Thanks for another amazing video! Awesome miniatures and love how you use different techniques without a problem! One video i would love to watch from you, would be one that explains the different kinds of use and finish of the varnishes available. Mostly because many painters varnish their minis at the end, as they will be handled by other players on the board. Also a video explaining all about the oils and differences with acrylics will be nice if possible of course :) Thanks again.

Marco, thank you for another awesome video and hope you have a healthy and happy New Year. I did have a question the small metal cups you mix your paint in, do you have a link for them for those of us in the US. I thought they were the ones from Mr Hobby, but those do not have the divot in them to make pouring into the airbrush much easier like yours do.
Thanks a million 😊 and happy new year! Sadly I still don't have a reliable and stable link to share for the paint trays... Sometimes they pop out on eBay and the brand UStar makes all the different shapes. My stash is a souvenir from Korea 😅
I could really use a tutorial on how to mix my paints in the bottle. It seems some of my paints come out of the bottle very differently... I do have some bottles with an agitator in it but even with the agitator some of them stay quite watery. Anyway once again your whole painting process is super interesting and refreshing and the final product looks amazing!
Marco, your techniques look like a LOT of fun and very interesting to try out. It's like rediscovering the joy of painting!!! I want to try out with inks in particular. What essential references do you recommend to acquire for inks?
Thanks!!! I'm super happy for this flow of inspiration 😁😍😁. My ideal starter for inks, able to cover almost every situation is made by; black, white, burnt umber, raw umber, yellow azo, raw sienna, magenta, deep violet, phtalo blue, any green and red that you like 😊
As many have said here your channel is among the best on youtube for tutorials and personality but i'd like to know where you got that small metal mixing dish
Thanks!!! The paint trays/wells come from companies like Tamiya, MrHobby, UStar, (now also AK Interactive has its own ak-interactive.com/product/modeling-paint-wells/ ). You can find them in any model shop or with better prices on eBay (sadly I still don't have a stable and safe link to share); my stash is a souvenir from Korea 😅
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM Great to hear! and as always great work with this video! they look absolutely fantastic! And I must admit, I am scared of the oilpaints like the plague, but now I am actually interested and might give it a shot one day :) great vid.
Thanks for your videos. If i understand correctly it is best to use oils last. In general oils works over acrylics. But can you apply acrylics over oils?? Or maybe you can seal the oil with a coat of varnish before applying Acrylics?
Hey Marco, Does the white highlight work for this colour scheme if you have the light coming from below? I have the purple and blue done (on a skeleton bust 1:10). Light source is from below.
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM perfect. Thanks. That's what I thought, just second guessing. Your videos have opened my mind to a different approach to the hobby (which I love). As with many others, I feel unsure and need reassurance. Thanks doll 💞
This is so close to look I am going for in my army. Except I want black armor in moonlight. I love the look where you can tell the whole model was bathed in moonlight. Can you please help me figure out what colors to use for the armor highlights? I am wanting to go in the blue - purple range. Thank you
Nice concept! I think it can work really well applied to an army. Definitely blue and cold purple work well to immediately convey the idea of night and moonlight. I think an high contrast and strong shadows are the key to render this effect; the colour and temperature of light can easily be changed but the contrast has to be powerful

Hi Marco, another great video! I've watched nearly all of them now! You spend a lot of time getting different textures, lights effects and finishes. Like in this video you say how the leather is naturally glossy with the ink you use. However, seeing as these are gaming pieces, how to you protect them from intense handling without sacrificing some of these effects? It seems like, for example, if you did a mat varnish at the end then some of this would be lost.
Thanks a million!!! I don't use varnish 😁 modern acrylics are extremely touch and resistant and they don't need extra protection (plush varnish is just another layer of paint!)
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM Cool thanks very much for your reply! I feel like a lot of things you do go against the "meta", or what we are told is correct, but you also always have a logical justification for your choices. I think this is one of the things that makes your content so interesting!

My ideal starter for inks, able to cover almost every situation is made by; black, white, burnt umber, raw umber, yellow azo, raw sienna, magenta, deep violet, phtalo blue, any green and red that you like 😊
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM thanks Marco, bought all of them with your affiliate link ;)
@@MrElliptific Thank you soooooo much man!!! 😍 This is super super appreciated 😍!!! Thanks a million 😊😊😊
Mindblowing as always, Marco! Absolutely sensational. Bravissimo! Keep going, you're doing a good job :D Haha
😂😍😍😍 Thank you soooooo much!!!
Great vid again bro and very informative
As many have said here your channel is among the best on youtube for tutorials and personality
but i'd like to know where you got that small metal mixing dish
Hello Marco! Welcome back! I hope you had a great holiday!
Hi! Thanks a million 😊 Oh yeah, great holidays, not enough sleep, but probably because of that great holidays 😅
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM Great to hear! and as always great work with this video! they look absolutely fantastic! And I must admit, I am scared of the oilpaints like the plague, but now I am actually interested and might give it a shot one day :) great vid.
Absolutely beautiful, welcome back buddy!
Thanks a million man!!! I'm really happy to be back 😊😁😊
Very nice technics I need to try !! :)
I really need to make a Marco Soundboard App. Of course only with the approval of the man himself :D
Really great video! Love your speedpaint :)
😍😘
Thanks for your videos.
If i understand correctly it is best to use oils last. In general oils works over acrylics. But can you apply acrylics over oils??
Or maybe you can seal the oil with a coat of varnish before applying Acrylics?
Happy New Year Marco :)
I can stop taking the anti-depressant tablets now as video's are BACK........4 hours until lunchtime then I can watch :) :) :)
Happy new year 🎉🎊🎉!!!
😂😂😂 Glad to make your life better 😘
Hey Marco,
Does the white highlight work for this colour scheme if you have the light coming from below? I have the purple and blue done (on a skeleton bust 1:10). Light source is from below.
You should always put your maximum highlights in the direction of your main light so in this case it's better to use it for the light from below!
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM perfect. Thanks. That's what I thought, just second guessing. Your videos have opened my mind to a different approach to the hobby (which I love). As with many others, I feel unsure and need reassurance. Thanks doll 💞
@@briarstingwrf7284 Don't worry at all 😉 it's always a great pleasure 😉😘!!!
Grandioso!
Molte grazie!
love that paint scheme i have got the slaves to darkness start collecting! box would love to see your take on the chaos knights
Thanks 😊! Nice, I have the box on the table waiting only for a kick of inspiration...
MarcoFrisoniNJM I built the first few knights on the horses and the chaos lord on the kakadrak , and with some magnets I still have both head and weapon options 🤘
@@hermanwink516 I'm not extremely convinced by the Lord (the mount has a very Stormcast's style), but I love the knights and the new warriors!!!
MarcoFrisoniNJM yeah that’s why i think I need to make a mod for the dragon, so far some different bodyparts from al factions, also trying to fit some lights for the head (eyes and mouth)
@@hermanwink516 😍 Cool idea!!!
I think this is one of the things that makes your content so interesting!
catching up on your vids.... cool stuff, just started trying out oils this way.
Awesome content, thank you!
Any chance you could work on some "flatter" shapes like spaceships / vehicles, by any chance? I'm painting X-Wing miniatures and would love some insights! :)
Thanks a million!!! During these holidays I started working on series about tanks 😁 perfect timing 😁
Would love to see you paint the Unmade Warband!!
I have them on table, built and based 😉😉😉
