The hair metal era is back!!! :o) It throws me back into my teenage years on a Sunday morning. I got this album on vinyl when I was 15... almost 40 ago.
I liked the previous song from 92, but I'm not so keen on this one. It's okay, but possibly would need to be listened to a few times before it may take a hold. Blackie Lawless is his stage name. He was in a previous band called Killer Kane and went by the stage name of Blackie Goozeman. His birth name is Steven Edward Duren. He was born in Tampa, Florida, but grew up in Staten Island, New York City.
Waiting for Ayreon, "Everybody Dies" (live). It's metal at its best, by the best in metal - and my money says Mrs. Coach will love it. (>800k views can't all be wrong, eh?)
Hi folks! I can play, too! I took my stupid ex-GF to see Blackie on that Crimson Idol tour. My stupid, Indigo Girls, pop radio ex-GF and when we left out of there, she was a hardcore fan. But then, boy, that show was good. She probably wouldn't have enjoyed those earlier, "Animal", throwing offal days. And he switched to guitar on that tour, too. Good thing, too, because I really put the hammer down on WASP around the house. No more Indigo Girls! This is one of the tracks he's changed the lyrics to now that he and brother Jesus are on the same page. It's a little lame, but it's still a great song. (Hey, Mrs. Coach, you're right , of course. He gets two for flinching! And one for being full of sh*t.) Oh well, what's a man without his double standard? So Coach, any time you want to try a whole album reaction, I nominate "Inside the Electric Circus". Eh? Eh? You know you want to. And sorry, coach, but you know this came out 42 years ago. Time does indeed fly. Love you guys!
_Mean Man_ is going to be required ; though, i think something like _Wild Child_ or _I Wanna Be Somebody_ might go down just a little better in terms of easing her in. otherwise you might as well jump straight to _Don't Cry_ or _Dirty Balls_ 😂😂
False advertising! These are not White Anglo-Saxon Protestants! I wasn't born under a turnip truck that I fell out of yesterday! Nice try Coach, but I have the eyes of a ....a person with eyes! ;)
🤣🙃🤪 From an article I read: Over the years, the name has been shrouded in mystery, seemingly open to interpretation; and when asked, the band has never really given a straight answer as to what their name stands for. Lawless himself once answered, “We Ain’t Sure, Pal.”
@@CoachCastTV One thing I've learned is that sometimes people do things just because it's cool. Fans always want to find some deep meaning, but sometimes... ;)
“…the Lucifer’s magic.” No thank you. Hard pass for me. As men of integrity and worth, we have to draw the line somewhere. Trading that for a song isn’t worth it. The soul is worth more than a catchy hook. I have to stand in my strength as a man and say there’s far too much great music out there that I don’t have to swallow every philosophy being fed to me. I hope Blackie Lawless genuinely got saved. The proof will be in his walk and the fruits of his labor. But this song along with Lucifer’s magic are rotten fruit.
Perhaps you should read more to understand what the reference means rather than jumping to conclusions. But I do realize that some words are spooky to some people. LOL sonichits.com/video/W.A.S.P./Sleeping_(in_the_Fire)
This one and hold onto my heart is my favorite

Forever free and Hold on to my heart are probably something she would enjoy
Great song! More 80's songs of them!
Mrs. Coach would probably like 'Blind in Texas'.
Blackie Lawless was born as Steve Edward Duren in New York
Thank you for the info!

Probably next one will be Forever free, named back then in the eighties as the best ballad of all time :D
Ya'll do really good reactions 🤣 😂 👏 👌
Thanks so much!
Probably the best definition of a "Power" ballad.
But wasp ballads aren't like cheesy warrant ballads. There dark n emotional especially in their later catalog

Great info. Thanks for sharing! Did not have any idea that he was Goozeman at one time.
P.S. His name is actually Steve Duran. And he's actually blonde. Or was 40 years ago.
Well that's an interesting twist.

song is ballad and not for me
