When I first started coaching competitive soccer at Bay Oaks I realized that I must teach speed, agility and balance training to the players. This is a very well put together video.

Thanks for teaching the speed, agility and quickness skills in a clear, consise, confident, simple and professional way! God bless!
great video, I like the injury prevention theory at the end...Some thing that is forgotten in all league not just soccer, yet so crucial to keep kids in the games they love for the long haul!
Thank you Kevin and Peter. I am new to coaching and to soccer. I have been teaching myself as I go. Your speed and agility tips are right on point. I can't wait to try them out with our girls next season. I think is one of the components that are girls are missing.
I really love this video. It shows different areas of interest, backwards, shuffle, cardio so i think that that's a very good thing to incororate in each circuit
Great,clear n practical drills..no nonsense stuff..thank u guys :)
Those were excellent tips, I'll definately implement this in my soccer practice
thank for teaching the speed, agility and quickness skills in a clear and professional way.
Injury prevention is really the most important thing. When you're young, you don't think much about it and believe you're invincible but I have seen many a player injure themselves and never be the same again. My own brother was relatively young at age 25 and had a bad knee injury just like the one the coach explains with the bunny hops and his football (even for pleasure) days are over.
Great tips, I'm sure going to use them today in my practice.. Thanks and i hope to see more videos from you..
I didn't have cones so we used soccer balls evenly spaced out and we did first the back and forth, moving laterally then the pop. I am thankful for your discussion of the details behind each run through and for the circuit tips- was thinking that way since everything flows so much the better with stations to move through instead of lining up again. Initially though, I'll probably set up 2 separate lines to cover just the1st segment of your video since there's so many points to hit- thank you
Totally cool! Very useful tips that everyone can apply in their trainings! Keep it up!
Great tips!! I will use them for my U13 boys this fall season greatly appreciate it!!!
Thank you very much! Trying to gather some ideas as of what type of drills to work with my kids (U6 and U8) for the upcoming fall season.
Really enjoyed the video. My son is getting ready to goto regional ODP Camp as well as PDP camp for iD2 selection. He wanted agility drills and the drills you demonstrated are really going to help him.
Thanks for the great advice and instruction!
Basic and very important training, for young and less young players. thank you.

This was pretty helpful. Will try with my group of players.

Great video I will for sure use it on my next practice
While this clip is from 13 years ago, its validity in injury prevention is relevant today in the fundamentals of soccer development of our age group athletes.
beautiful drills
Excellent video thank you

It helps a lot ! It helped me when starting soccer :) . Good video .
Great video.
Loved the drill
thanks for helping with this video.
nice video! very well explained!
That was a Great video thanks
i love it. i want to see more videos like this.
Everyone with an accent is a soccer genius.
The Total Soccer Player everyone has an accent tf!!
I was just being funny, and I apologize if it came across as negative. In America a lot of coaches from the UK come with an accent and naive Americans think just because they have an accent means they are great. An accent does sound cool and more importantly the people that come all this way probably have some charisma about them anyways. There are good exercises in this video!
Mat Herold bitter much?

How important is to complete SAC without the ball? I typically involve SAC as part of my daily training and a ball is involved. I've heard many coaches state that "soccer training needs to look like soccer and that SAC without the ball is not soccer". What are your thoughts on this topic?
Soccer Coach training with a ball at your feet can never hurt. especially in agility training. your players are going to have to lern how to do all of this with a ball eventually. might as well teach them that way from the beginning
At least he calls it football not soccer
Well of course he would
Bryce Li The British originated the word "soccer" for this game. Gettin' away from his roots, I guess.

+Dorian Rodriguez msrp. beeyotch.
yes who calls it soccer its football and im Australian
Great work out
Hey There! Thank you for this useful video. By the way, I notice lots of people keep on talking about Zumlaxoc Training Program (just google it), but I'm not sure if it's good. Have you ever tried this football training known as Zumlaxoc Training Program? I've heard many amazing things about it.
BIEN GRAN ENTUCIASMO SUERTE
If you want to do repetition work on raw speed without the ball. Set up two cones 20 yards apart and a third cone 10 yards past Cone 2. Stride out at 75 percent of full speed from Cone 1 to Cone 2. Fall to your acceleration angle and push to full speed before passing Cone 3.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If you want to do repetition work at dribbling speed with the ball. Set up two cones 10 yards apart and a third cone 40 yards past Cone 2. Touch dribble from Cone 1 to Cone 2 at half speed. Then explode at top speed dribble pace from Cone 2 to Cone 3, keeping ball no more than 3-4 yards in front of you. USSF LB.
Cool
super

No words
X-Factor Soccer is where its at
You should put an traductor for this uh? in Spanish ! who can be fastest? a tall bulky guy or a small and athletic men? I need a answer
For me its American Football and Football !!!!
I'm not a fan of how he does the lateral. I would stress that each footfall should be balanced enough to change direction. Skipping to the right/left means you're predetermined to go all the way and every other step between is filling in the blanks. Those steps are just as important and shifting you weight should be feasible on any of them. Also, what is the purpose of the "pop"? It seems similar to assorted high knee drive exercises however its only one pop. I coach pretty much everything else.
Anyone know what is Episoketren System about? I hear a lot of people improve their soccer skills with it with this popular training course.
