I am so glad I caught one of the few live performances of this song. This is one of my favorite Springsteen songs in years and I think it's great in concert
Saw them in Phoenix last night! First one of the 2024 tour. Of the 4 Bruce concerts I have seen, one being him and a touring band during the Lucky Town / Human Touch tour another being The Rising tour, this is the best I've seen of him live. As far as the over 100 closer to 150 maybe more concerts I've ever seen, this has to be ....off the top of my head, in my top ten all time! Petty being one of my top 10 including Aerosmith, U2, Rush, Dylan, Elton John . Absolutely one amazing show. Unfortunately they did not play this song, which I was hoping to hear live, but then again they could play 10 shows different set lists and not play any of my "most favorite tracks" and it's still an incredibly amazing show. Seeing the Boss and the Legendary E Street Band perform live is truly as close to a spiritual experience other than sitting in the presence of the Lord is as close as I can put it into words. Thank you Bruce for being a major part of the 59 year soundtrack to my life!
