She steals every single scene she is in. She was magnificent as CJ, probably her greatest masterpiece, but I'll also never forget her in "American Beauty." She had a small role, but it was one of the most pivotal... she didn't say much, but her role stands out as one of the best of the movie. I think she's truly an outstanding talent.

When you put this small role or the one in 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' next to her work on 'The West Wing', you can see why Allison Janney is a great actress. She excels at both dramatic and comedic roles. She's great (IMO).
It always blows my mind how Allison Janney isn't given leading roles despite being the most decorated character actress of our times not to mention an extraordinary talent. I hope Hollywood gives her the same respect they give to the likes of Glenn Close, Meryl Streep, Frances McDormand, and Jodie Foster. The range Allison Janney possess & to be wasted in just 30 minutes supporting roles is just tragic.
