TickTick easily top 3 , your list almost focused on IOS only.
    TickTick cross platforms
    Calender integrations
    Calender View
    Time blocking
    attachement
    multiple dates not just due
    Habit trackers
    Recurrent tasks
    Tasks / Checklists
and on top of that basic Good Notes taking
and finally , the most cheapest one from all of what you mentioned (beside appl reminder ofc)

Hey Hussam. Thanks for your comment. TickTick is indeed a capable app. I like that it has the calendar view built in. On balance, I prefer the apps that I listed in the video, but I agree that TickTick does some things very well. For people who don’t use Apple devices, I would recommend Todoist over TickTick.

@@PeterAkkies I totally agree with you! I really appreciate that Todiost is visually appealing, but I switched to TickTick because of their countdown feature. It’s so helpful to see the relative due date instead of just the absolute date, especially for things like the expiry of credit cards or licenses. It lets you know at a glance how many days are left until your task (card) gets expired. Thanks for the awesome video, Peter!

I would include Tick Tick in this list too, especially if someone prefers to work in a time blocking methodology. I moved to it after using Omnifocus for over 10 years and it's worked well for me but as you say there's no perfect to-do app only the perfect one for you 😄

Basically every single feature you mentioned as advantages for things and omnifocus is available in todoist with filters and sub projects or sections.... And it's cross platform. I honestly don't see a single advantage of things 3 over todoist. It also isn't as good for natural language entry

Hi Peter. Another excellent video. I am a happy user of Things. I took your Apple Notes course and loved it. Now I run things and Notes at the same time. You made a good point when comparing Things to Notes. Things is for To-Do items and Notes is for everything else (those are my words). For Apple users these two apps work the best together, and I find it easy the move my work between the two. Thanks, Peter.

I think you’re correct. I didn’t mention Apple Notes in my other response, but this combo of Things3 and Apple Notes is where it’s at, I believe. I don’t know if I’m doing it right, but I throw all Apple Notes in one of three categories, but by month. That creates 36 Smart Folders per year! Maybe I should take Peter’s course.

Things 3 is great. Three main pain points:
    - no attachments
    - not being able to set defer dates
    - no sync possibilities with the calendar for time blocking.
For me it still works better than omnifocus though because of the much better user interface, design and simplicity of use

Thanks for this, I have just downloaded and started using Things. One point of note: a few comments say it’s costly. I paid £9.99 for it on my iPhone, which I consider good value for a solid app which is supported and reliable. I looked at getting it on my MacBook but that version of it is £49.99 which does seem expensive if it does the same thing as the mobile version. For my purposes having a to do list on my phone is most useful and more like have a paper list, so I am very happy sticking with the phone app only. Cheers.

Do you know if the data in the Reminders app can be easily transferred to any one of these apps mentioned in this video? Additionally, the app needs to be one that allows attached images. I would prefer it to be one that’s compatible with Siri as well.
