jimmy Page caught their show and requested a meet and greet with Akane. She thought she was being pranked. Jimmy praised her playing and got a picture with her.
Onset live always live anybody can sound goodness Studio these girls are phenomenal live they are in their element you need to get the bass player slap God you're going to love it
In 2016, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin caught a performance of Band-Maid in Tokyo and asked for a photo-op with their drummer, Akane Hirose. Reportedly he told her that she was like a reincarnation of John Bonham. For those who don't know, BAND-MAID played in the Classic Rock Awards 2016 and received the Japan Next Generation prize. After the show Jimmy Page, asked Akane for a photo.
Once Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin went to see them live and after the concert he went to backstage to meet Akane the drummer. He loved her and the band. He said that Akane did remind alot of John Bonhams style, the past drummer of Led Zeppelin and called her "Recarnation Of Bonham".
I think Baby-metal is a very well-produced show rather than a band. Love bites is also a cool metal band, but I feel that there are many similar songs. Most of Band-Maid's songs are completely different. However, every song has the tightness and fun of playing, so you won't get tired of listening to it. The same is true for past songs.
It is so hard to recommend a song because if you want an instrumental it's "Onset", heavy it's "Rinne", a bit jazzy "Manners", Band-Maid style rock "Domination" and "Dice" the list goes on and on.
I'm not seeing this mentioned in the comments so far, but generally speaking, the best selections from Band-Maid are from their live shows. They are so good live and add extra bits and solos over what they have in their MVs. They've put out an album since the beginning of the plague, so their newer songs are MV only (and are of course phenomenal). But prior to them, the primary exception to Live > MV is "Rinne." Go MV on that one. The live version is cut down a little to fit into a tv slot that it was filmed for. Rinne is an in-your-face super heavy song that I think you will enjoy. :)
Welcome to the Pigeon hole that is Band-Maid! These ladies rock and have fun doing their music! Live, Band-Maid really excels, but the mv's are fantastic also 👌! Hope to see more reactions from you!
There are 75 songs of band maid in favourite lists. All of them are good, some are just great. Puzzle and bubble perhaps are the best. But everyone has his own best band maid songs. Rinne, onset, don’t let me down, secret of my lips, moratorium. Bunch of new songs from unseen world. Check out ballad daydreaming.
I normally skip the talking to watch the reaction but your monologue was actually pretty cool and interesting. keep it up. .. btw misa the bassist is the best!!! her basslines are unique in every single song. check out domination live!
Domination and Play from this same concert, Feb 14th 2020, are great next stops! Manners, Afterlife, and Warning are off Band-Maid's latest album and are fantastic! Thrill was the first video, and basically saved the band, Alone was the first song written by Band-Maid that the label allowed on a album and from that point they have written and composed almost everything they have put out since. Choose Me, Dice, Glory, Renni are good samplings of songs from Band-Maid! Without Holding Back and Onset are instrumental songs and are amazing! No bad songs from these amazing ladies!
A big thanks to the Lovebites and Babymetal fans who mentioned Band-Maid in their comments.
Their fanbases are so enthusiastic and I love it!
Many of us are fans of all three. I admit Lovebites are irreplaceable in my love for them, but Band-Maid runs a close second. And Matt might be interested to know that Akane and Haruna are friends.

One thing fans love about this band beyond their musicianship and ability is their knack (at will) to make you feel good
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND MAID and the latest news. (^^♪ ★ They have over 100 fascinating songs. ■
Thank you for Reaction BAND MAID.

*prepares his list* lol
I dunno - Lovebites are very consistent too. But such arguments do neither band much justice.
Rhine, cant go wrong❤💕💖⚘⚘⚘💣💥🇭🇲
In Japan, both adults and children sing casually at karaoke.
That is how much people love music on a daily basis.
That's why melodies and lyrics are made with great care.
From Japan.
Band-Maid can blow you out of your seat; They can make your head bop to the insane groove; They can make you completely disoriented with their guitar/bass riffs and they can get you all choked up with their heartfelt slower songs. These ridiculously talented ladies can do it all. And they will! :)
every song is your be favorite no day i cant hear any song of them it gives positive vibes....hope to react you more lots of song to be discover
I'm just going to say you won't regret going down the band maid road. They are all super talented musicians. And the vocalist is also versatile.
Welcome aboard Rockstar, that was a fun reaction to the best rock band on the planet! choose anything from their 100+ song catalogue and you wont be disappointed. 7 albums in 7 years and no filler material!
Trident are right up there too, Ambivalent is really really good.
And of course the starting point for it all Aldious.

You are on your way down the pigeon hole too, like so many of us have gone.
If it's a official music video next i recommend Warning by BAND MAID
You should follow up with 'Domination' LIVE from the same show, that or 'Real Existence' LIVE.
YES!
They are the best rock band today.
Thanks for the tip and suggestions, Randall!
Great reaction. Love to see more Band Maid.
Thanks Martin! There will definitely be more 😁

"Freedom" is the song Ray-Ban sunglasses were made for, to stop you going "Smile Blind" :)

This is just the very tip of the iceberg as the talent and versatility of this band is ridiculous! Best in the world today.🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂
Suggestions:
Manners- more classic rock sound
Rinne- harder rock
Daydreaming- heartfelt ballad
Different- pop punk speed metal? Anime theme song
Onset-instrumental
Then of course there is Band Maiko for the cultural experience. 🙂
Best at what they do.
A few suggestions:
Warning! - From their most recent album, a very driving song.
Rinne - A drift to the metal side of things
Different - Being use for the intro music of the Anime Log Horizon, Season 3.
And many are represented with over 35 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 27 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions.
A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!

All of their songs are great. If you want some suggestions that are not the same songs that are getting reacted to quite as often, go with Secret My Lips - followed by Secret Maiko Lips (you'll see), Bubble, Alone and Yolo.
Oh, I definitely plan on listening to some studio stuff!
The music video for their song Warning is really fun. They just put out the live version of it today and it's phenomenal, but the music video involves fire and the band playing on top of speeding cars. They do indeed go all out.
Oh wow! Okay, that's definitely high on my list of things to see now, lol.
Thank you, John!!

They're just warming up...check 'Domination' near the end of the same concert. And the mighty...mighty 'Onset'
Domination will blow your mind. So good!
I put Band-Maid at the top of the three. Fun Factor 10 !!!
Just absolutely amazing!
Dice and Rinne are great videos. Also Warning is a killer music video- pure rock
Jimmy Page saw them in Tokyo in 2016 and was so blown away by Akane's drumming that he had to meet her after the show. You can Google it. There is a photo of him with her
I can see why! She's a tornado of awesome
@@MattFarkas 5:05 and now you may know why the drumers nickname is gorilla. 🤭
Please react to their song warning! And black hole!
Domination (live), Play (live), Real Existence (live), Onset (live), Manners (MV), Different (MV), Blooming (MV), Warning )MV).... and on and on...
Tip of the iceberg mate !!!!
They have done 4 shows in the US that I know of. NY, Dallas, LA and Seattle.
I'm not ready to pick favorites yet, but like I said in the video, I was *very* impressed with Band-Maid. Definitely not what I was expecting!
Babymetal gets irritating after a while. Lovebites and Band Maid shouldn't be compared to each other since they play totally different genres.
BAND-MAID - Onset
Thanks for introduced a very good rock band to me , thanks again.
You have to check out the band Nemophila next. Dissension.
you should listen to their song Onset, which is a song they play to prove they can actually play, and are not just a gimmick with a tapedeck
It is so hard to recommend a song because if you want an instrumental it's "Onset", heavy it's "Rinne", a bit jazzy "Manners", Band-Maid style rock "Domination" and "Dice" the list goes on and on.
Sounds like I'll enjoy it no matter which song I choose next. 😁 Thanks for the comment!
@@MattFarkas - Yeah, that's about right.
OMG, you asked for Band Maid recommendations? Prepare for the avalanche!!
The fans haven't disappointed. 😅
2 Sold out shows in New York, as part of a world tour. Studio clip Riine ( Reincarnation is a rocker) with an arty energetic approach.
This Band is very versatile, they play songs all over the Rock spectrum and they've been upping their game consistently over the years.
I normally skip the talking to watch the reaction but your monologue was actually pretty cool and interesting. keep it up. .. btw misa the bassist is the best!!! her basslines are unique in every single song. check out domination live!
Thank you, Riley!! I try 😁 I will come back around to Band-Maid again soon!
They're coming to the US this year. Hopefully they come close to my area!
Exciting!
For a MV: "Warning"
Check out Band Maid's music videos "Blooming" or "Warning!" You won't be disappointed.
