See you at the premiere!!! This is one of my longest videos so we'll have some proper, relaxed time in the chat :) See you later!
good! i have withdrawals, no marco goodness for two weeks
Wow... Just 'Wow'... Incredible work!
Amazing, inspiring. It's so refreshing to witness a youtuber simply stop talking throughout parts of a video where they have nothing to add but to let the brushwork speak for itself. This is a real masterclass!
This is the best painting tutorial I have ever seen. Thank you for this. Switching to a biweekly schedule was the right decision. I am very happy to be a Patreon supporter.
Thank you sooooooooo much man!!! For the kind words, for the support... for everything
Sorry guys, I lost again my connection during the last minutes of the chat! Thanks a million for your company and all your positive energy!!!
Wow, I love the little dotting trick with the oils first then blending them all together with a brush & spirit afterwards, I gotta get me some, that should be so useful for losing smooth gradients in future.
i am binge watching your videos... honestly you have some of the best painting tutorials i have seen on youtube... fantastic stuff... honestly you are amazing at explaining and conveying the ideas behind this stuff... most appreciated
Thanks for sharing so much of your thought process for each step. I've learned so much from your videos. They help me understand the overarching structure that forms those decisions, and that lets me be creative with more success. A lot of videos will show you steps like a recipe to bake a cake, but your videos are helping me develop my own style.
O. M. G. This is incredible, Marco. Masterful control of light and tonality.
Thanks a million man!!!!!!!
30 minutes of Marco? Oh boy! 😄
Stunning work, Marco!
And coincidentally the perfect complementary video to James Gurney's "Color and Light", which I'm currently reading. Thanks for this!
Marco, I get so bored with everyone else ... then I see you just having a great time painting it makes me smile. Thanks bro!
I would have snapped that antenna off like 30 times in the time it took you to paint this entire project. Nice work.
Honestly mate I hope you know how much you inspire people. Couldn't wait to watch this and just set aside half hour before work to give it a watch. Highlight of my youtube schedule when you post a new video mate.
Those 2 thumbs down must be ironic or just jealous. Love the colour discussion, I have been a fine artist for over 25 years and I don't think I could put it better. Where were you when I was at art school? Thanks Marco
I am in love with your dotting oil technique! Consider my mind blown... your value sketch is always so good already and clearly shows you understand everything about your painting process.
Thank you sooooo much!!! Yeah the idea is kind of "stop thinking" after the sketch and just let the paint flow on top of the more technical stuff laid out in the first minutes of the work; the whole process becomes super relaxing!
Simply amazing! So nice to watch everything unfold.
Well, I already thought you were the best mini painter I follow on RUclips, but it gets crazier every video! This is mind-blowing!
Cool to see your regular painting proces translated to a display piece.
Check my streams on Twitch!!! I paint only display in those 😉 and there's one this evening 😉😉😉!
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM I am aware. The time can make it difficult to catch them live, but will sub soon to be able to see the vods.
@@Wijkert 😁😊😁😘😘😘
Thanks Marco, you inspired me every time I almost give up attempt to improve my technicks
Every brushstroke is full of love and passion ..bravo Marco !
👍❤❤
That's the coolest technique I've seen yet
Marco, you're a legend! Your videos have helped me so much on my painting journey, thank you for being you.
Amazing work with the oils. Amazing!!
Super inspiring video, Marco, incredible work!
The amount of time spent on detail and light (color) science can only be described as a labor of love. Outstanding work Marco! Excelente!
Amazing work as always Marco!! Love watching you work magic!
That is one awesome paint Job
Oh my God. I don't even know what to say. It looks fantastic, as if it's not from our universe👏👏👏👏
So awesome! I really appreciate you and your videos, so much that I'm a Patreon. The way you do incredible art and share your step by step process is perfect. It gives me confidence in my painting, and I'm excited to try new things I learn from you!
Crazy job Marco!!!!!!!!!
Another amazing job Marco. Your videos and use of oil paints has made me fall in love with mini painting again. Thank you.
Wow. Amazing work and thank you for explaining the why and how of the techniques.
Dude, amazing. Appreciate this video a lot. Some great new things to try. Thank you for sharing with all of us!
You are a legend!
what an impressive work. I understand now about your "story telling". I feel like I was seeing the scene with all these tones and lights. Congrats, I have never enjoyed a painting video this much so far. Thanks
Amazing Marco!!!!
Simply amazing!
Amazing. So helpful.
love it man, great job!
I’ll use this video as a foundation to start painting my first bust this year. Thank you marco, you make painting a lot more simple
Dense with information...and talent.
😊😁😊😘
Out of this world work. You've outdone yourself. Truly incredible.
Amazing work! You have both inspired me to try different techniques and make bolder choices with my colours and application than any other RUclips figure artist. After watching your videos and trying out some of the techniques my painting has taken a Hughe step forward! I thank you very much for this and look forward to your next video! Thank you from a figure painter from New Zealand!
Insanely good, as always from you!
This is a damn fine paint job. Even just at the black and white stage it's soo evocative. Masterful.
Ciao Marco: You could rename your airbrush for the inital step to - light-gun. Very cool and impressive work in the face!
Very impressive and inspirational. I really have nothing more to add! ^^
Amazing work!! Your a wizard!
I'm always speechless watching your work. I have so far to go.
Insanely good. Speechless.
You've outdone yourself this time Marco.
Also how long have you used those tubes of oils?
I've seen you use them loads but yet they still are very full.
Outstanding 👏
Really looking forward to this, for once I'll be here for a premiere and that mini looks like a ton of Marco thoughtful insight went into it. Nothing better than listening to him think outloud - that's when I'm learning the most!
Sort of a transplant, from his brain to mine!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Respect sir! Simply outstanding and crazy. Your talent is a gift. Thank you for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻
The title was enough for me to give a like, I have been longing to see Marco pushing himself to his best
Master piece!
So amazing! That defenatly looks like Lee Majors for sure. As I am watching you paint I can hear the "Six Million Dallor Man" music playing in my head.
that's just amazing... i wish i can do it like you! my finger are getting better so, soon i will restart paintting, hopefully like you
Hi ! Love how your work always look like 3D illustrations :D It is soo satisfying !
I need that model, wow, great paint job too. I love your artistic intuition so much
😊😍😊😘
Just brilliant
Legit art piece. I would love to see a miniature museum with painted models like this. Maybe even have an area where you could rent speed painted armies to play with for battles. That'd be awesome.
Watch this space and buy a plane ticket to Brisbane for mid 2023
The demonstration is so good and the result so stunning it makes me curse involuntarily. There is so much going on! :D
Amazing!
This is simply incredible, your best so far! I can only dream of being this good one day.
Edit: if this is the quality of video's you will make with your new release schedule I'm 100% in for it!!
Beautiful
Josephus Miller in the flesh
Marco... lacking confidence? inconceivable!
so many techniques and such great explanations of each. Cheers mate
Fantastic
Thanks
The most Color vibrant mini paint video I have seen to this date, like a mix between the most famous sci-if comics and 3D being more alive than the environment in where it is created. It must be the final MF highlight of the year or?
🤟🤩😻👍👍👍💥✨🔥
Very good paint job! the bust looks more like Steve Austin than Major Tom...
"To infinity and beyond"
Brilliant work as always, its always fun to see you paint in larger scales, has your Mindwork Kickstarter arrived yet? mine is coming this week... Excited
wow…Wow…WoW…..WOW!!!!! Thx!!
Pro work
You are faltastic Marco! Which membership level do I need in your patreon to see the complete videos?
referring to the 1st application of oils: I always have the problem that when I do such a blending, that either my brush has too much of the dark, or mixed color. So cleaning it, but then I start to take off the previously now thin layer of oil due to the white spirit... Also: before you apply the oil wash, shadows, did you varnish the model?
(awesome technique and stunning result). The transition of the yellowish light to the bluish works out very interestingly.
Generally, he doesn't like to varnish or seal his models to allow textures to come through a bit more. He talks about it sometimes in his vids. Cheers.
Una parola sola: Capolavoro.
Wow...just wow...and a fantastic step by step.I know the techniques(especially the Oil Rendering/Filtering)cause I started in Military modelling. And as you said it's a very common technique there. But to be honest...Ive lost the overview about all those techniques (Modulation/oils/blending/doting/weathering/wet blending/feathering..etc...etc).And it's horrible to add them all together....ist more a try and error. But back to your bust...as I said on Insta....it's the best version of this bust I've seen (so far😁😉).
Well, nothing more to say than "To infinite quality and beyond!"
BAM!
Never thought I'd live to see Grimdark Disney...
*_Feels like i just watched Magic_*
Marco ma quante tecniche hai usato? Incredibile!!forse tra 3 o 4 vite potrò raggiungere il tuo livello
x.*
Hi Marco!
I've been following you for a while and everything you do is totally amazing.
Just one question: which needle do you use? 0,2?
Not just your best painted Model yet, but also your best video yet! :) Really good job, very enjoyable and really good explained! Especially the oil part. Never saw that in depth like that before. Thank you very much Marco. :)
Thank you soooooooooo much man!!! Really from the heart!!!
Hi Marco !! This work is amazing. Really really nice color use. Can you plz tell me what is the real benefit of using scale 75 artist color range despite of the Classic scale 75 color range ? Thanks for the vidéo.
Would you use Oil Paints on very big models with lots of flat surfaces? I still habe 3 great unclean ones to paint and im not Sure. Is it worth to put a lot of oil on All that skin and then removing the most of it with a sponge again? I dont think you have done a coparable modle yet with oils for reference.
Hello Marco, great job! just a quick question: your first primer is pure black? I have the feeling that some yellowish reflects appear on the bust?
"Art is never finished, only abandoned."
--Leonardo da Vinci
You can spend a lifetime working on a single piece and still consider it incomplete, or 15 minutes and feel like you spent too much time on it. Leonardo painted the Mona Lisa to "completion" for around four years, then continued to working on it on and off throughout his lifetime. He only stopped work on the Mona Lisa when he was practically on his death bed.
I stress ate 16 kit-kats watching the post oil, acrylic highlighting.
Amazing. When pin washing did you varnish or anything like that? I would be scared that going in with mineral spirits again to clean up would remove the previous oils.
Thanks! No, I didn't use varnish here; with the oil phase I was just looking for a general interesting background full of movement and random artifacts so I didn't really care about the stability of the first layer
Did you leave any time between the dot blending step and the pinwashing step to limit the ability of the solvent reactivating the earlier work?
Not in this particular case! Here I was looking for random artifacts and effects to use as a background for the acrylic work so I didn't really care about the stability of the first oil layer
this bust is of the dude out of the "black science" image comics right?
😶...🙄...😮😐... basically I'm speechless 🧎🏻♂️ mi prostro.
To my knowledge acrylic paints don't adhere to oil paints and use to flake off. how did you mitigate this?
This must be your first video...
@@dannypockets Stellar answer dude. So insightful.
@@alcovitch Thanks, I thought it was pretty good too!
No idea how you manage to airbrush the liquitex white straight out of the bottle. I hate this color. Looks awful everytime…with little dots on the surface… yours look so smooth
Check this old video ;) ruclips.net/video/FninJVxExlY/видео.html
