I'm working on that time machine, guys. I will get us all back home.
Take me pls
I would like to book a ticket for 1984
Me too please, I met someone very special back then 🙏
@Jeremy Reese Yep, you know more and more people are waking up. 9/11 and inside job with israel pulling the strings.
Yes. Please. Hurry. 1997 was the best year. I need to go back and just tell my young self to savor it even more and to not screw up things after 2000 lol
Man this takes me back... Such a powerful song. I miss the 90's so damn much.
Me too, the best decade...
It's difficult to realize that this song is almost 25 years old. I vividly remember this iconic period of time in 1997, being 24-25 years old, feeling like it would last forever. This song was etched in my mind as it was played often along with the other popular one she did. It almost feels like a different world now; one I wouldn't mind going back to.
i felt this deep. i was 18. it was heven
@@izabellizima I was putting a 400 in my camaro and a box in the back and things were just a lot brighter, like there were rewards for your efforts. I feel like a patient in todays world.
I feel you! 1997 was wild! I was same age as you back then... 24-25 Going to clubs, raves, always with a group of friends, always planning the next party... How did time fly so fast? My 49 birthday was yesterday...
@@kasiamisiek9562 Oh wow! Well happy birthday. I'm barely two months older than you!
@@BDCsSanctuary Thanks! I'd rather not get another year closer to 50 though lol Different world we're living in huh? We were lucky to be in our prime in the 90s, weren't we?
I was today years old when I discovered that this was Robyn. Heard it everywhere back in the late 90s, but never knew it was her.
This song never gets old. The female artists of the 90s were iconic.
True
Iconic
I still listen to them thanks ☺️ for RUclips 😘😍🔥🌈⭐️💯📺👍🏿.
@@nature.rbeauty2255 Thank God for RUclips
When they were classy
I'm 54. I was 30 in 1997. This song brings back happy memories! I was listening to this song driving home from work.
How Nice Cheers!...
You lucky you were an adult and experienced the late 90s.
So nostalgic
1967!!
1962 here- Joni Mitchell and Crosby Stills and Nash
This was my favorite song when I graduated from HS in 1997. If you're still listening to this, you're a legend.
Robyn was ahead of her time. ❤
Way!
Yes she was.
yes, she's so cool and still is
Wow! Robyn is showing us love right now and we know what it is all about. This song brings me tears of joy when the love can heal a broken heart.
most underrated song of the 90s... it's catchy, smooth, harmonic, great beat... never gets the credit it deserves
That is a fact.....
I have been working on this song for acoustic guitar, and I came online to see if anyone else felt the same way you and I do! Underrated for sure, especially that amazing bridge!
Great, timeless production
So true mate, we the 90's generation need to stick together
@@labiloboss82 could it be that their music industry works in favour of the artist, it appears that Robyn is flexible and more creative now, her music his a influence on younger female singers, but very rare I have heard Robyn, promote her songs in the UK 🙏
God bless you Robyn. Thank you for singing this song and make this video.
I'm 44 years old now but still go back and listen to this song.. always makes me feel upbeat and the possibility that I'll find love again

I loved this back in 97' and still love this in 21'.

I just heard it on Good Morning America!
My dad bought me this album for Christmas in 5th grade and said “this girl is incredible she's going to be around for a long time” and he was right. I still have the album over 20yrs later.
Sweet times when we gave music as gifts 🥰
I still have mine as well!! It's in my CD binder. I've been showing my kid my jams from my youth and she LOVES this album.
I was in 5th grade when this song came out too!
I was 9 when it came out
I was in 7th grade when this came out
When Robyn came out, I was working in Top-40 radio and the listeners lit up the request line for this song and "Do You Know". Mid-90's to early 2000's was the last of radio's 'glory days' . Glad I got to play this song and be a part of that fun time.
97 Chicago R and B station and tons requested for this song 🎵 🙌
Aww I love that and slightly jealous… I miss those days! 🩵🩵🩵
This song is timeless, it also represents the late 90s very well.
This and "Right Here" by SWV to me were the high point.
How can it be timeless then.
I'm 38, god, I was 16 yesterday. Grandma told me life was short. Now I understand.
38 myself, and totally understand the feeling. If you still feel young then everything good.
Yep ! 🙄
If you were 16 in 1997, I was 6. Can't believe I'm 29
Same!
Weird isn't it, that our perception of "TIME",
Is solely based on the spinning of the planet we live on.
It moves through space at a pace determined by physics/gravity, and we see it as, "TIME" passing.?🤔✌🏻⏳
🌎☀️✨💥🔥👀🕓
The Swedes are masters of timeless pop music.
Master debaters.
Max martin.
Definitely! Remember Ace of Base too!!
I was kinda wondering this just right before the video started, like is this something these guys have some kind of knack for
I effin agree
This song IS love. 25 years ago I was in a 15 year marriage (age 21 when married). I was unhappy and sad. Drove the car around washington dc listening to this cd. It was this song that let me know I needed out...and I did... Just celebrated my 24th anniversary with the love of my life and still so happy and very much in love! Show me love, that IS what its all about. Thank you for the help I needed when I needed it most.
1997!? Dear Lord I'm old as hell. I remember when this was on the radio. I love her ❤️
And when it popped up in TV shows, like _Sabrina: The Teenage Witch_
I'm 41, and she was one my favorites when I was teenager in the 90s. Wow I feel OLD now.
We may be old but thank God we were teens in the absolute best time to be a teen. Life was simple, Girls were so much sexier and it was generally a positive time other then the usual shit countries in the middle east.
Ok boomer! 🤣 Jk I'm 38. I was more a metal head but coming from a family of musicly inclined people I could appreciate the catchyness of this song
And she now has Rolling Stone's best pop song of the 2010s
I am 41 as well and I loved this song, used to jam it! We are still young:)
I was 9
Oh my heart. Hearing this melody again. So much nostalgia. That bridge gave me chills. Thank you for delivering us a classic, Robyn.
Same. I cried just now lol
Her song and free-dance moves is iconic. So laid back and love the fresh style. I am so estatic to hear this song again today. What a blast from the past. Robyn is one of original princess in the 90s... I remember making a mix tape for recording much of songs through the radio. Alongside Vengaboys, Meja, The Cardigan, MLTR and M2M. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how regal this mtv look like... So contemporary even after decades!✨
I always felt like Robyn sang with so much soul.
It's like early Pink. She sang with soul too, only to change her style drastically after the first album.
She was the white pop version of Monifah with this first album. They even have a similar tone.
Still does
Check out indestructible!
But her swag tho and she started out young just like my girl Monica
1997, everything was beautiful, everything was perfect. I miss that time :(
SAME 🍼🐷🇯🇵
This song is so upbeat and positive. It still makes me feel optimistic about love!❤
Robyn is such an underrated artist I love her music and lyrics.
She is pretty and has style too
Robyn is not underrated.
Yes she is very underrated. The girl was very talented and right up there the best of them. Love this song. ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
I don't know why there was always so much happiness in 90's songs. I really miss that era.
+ahmedao Because we had nothing to worry about. The economy was good, we weren't at war with anyone, and when Kurt Cobain died, everyone was sick of gloomy music an just wanted to be happy again.
robogabriel has a point. people were always lookin up. being positive. nowadays music is mind controlled bullshit! littered with satanic subliminal messages
To Z so so true
For a different perspective, almost all I heard in the 90's was the opposite of "happy"...upbeat pop like this was at a minimum until the late 90's with the boy bands. There was a *huge* influx of negative music that came about in the early 90's, esp when compared to all the positive music of the 80's. Mainly in the grunge and rap genres. And it was marketed and sold like crazy. Consciousness plunged in the 90's folks; go back and listen to something like James Brown in the late 60's, the musicianship was off-the-charts, and it was fun pop-ish dance music. It became cheaper and easier to hire programmers, and the music has suffered ever since, with just a few exceptions. This song is fun, has great production, but is also very minimal (very Max Martin). Just saying the 90's really offered piddle in comparison to the energy of the 60's through 80's. IMO, the toilet was flushed in exactly 1990.
The Clinton years 1992- 2000 were the most peaceful viz what came before and after.
Who’s listening to this masterpiece in 2020? 🔥🔥🔥Show me love -from Malaysia 🤗

Robyn's 90s bob-cut is still in fashion... a true classic never goes out of style.
You can see thr influence of the CK1 ads on this vid.

Yeah, still in fashion with radical left wing Karens who yell at cars that look too fast.
I don't know anyone with this hairdo but I'll agree Robyn rocks it
No its not. This is the Karen cut lol
For some reason when she specifically sings that "your the one that I ever needed" part, all the new-to-the-world excitement of my 90s childhood comes back to me like the smell of play dough. It's something about that melody. Feels like 6th grade and having crushes for the first time.
+Morpheus X SAME OMFG...THAT PART IS MAGIC.
same. takes me back to my fisrt walkman in 5th grade in the back of the bus on the way to school :)
+Osman Muharrem
YES!!
I love that bit where she goes up a chord. That hits me in the feels.
That bar that was so off on grammar, it's nostalgic. .. She reminds me of Sia.. Sia did "Little man". So underrated, well, not anymore. ... lol like being in time warp watching that.. I wanna be a pree teen again
And I thought I was the only one. That crisp entry of the chords. The most personal is the most universal indeed.
If you’re watching this today you’re an old soul...I can relate to that. 😊

What a masterpiece 🤩 I remember when I heard it for the first time in 1997 I thought she was American. She's got a brilliant voice. For a small country, Sweden produces some amazing musicians.

Such a classic! One of the most underrated artists.
Everyone always saying underrated she was never underrated she just did not want to put all of her music out in America beside they were trying to shape her into a Christina Aguilera in which she wanted no fn part of so can't blame her.
