Lyrics Below:
The jewel, the prize
Looking into your eyes
Cool pools drown your mind
What else will you find
I heard a rumor -- it was just a rumor
I heard a rumor -- what have you done to her
Myriad lights -- they said I'd be impressed
Arabian Knights -- at your primitive best
A tourist oasis -- reflects in seedy sunshades
A monstrous oil tanker
Its wound bleeding in seas
I heard a rumor -- what have you done to her
I heard a rumor -- what have you done to her
Veiled behind screens
Kept as your baby machine
Whilst you conquer more orifices
Of boys, goats and things
Ripped out sheep's eyes -- no forks or knives
Myriad lights -- they said I'd be impressed
Arabian Knights -- at your primitive best - Видеоклипы

Good description. Incidentally almost never looks directly at the camera. This is one of the few videos she does.
Stu Morris!?Again? I've seen you under every single bowie song lmao
my mum showed me siouxsie and the banshees a few months ago and now i'm absolutely in love with siouxsie sioux
me too!!
Great artists does not know about générations or ages, they are eternal and its music sound timeless, you made a great choice, Siouxsie and the banshees are one of the most creative and original bands of all time!
@digitally insane true !
In France, we pronouce kind of "siuksee", but i know that you must say "suzee" in the english way
@digitally insane My mom pronounces is see-oo-x-ee but i think it's meant to be pronounced Suzie
Always loved Siouxsie.
First record I bought was happy house♥️
Still one of my favourite bass lines. simple, clean and grunty. Nice chords too .
quite true. influence for The Cure, too...
kiwijohn01 yeah, it still sounds as fresh as a daisy and still eerily prescient ...
kiwijohn01 yes love the that bit where it picks up tempo.. kind of wish it lasted longer
easy peasy too
Had the same thought- Love playing this on bass like mostly all of Severins early stuff.
I have no words to describe how perfect this is
I what sense?
Guido Octavio It’s just an extremely good song
I have; sensational, gripping, emotional, wonderful, purfik.
@@guidooctavio3982 It's perfect yes, seu idiotaa!
+1
McGeogh, how he plays a guitar to make it sounds like a keyboard is pure genius R.I.P.
Guess they blew all the blue screen budget on Spellbound xD
The sound of the guitar on this is out of this world. John had a very unique guitar style; like Johnny Marr with effects and a more outside the box way of playing.
John McGeoch was in fact a being influencr on Johnny Marr. Both Marr and Morrissey have expressed their administration for Siouxsie and the Banshees
@@luismarioguerrerosanchez4747 Yeah, I can see that. I still prefer this John's playing over the Smiths' anyday.
John was 1 of the best ever
John mcgeoch, never forget John Mcgeoch...what a sound RIP.
This song can never be replicated.
It can be by talented musicians
YEAH YEAH YEAH Ccomes close
Nor could the music video, true one of a kind
They are so good, man, literally every song is a banger.
Bass ,drums, guitar and vocals Just stunning
Cracking song. All four of the band at the top of their game here - all bouncing off each other musically...welly lugging....
My 20 in the 80's..Siouxsie is the band i followed the most...20 times or more every where in Europe, from London to Berlin i saw them in concert.....and every day since i put a record of Siouxsie on my stereo....!!!!!
its impressive please interwie ?
I have just discovered this group and I love them

Great sound 👍 Brits are definitely the best and Siouxsie's eyes just hypnotic !!!

Yup, but move there and nobody knows anything that's older than 2 years.. Weird people..
I can't get over how good this song is. It should be illegal to release something this fire.
Especially around 2:01, when the heavier notes on the bass hit at the same time as Siouxsie's perfect vocals.
Absolutely
Very beautiful song! Siouxsie is truly the queen of goth and the priestess of rock...
1:09 love that look of thunder on her face! looks really angry about the roomer she heard!
It's Rumour actually. 😁
Was just going to.. Never seen it spelled that way.. Anorhee bad thing about the Internet... You keep seeing the insane spelling online. I mean i could fuck up but sometimes.. I saw Die of Beeties once... Thats diabetes. And not as a joke. 😳
She looks beautiful in this video
Beauitiful
I've aye thot she looked beautiful, ma face would be glued tae her gusset gvn 1/2 a chance, l'll deal wi any charges, she'd drop them like when l got charged for my dog dancing in the street, this is Scotland they dae that kinda shit.

Am I the only one listening to this fantastic song?
no way!
No your not . The message these lyrics are sharing had not yet been fully realised. Her witches hat is not by accident. It's a very disturbing story and will be coming to light very soon. Here's a clue Epstein didn't kill himself.
No

Nope
I saw the Banshees in Scotland, 1981 tour.
I was blown away by them
AMAZING 👏 😍
I saw them too. Edinburgh Playhouse. They were brilliant! 😁
Love that organic drum sound. On headphones it goes right through me.
John Mcgeoch....his awesome guitar riffs layed out the way for goth...Juju was his masterpiece..guitar here is superb
The drum riffs, the bass lines. Damned near perfect.
Absolutely agree with you...John Mcgeoch was exceptional.
Wish Juju had included Israel, then it would be the perfect guitar album. McGeoch's riffs were pure genius.
McGeoch is one of the greatest unsung guitarists. Johnny Marr knows.
@@wideernie mcgeoch/ Adamson. Scotlands finest guitarists
Am I the only one that thinks the opening scene is HILARIOUS? I love the Banshees but the way they toss Siouxsie, rolled up in that rug, is just really dorky :)
I think a lot of Banshees music videos are funny. Like the falling cat in Spellbound, the kids that swamp Siouxsie at the end of Playground Twist, the music video for Happy House in general.
You're the only one

They: Lay down, Siouxsie. We toss you... Oh wait, is that a sword? F_ck, this is gonna be a gas...

@@rimqu1 because the lyrics are quite violent and explicit, so some people think the song is racist whereas it only targets very specific violent people, and obviously not all people from middle east 🙂
Happy birthday Siouxsie🖤
Brilliant song that doesn't get much airplay these days. I wonder why...?
John McGeoch guitar work is amazing!!!

Que magnetismo tiene esta mujer hermosa, que gran banda y que pedazo de melodía
I still remember how raw and shambolic they were in the early days of Punk! Siouxsie was always unique and original! What great female artists we had back then. Music seems less exciting and original today, with so much dull auto-tuned urban dance trax!!
There's loads of great , original modern music ; you just wont hear it on daytime radio . Especially Radio 1 & 2 .
I love the 'Strange Days' nod McGeoch throws in there
I love how they have fun when they play with the swords. :)
Absolutely fantastic song :)

I am still left speechless by this song nearly half a century later. If you want truly great women's music the late 70's and early 80's had it: Lene Lovitch, Nina Hagen, Siouxsie Sioux, Kate Bush, kd Lang, Blondie, Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith and even the original screamer, Yoko Ono, who IMHO had evolved from mere 'screamy' sound scapes to having more good melodic and quirky original songs on 'Double Fantasy' than John did and I still wear Lennon glasses!

it's the epic drums and the floating guitar plus the video which introduced me to the band back then in 1981-my absolute favorite track ever!

Fantastic and still as mesmerising!
