    Very cool to see someone install their cam and then tune it by themselves.

    It’s running and made it back home after a bunch of test runs, I’d say it’s a successful mission 👍🏻

    Was looking for performance mods for my 99 after I finish prepping it for paint. Definitely going to do this. Subscribed.

      If your gonna do cam you might as well do push rods, lifters, rockers and valve springs

    Automatic. That broke my heart. Very nice car though.

    Did you completely remove the pan to install the timing chain or did you just unbolt a few bolts out of the front and it dropped down enough?

    Do y'all have any experience with tuning before this? Did you find it was easy to figure out how to do on your own?

    • @ChiefDbo
      @ChiefDbo  Год назад +1

      I've tuned with sct before this on my turbo ford. This was the first time using hp tuners

      Hptuners is definitely tuning program you need to know cars an how everything works. Definitely needs 3800 plus converter, but awesome job y’all!!

    just found this channel, see you're running into the concerns of overheating...so you can replace C/H but need new radiator...something people don't talk about much when doing this work...sounds great (save the Chevy Chirp...hate that all the Vette's Camaro's have that stupid belt chirp)

    • @wisco-lad
      @wisco-lad 20 дней назад

      Belt chirp?

    • @other4819
      @other4819 20 дней назад

      @@wisco-lad @1:43 and on you can hear it, Camaro's notorious for it, I find it aggravating on mine, typically cold starts and cold weather make it worse...

    • @wisco-lad
      @wisco-lad 19 дней назад

      @other4819 never heard of it lol... now I'll have to check n see if mine does it.

    • @other4819
      @other4819 19 дней назад

      @@wisco-lad I don't know if the newer camaro's and vettes do it, I just know the late 90's and early 2000's do it...usually during cold start or cold weather though, if hot out, doesn't seem to happen as much
