Wow! You are so gentle. I just unfollowed and blocked a few channels because these groomers took that hemastat and yanked out the ear hair and these dogs were in pain. They screamed in pain and the groomers justified it by saying “it doesn’t hurt”, they are just scared. It’s a pleasure to watch you be so gentle with this dog. I hope those groomers hurting dogs get their licenses taken away and someone reports them. There is no reason to hurt an animal who is more vulnerable than a human cuz they can’t speak. Well done. Kudos to you
Good job! :) The ears look great. My havanese used to let me pluck his ear hair, but not anymore. So now I just cut it with scissors. (he doesnt have much hair anyways). I always make sure the ears look good and has no matts.
@GroomingByRudy I can guess who that groomer is. I unsubbed after watching them twist the haemostats and pull so hard the dog screamed 😢 If my baby needed her ears plugged I'd trust you with her 💯💯💯💯
Ok. I have to admit that my anxiety was high with the process of his technique because the other groomers I’ve watched didn’t take time and took the hemo clamps, twisted and pulled sooo hard that the dogs cried. Now I see this video with a much much better understanding. Thank you☺️☺️
I love that you are so caring & patient. I've seen some yank hard on ear hair & dog has yelped. It is really hurting them. Thank you for your passion wish all groomers did this your way.
Your an angel ! You are so patient and gentle and I cringe when they yank that ear hair out and we know we wouldn’t want our own ears tanked like that!

I'm getting a baby Cocker Spaniel. My first long haired baby. I have so much to learn and im so glad I've found your channel. You're amazing at explaining and so patient with the dogs. I have 2 questions, if you have time. 1) How old should she be when i start introducing her to the groomer? 2) How can i prevent ear mats between grooming sessions?
Thank you so much for your kind comment..You should start groomings as early as 3 to 4 months, and using a Slicker brush to brush the ears, and body as well twice a week...Good luck with your new puppy..Cocker Spanial puppies are adorable..
Thank you so much for replying back to me and so quickly as well. My mind might be able to rest a litte easier now. The excitement from knowing she will be coming home on the first has my mind in overdrive lol. She is absolutely adorable, perfect in every way.
@@patiencebrooke6908 Congrats on your new family member! Just wanted to share, my most recent dog is a 7# YorkiPoo. Almost all of my previous dogs have been larger dogs (Golden Retrievers and Rough Collie). It was daunting when I got the Yorki Poo, caring for her was so different. Not problematic or hard, just different. Rudy's videos have helped me out a lot. I watched several of them while I was waiting for my little one, and even once she arrived (during those frequent naps!). It was really helpful to have a little 'heads up' on things. Touch those little paws, ears and even introduce a toothbrush from the start frequently (if you have a puppy friendly toothpaste, otherwise just water), and it will really help your grooming sessions down the road. Have fun and ENJOY!! 😘 🐶
WOW! I was just thinking “I know those vets looked at me like I was crazy when I called hemostats forceps” You just saying you call them forceps also just made me feel better.
You did such a fabulous job!!! Thank you so much for doing this step by step. The groomers I take my Zoe (7.5lb 13 year old toy poodle) to will not take the hair out of her ears because she tries to bite them. So I am working on it at home. I had an amazing groomer for years but had to search for another one because she cut her hours to nearly half. She has a grooming appointment this coming Saturday and I am praying she will be the groomer we stay with permanently. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I just was doing my Yorki Poo's ears, and thought I remembered seeing a notification for this video!! I finally viewed it! 👍 I have been so lucky not to have any matts, but I think I should probably just tidy things up a bit more frequently than I have been. I'm relieved to see I'm doing things right.....I absolutely cringe at seeing people do the crazy hemostat yanking! Thanks Rudy, I appreciate you posting this! 😊

ohhh,,,i am not a professional groomer, (never claimed to be),,i only do my 3 dogs but i do know the hair has to come out and trying to get lil pieces of hair is not going to do it nor is taken the big piece of hair and twirling it going to do it. sheesh. omg it took the person doing the ears 16 minutes to get the hair out.
@@janeanmonger7529 Correct, you are not a professional dog groomer, because if you were you would not leave a comment like this, and you would understand that its taking a long time because the dog has mats in his ears ,so I'm doing the opposite of what your saying by Not doing it so quickly, by just starting to yank with forceps, because as I mention in the video that would hurt the dog..As a professional dog groomer, I'm taking extra time, doing it slowly, for the sole purpose of not hurting the dog..That is what the video is about..
@@GroomingByRudy nobody said anything about hurting the dog,,,,but the longer that you try and get hair out and dont get any.....and the longer the dog has to wait for you to do your job,,,,the dog suffers. @@janeanmonger7529are you kidding? Pulling mats out of a dogs ear quickly and in big clumps is extremely painful and can also cause a hematoma in the dogs ear because they start shaking their head from the trauma and pain. You can hear the hair coming out the entire time in fact. I feel bad for your dogs- causing them such pain and discomfort by yanking their hair out. You can say you aren’t hurting them all you want, but even in dogs without yeast or ear infections, taking too much hair in each pluck is painful. That’s a fact.
