What do you mean by cords? I have only ever used Reformers that have actual springs...not cords as springs. But anyway, yes, the reformer carriage is secured at the stopper when adjusting strap lengths. I hope that helps.

I use PilatesEquip but STOTT and also Balanced Body are great brands.
