Hello so I personally hadn’t tested the 661. Having reviewed similar models like the Roborock E4 and 360 lineup I think these ones are good for smaller homes, with basic layouts. If you have a lot furniture or obstacles I would recommend a Lidar based version. A similar model would be the 360 S5 amzn.to/3sqDcNM
I tried this robot for around one month, the front camera is working very well, no need to prepare your home for this robot. AI still requires some work that I know will take some time as they require more data for it. I returned it because it was expensive as well as was only giving me a max 50 minutes of running time, which may reduce further by time. The second issue was some black strips on my rug in a bedroom and it doesn't want to cross them ever. Even that area was showing a part of the floor plan. In spite of these few issues, I liked it so far and will look forward to buying it in the future with a little bit of improved of AI and battery life.
Thanks for your insight, I personally found the 950 to be a better value and the navigation camera on the 960 worked well, but was limited on what it was able to recognize. Also I agree the short battery life around 50 minutes, the robot couldn’t complete my entire floor plan.
*I run the m6 daily, and my floors look awesome🌼 **allabout.wiki/ECOVACS-N79S** I wet mop 2 days and dry sweep the rest of the days. When I first got it, I used the included disposable pads. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*
Really appreciate all these comparisons. One quick question - For pure mopping performance, which is your pick between Ozmo 950, 960 and T8 AIVI ? Thanks you.
Hi robot master. Great review. For the mopping ability on hardwood floors you are just using water. I am manually cleaning my hardwood floor with the Bona hardwood floors cleaner and the manual mop. Will water with no chemicals be good enough to clean your hardwood floors?
These hybrid mopping robots like the m7 and Roborock are designed for light stains and mopping duties. They will pickup the fine dust off your hardwood floors. For tougher stains you can look at the Braava Jet m6, and for liquid spills the iLife w400 your best mopping robot. Manual mopping always do better, but if you mop once a week you will notice a difference.
It seems the 960 is based on the 930/937, which is a bit different from the 950/920 models. The 930 doesn't do multiple floors either, where as the 920/950 do. Their product line is a bit confusing.
I agree, and Yes the 960 despite using the NEW AI camera seems to use an older platform. The 950 platform seems like an upgrade in terms of processing speed and more cliff sensor, 3 vs 6
I've got the 960 and have never been able to get it to spray water on the mopping cloth. Stays dry the whole time . It is set to the max water flow. Any idea what is wrong?
There is a water filter that gets easily clogged inside the tank. Also on my 930 with the same mopping I poked holes on the rubber gasket where you fill it with water and that helped for mine.
The s9+ the self emptying bin, and better cleaning performance. I found the value to be better on the s9+. The 960 does have the electronic mopping capabilities and Aivi camera, but during my testing only avoided shoes and socks. Shoe string, power cables can still hang the robot up. The Ozmo 950 has better suction and battery life over the 960. So basically I would get the s9+.
The Ozmo 950 your best option for deep cleaning your carpet, has the highest CFM at 24 and has good mapping. The S9 not a bad choice if you want the self emptying bin.
Ok so I've been approved to return my ozmo 960 du to the mop water spray not working. I'd like to know your opinion on to re-buy the 960 again hoping to get wone with a working mop or buy the Roborock S5 Max. ??
Did you use the Ai camera. If not and you like the Ozmo series look into the Ozmo 950 has the best suction and battery life. If you want the best navigation the S5 Max a great buy and cheaper at $439 with my $70 off coupon. If interested I can get you one
@@RobotMasters yes I used the AI always and liked it but I was not the best at navigating compared to my old S5. I'm interested in knowing which one you would prefer if you were making the decision?
Michael Gray If it was my decision I would go with the S5 Max, has better navigation and the recharge and resume helps the robot cover a larger area. I find the value to be better on the S5 Max
I know I’m bouncing all over the place (just like a first generation Roomba 😀) in my quest for something that will mop well and also vacuum but I’m beginning to lean towards the Xiaomi Viomi V2 Pro. Have you looked at that one yet? I like that it does a y-shaped back and forwards mopping pattern like the Braava m6 and also the mopping pad goes all the way to the edges unlike the Roborock s5 max mopping pad. There are some quite impressive videos online of its mopping performance and the app looks pretty capable. Any thoughts on the V2 Pro Nathan?
Robot Master I’ll let you know in a few weeks. I just clicked the buy button but it might take a few weeks to reach me. It’s just so much cheaper than an i7 plus an m6 that I’m willing to take the risk. If it doesn’t work out it’s logical to have tried the cheaper option first and if the mopping is close to the m6 it’s going to be so much quicker to be able to vacuum and dust on the same cleaning run. I do wonder whether the 150ml water tank in the combo tank will be enough water for my 40 to 45 sqm of hard floor. I suppose I’ll find out soon enough and if not there is a much bigger mop-only tank, it would just be that I would have to do separate vacuum and then mopping runs - not the end of the world.
In terms of mopping alone they are about even, have the same mopping pattern, mechanics and even 4 different water levels. What sets the robots apart is the 950 has longer battery life, carpet detection to prevent mopping your carpets and greater suction where as the S5 Max has better navigation and greater customization in the mapping, can label rooms and save different power settings for each room
Great video like always, funny and full of insight. I would like to know what is the problem with Ozmo 950's navigation that every time someone asks in comments, you choose S5 Max over Ozmo 950. I would also like to ask, if the prices are the same, would you still choose S5 Max?
Here the main reason why the S5 Max is recommended in my opinion over the 950 is price. It because of the large price difference, I felt the value is with the S5 Max. Depending on the price of the S5 Max and price of the 950 it can be several $100 more. Granted the 950 has higher CFM and longer battery life. So yes the price is what makes me recommend the S5 Max. Now if both were the same price, I probably would recommend the 950 over the S5 Max because of the active carpet avoidance system, higher airflow, and longer battery life.
@@RobotMasters Thanks for your quick answer. That is very explanatory. Just two more questions; What is the navigation problem of Ozmo 950 over S5 Max? Because you mentioned several times that S5 Max navigation is better. I read many reviews about Ozmo 950 mopping issues. Mostly the complaints are regarding how dry it is and that the pressure is not enough. Thanks in advance,
krml13 Until recently I had the issues with location problems and mapping problems with the 950. This would make the robot get confused if it was physically moved. Ecovacs fixes the issue via software update recently. So the navigation is no longer a issue, about as good as the S5 Max. I find the S5 Max to navigate more elegantly in tighter areas. The mopping on both robots are designed for light mopping duties. Tougher stains, these robots won’t be able to remove.
The Ozmo 950, on a newer platform, has better battery life, Air Flow at 24 CFM and supports multi map saving. The 960 only signature feature is the front facing camera that can avoid shoes and socks
@@RobotMasters okay well ..thanks ur advice... but if you must choose 1 choise, what is your choose ? Xiaomi roborock S5max or Ozmo 950 ? Haha comparing with all feature ...

I like the ozmo 920 much better. The lower smaller size get in places better. Two brushes really help. I think the navigation is better as well. It ha does transition from room to room better. It can climb higher. The mopping is great.
