I got mine done twice in the last 10 years and where I go it takes about 4-5 hours. The results are worth it though. Any New Yorkers interested- go to hair IB in Queens. The price is around $200 and they are very good.
Yeah me too I’ve gotten mine done a few times also, where they actual change the bonds of your hair from curly to straight. The process stinks so bad, & takes forever but so worth it but I swear I can still smell that smell it has after the first wash a few days after treatment in my hair sometimes lol I paid 400 for 4-6 hrs & a 150$ tip each time
I just went in for strand test for yuko yesterday so hopefully after 50 years i will have poker straight hair like you yipppeee my question is I use box dyes at the moment my hair desperately needs grey hair roots doing do I dye it before the yuko or wait just don't want to have new gorgeous hair with grey roots ? thanks your hair looks amazing
How did yours get so sleek? I got mine done and mine is still frizzy and not exactly bone straight just more than before but not pin straight, I can see little wavy strings. I don't get it why my hair didn't came to look like the videos? I'm a bit disappointed. How should you take care of it? What am I doing wrong? :( Also my hair looks very damaged and it feels like a haystack. It doesn't feel smooth but it feels dry, idk why. I also slept with wet hair for a long time, just recently got a blowdryer but it doesn't help at all, it just makes it even more frizzy, I even tried detangle brushes antifriss brushes, dry shampoo, many hair products and they all look bad on my hair it makes it very oily and it makes it look dirty
your hair might be dry after the treatment, I would recommend doing hair masks with things like avocado, banana, yogurt, coconut oil, or olive oil. I hope this helps you!
i dont have corse hair actually my hair was very soft and straight when i was young i dont know what happened when i got older it got super frizzy and wavy...so if i do this treatment i just let it dry and it won’t frizz again???
SAMEE this happened to me to :( my hair used to be so nice as a child and then idk what happened my hair just looks damaged now if I leave it out- I don’t use heating tools
Tara Ale it’s truly a permanent process. It’s not like a keratin treatment that eventually wears off. The only thing that won’t be straight would be any new growth. That would obviously grow in whatever your natural texture is
Oh hell yea! after a few months your hair gets hella dry, but what I found that helps my hair most is the oil hair masks from LUSH! They have worked wonders for my hair!

Last time I bleached my hair was 7 months ago. I’m not planning to bleach it again. Would it be possible I can get it now or should I not do it at all until I cut out all the previously bleached hair?
So before I wash my hair I let my dry hair sit in coconut oil for a couple of hours. I have hella dandruff so I use Nizoral shampoo, for conditioner I use this Kirkland brand one (white bottle at costco) and for hair masks I use LUSH oil mask 2x a month

Wow I've never heard of that, but it's definitely possible. The chemicals are so strong since they are able to break down your bonds. I would suggest having your stylist meet with you before your appointment to determine the strength of your hair to see if this procedure is appropriate for you. So I have natural hair and the first time they did my sister and I's hair it took us about 7-8 hours because our hair type.
