The two dogs family "will come this week" What? My little dog escaped from our wooden fenced yard and the pound had her. I knew within hours. I called and called. They said finally that they had him. I drove in the dark with my husband to get her ,because they said it was too late, and we were going to spring her because she was used to sleeping in a bed with us. I was so desperate. Of course they caught us. They allowed me to see her in the OUT DOOR CAGE. I cried all night long. We went down in the morning the second they opened and took our baby home. We were not trying to get out of the fine, we just needed him to be in his own bed and not to be scared of all the dogs barking and in a very strange place. Dogs are really our children. Imagine your child taken and put into a cage. The only good thing I can think of is that he could have been run over by a car if the pound did not pick him up. So for that we are grateful.
@@justice2255 I feel this. I would have been SO upset, omg. I probably would have chained myself to that cage and slept out there waiting for them to come back in the morning, LOL!! When I was very young, our Daisy was lost for 2 weeks and the grief we went through was indescribable. (I can't imagine how parents/caregivers can even function when a child is lost. I cannot imagine it.) We were so blessed to find her again - and extremely lucky, because this was WAY before the birth of the internet. My Pop Pop heard a local radio station doing their "Lost and Found" report and heard them mention a found dog that sounded like her with a family a few towns over, and we raced there and to this day I remember seeing her, about 20 pounds lighter and filthy and just an awful mess, but it was HER and I could just cry right now thinking about the pure relief and joy of that moment. She was so excited and happy to see us, she threw up right there on that poor family's floor 😂I still have one of her toys. Best dog in the world. So happy you got your baby back.❤

Yes! I love it when he tells her it's ok to cry. :-) my son has a GS mix - and he cries like that if I have been in the office all day. they are so sweet.
I think she said she had to leave someone behind....poor baby. I cant imagine if she was kept somewhere on purpose or if they are able to ask the person who dropped her off...dog whisperer for sure. Hope she is getting better!! ❤

They will be till their last breath. I had let to sleep in my german shepherd when she was just 8-9 cause of tumor in stomach and head. She came from breeders. But even when she had tumor in her head and stomach. When she barely could walk anymore probably cause of the brain damage or combination with tumor in stomach. She still had all the energy to that little which she could. Still happy. Still wanting to live. it's sad that dogs are so tough. Because with tumors alot of time you see it to late.

@@AnneMarieNicol Agreed, while it is important to be a friend to animals, it is more important to be compassionate to your fellow human beings. People can be great pet owners but terrible parents, spouses, siblings, children, etc.
@@AnneMarieNicol Not the best example mate. Hitler had a favourite dog called Blondie and he killed it with a damn cyanide capsule just to make sure they worked so.......??
@@AnneMarieNicol _"We have to stop coming to superficial conclusions"_ indeed, which should *also* include the stubborn hear-say about this psychopath's purported trait of "loving" German Shepherds (so, not *all* dogs, or animals in general)... I'm willing to argue that his assumed "love" was nothing but a mixture of pragmatism and national chauvinism (but may not in that order): As canines and their national heritage go, there's hardly a more famous German breed than the "German Sheperd" (I'm 100% sure it'll be the #1 on every "Family Feud"-format quiz globally) and "famous" with good reason, bc it's not for nothing that they are the breed of choice for law-enforcement/security services/defence/etc the world over, for aeons; praised for their loyalty, intelligence, fearlessness, and *ultra-quick* learning capacity. So, I would argue that, to him, they 'represented' Germany, and that their characteristics ^mentioned earlier^ were the definitive reasons he *preferred* them so much: That's something completely different than "love", bc to feel love you have to be able to feel empathy, which was hardly the case with Adolf. Just like most evil-natured and spineless human excrements, he too had to compensate for his profound cowardice with dogs bc he was too gutless and feeble to protect and defend himself in case of physical attacks or dangerous situations, and needed trustworthy, courageous dogs to do the job for him (same goes for criminal filth for [ab]using Pitbull Terriers as their 1st choice). In conclusion, *yes,* I most definitely agree with the OP who quoted Kant's assertion: *_"We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals."_* Peace out... 😉
Given the way she acts towards people and strangers, I wonder if she was a homeless person's best friend and the person was picked up or something bad happened to them. She's very well socialized and friendly and used to being loved on.
I see it too. Sometimes, when people fall into housing insecurity or homelessness, they bond with an animal who was also homeless. The human they depend on cannot provide their friend with the resources they need, through no fault of their own. They must surrender their friend to a person or organization who can provide that, and it's heartbreaking. Bless the homeless, the animals, and those who the love and compassion to help them. 🐕💕
This one really hits deep, Rocky. I've rescued several shepherds and if I could I would take her right away and get her through recovery. She doesn't deserve to have to cry another day in her life.
To me it looked like she’s been on the streets for quite some time. I rescued a Shepard mix off the streets where I know that he’d been in a field for over a month and was 20-25 pounds under weight. Not as bad as her but she’s got a road ahead of her, once the medical gets resolved and she starts to feel better is where their mental and emotional behaviors start to show. From my own experiences I didn’t decompress mine enough before I threw him back into what I would call normal life. When they’re in fight or flight mode it takes time for their transformation.
PS The wee Shep sibling of the boy you sat with is almost identical to the Shep I grew up with (we're talking 1980s), even in the smaller size. Uncanny. Her name was Brandi if sis needs a nickname too.
What does he do? Does he make sure this dog is fed? Ridiculous, people. Wake up! This man is using this poor animal for ratings, nothing more. Pure evil.
Yeeeesh I cried hard on this one. Stumbled across your videos on RUclips this evening for the first time. Thank you for doing this and giving these wonderful animals a platform where they obviously have none. ❤
My husband and son brought home a shepherd as skinny as this girl saying she chose my son. I was surprised how fast her health recovered. Best dog ever.

My German shepard was almost that skinny when I adopted him. He's an extra large and tall boy.he went from 76 to 115 lbs in 3 months and is in perfect condition now
I literally cried with her. She so deserves all the "good girls" and all the love in the world. Rocky thank you so much for bringing awareness to shelters and what they offer. Much love from Canada.
@@joannehowell8267 Some German shepherds cry when they friendly "talk." Mine does, and he is very well fed. He just needs to talk back to let us know that he agrees.
I’m a cat person, by far, but I was literally crying while I was watching this. Especially when she cried when you told her that she was a good girl, which she definitely is, and she’s absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to see her as she gets back to a healthy state. ❤️
Cat person are also a dog person. I am primarily a cat person because of my job that keeps me busy they are easier to handle but given a chance I would have a of horse and a cow and a dog and a donkey and a pig and …..
This is by far the most important thing to do for a dog and especially a dog like her. She is a very beautiful dog and she reminds me of my dog I had. Many years ago I had a German shepherd and his name was Charo. He was a good dog but he had 1 problem he would chase cows and calves. Well one day he tackled a calf and had it by the throat and he was trying to kill it. My dad came home and saw it and decided to give my dog away. The last time I saw him I cried. He was under an old camper and he could hardly stand up. He was placed in this camper by the man who took him. My dad was mad 😡 about it but the guy said that "Quote " You told me to take him and you didn't care what. But I said he was my dog and I think I said that he was just being hurt for no reason. Well anyway I have nothing left to say about it.. God bless you all and may God keep you safe and I Pray That You Are Having A Blessed Night ❤
@@Aleyah I've had both cats & dogs, but could never call myself either a cat or dog person, I guess I'm just a pet person or an animal person, and that sounds like what you are too 🥰

Thank you. Those little cries when you where first pet her and she was in your lap... I have to do the same, be thankful she will now get everything she deserves!!
What is really sad for me, is that I know German Shepherds are ‘people pickers’, they’re the kind of dog that chooses one person and sticks with them!!! So for her to be here means that love wasn’t returned… 😢 So glad she’s got a second chance!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
There are two GS next door, in a long line of neglected dogs. It pains me to here the one sheherd cry in excitement when the guy's truck pulls in. Maybe they get a bowl of food..well probably no bowls, thrown down every day or two. Yet she still cries in excitement when her unloving, neglectful master returns home. 😓
@@Paris4me well neglect doesn’t always entail physical abuse like beatings, and no sign of physical beatings or fear doesn’t mean an innocent owner either

I could not help crying my eyes out with Macy and hearing her whimpering was heartbreaking. She is so sweet and beautiful. I hope all the animals in the world get the love and respect they deserve.
We adopted a dog like her so ematiated and probably ran away from the people treating her that way and we got her fattened up and she was with us for thirteen years and the sweetest nicest dog who had a life of love. Had to share with you because this is so hard to see a dog in that shape but we were able to change her life.
I'm 73, and have been alone for a lot of years. I get along with animals very well, especially dogs and horses. I've considered doing a dog rescue, but a dog might live longer than I will, and putting a dog through the loss breaks my heart. Today I did check the local shelter (there's only one in the area, 20 miles away). I was somewhat surprised to see they had two prices for cats, depending on the age, and for a younger cat they want $200, which seems extremely high. They have one dog that I'd consider, about five years old, and only $50. There's another shelter about 50 miles away that I'm going to check tomorrow.
Bless your heart! Yes I am from the South- I love animals so much!! Any kind of Mammal. I am 68 and have been alone- by choice for many years. I love animals best of all! I have had dogs and cats most of my life! I also raised and kept horses!!
Being a dog owner myself, it truly breaks my heart when I see dogs like this. I can't believe people can be so cruel and neglect such a sweet dog. I pray that this sweet dog gets a loving home.🙏🙏🙏
For the state she was in she was so well behaved and loving. I wouldn't have blamed a dog for showing aggression after going through what she clearly has. Just goes to show how amazing dogs are, many people don't deserve them.
She's probably starving and just doesn't understand that she has to have small, frequent feeds to let her stomach get used to food again. If she eats too much, too fast, it will just come up or she will get sick. It's beyond me how anyone can starve an animal or a child. Makes me so angry.
My heart breaks for her. She's been treated so badly, but you can tell immediately that she still has so much love to give to the right person who loves her back
@Buzy Mama she is telling us her story. You look @ this beautiful girl and know that her life's been very hard. Her soulful cries in Rocky's hands I think tells her story. We just can't understand what she is saying in our words. I found it very interesting IMHO that she only began crying after it seemed that she started to trust Rocky. Amazing dog, shelter,Staff,Mel, and of course Rocky! I wish Macie(Macy) a swift recovery to health, a loving forever family, and I wish that I could adopt her. Unfortunately I got old.
Rocky, thanks to your incredible inspiration, I just recently adopted a 3-yr old Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix from my local rescue. His name is Sawyer :) He's heart-worm positive, very underweight and has skin/coat issues. Despite all of that, I'm looking to the future (as you suggested) where Sawyer is heart disease-free, safe, and living his best life. Keep up the awesome work!
My girl Pepper was emaciated, heartworm positive and had just weaned a litter of 12 pups when I found her, she is now healthy and happy here 7 years later and I am so grateful. 😊
Rocky, I just wanted to tell you how special you are, and how significant your love is for all these neglected and seemingly unloved dogs 😢! Thank you for giving all that love, you are so special!
Thanks Rocky and family for all you do! I have been watching your cannel for a while and decided to join today. I was blessed to receive a Christmas bonus this year and would like to pass a little along to help. Merry Christmas beautiful girl! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Danke! How skinny she is breaks my heart. I can't understand how people can be so cruel. I have two cats and a newborn baby, and my boyfriend and i are still uhm learning our jobs (Auszubildende in german), so we don't have that much money but i wait for the day we are financially stable enough to adopt maybe a senior cat or one that is for whatever reason really long in the shelter nearest to us. Really i wish people who are cruel to animals get what they deserve
She reminds me of my Viviane. I found her in the woods in a similar state. She was terrified of people. She was likely dropped there and had been in the woods alone for months. It took a trap from Animal Control to get her as no one could get close. When I checked in with her, they told me she was going to be put down as she was too aggressive to adopt. I convinced them to let me take her. She was never aggressive. Just scared. I intended to just foster and train her but quickly realized that I was the only person she trusted. She's still learning that people can be cool but my blind kitty is her best buddy and the 3 of us do everything together
You have done such a beautiful thing in adopting a dog that everybody else had given up on 💚 I adopted a cat who was similarly unapproachable (although with cats it's less of a potential danger, in some ways). She had been in the rescue centre for months and then in a foster home for 6 months, and no-one wanted her as she wouldn't let anyone get close to her. I adopted her because I kinda understood her, and also I didn't care if she wasn't affectionate and was also physically disabled (she had a gammy leg). I just wanted to give her a safe home, and to have a feline companion, regardless of how she behaved. I gave her all the time & space she needed to acclimatise to her new home, and didn't pressure her to be affectionate, and quite quickly she learned to trust me, and then to accept and give affection (but I always let her take the lead). Rescue pets just need to be accepted how they are, and given time...with patience and love they will find their way to trusting and loving again 🙏😌
Seeing the horrible things some of these babies go through is heartbreaking enough. But for some reason, it feels 10,000 times more heartbreaking when they’re still so incredibly gentle and sweet regardless of what they’ve been through. She has every right to be distrustful and angry with humans for how she’s been treated, yet she’s the sweetest angel. 😢❤
I wanted to let you and the staff know it’s not only dogs you’re helping. Watching you guys care for dogs that have been through so much helps me have hope. Thank you
When my brother died suddenly I saw my brother beloved dog cry like this.. this breaks my heart what a beautiful dog.. she was even getting more relaxed just by have company..
I found it interesting that she wouldn't touch the food in the bowl until you hand fed her a bit of it specifically. As soon as she knew it was okay to eat it and had the flavour and scent, she went for the bowl. The poor sweetheart. My two younger GSD's (one mix) reacted and ran to the TV when she started crying (I'd like to send you a couple pics as it was very sweet). They have been glued to the TV since very sad. They know she has "Owies" and understand a ton of words. I/we will be following her progress and can't wait to see her healthy and happy 💗
With my 12 year Armed Forces career and 18 years in the Prison Service I have seen and witnessed some terrible things, but I cannot understand how and why someone would let their dog get into this state. To be truthful it has bought a tear to my eye being the animal lover I am. What a beautiful German Shepherd she is and still so trusting and loving. I just hope she now gets an excellent forever home that she deserves, bless her!!
You have been such an inspiration, Rocky! I live in Mexico and we don’t have many no-kill shelters. A friend of mine and I are starting a non-profit dog rescue and going to help with these street dogs get rehabilitated by working with an amazing trainer here and getting them adopted. 🥰🙏🏻
That would be awesome. My ex husband was living in Mexico not long ago and he would make food to take to the beach to feed the stray dogs. If I had been there, they would have come home with us.
From Australia. I was crying watching that beautiful German shepherd in such an awful condition. I do hope she gets a good home as she deserves it. Thank you you for doing the great work with these dogs. I am a dog lover and cannot understand how some people treat them so cruelty.
I lost my best friend six months ago, and would go without anything for him to have food and vet visits. Very big dog. I used to say I cannot understand how someone would do this to a dog. The fall of humanity or was it ever there. I hope she gets a home this one really got to me. I have no idea what time period. This happened if somebody can let me know And if she’s OK.
This baby girl just tore me down this ripped my heart out of my chest I can't understand how someone can let this happen to these fur babies. She's so beautiful and deserves so much love. I'd love to take all of them as I've got so much love to give. And I believe that dogs are the greatest creatures God gave us in this earth. I prefer to be around dogs rather than humans.
My dog cries like this all the time and she's spoilt rotten and very loved 😂 She'll cry like this if I'm eating something and I don't give it to her 😂 It may just be a GSD thing, my girl is 40% GSD and really has a very shepherd personality.
I , unfortunately have heard a dog cry just like this poor girl ,, she craves and wants the attention and affection sooo badly , but is not familiar with kind touches 😢 , she s screaming in anticipation of kindness , 💔 it will take a while , but with these good people , she will come to know that people are not all bad , and pets and touch are are essential for a complete healing , if I were in better health , and lived closer to where she is , I would sign up for that sweet girl in a heartbeat 🙏🏾🙏🏾😢😢💔
I just wanna make a lasagna for this dog and watch her eat it. I know that'd be bad- you have to carefully introduce food to an emaciated animal- but yeah....wanna hug her forever.
They couldn't take this beautiful dogs spirt away from her. She will have no problem finding a loving home, and hopefully she gets all the love she didn't get and more.
Sending some love. I can't help but think of poet Mary Oliver's sweet poem from her collection, Dog Songs (Mary adored her dog) Little Dog's Rhapsody in the Night He puts his cheek against mine and makes small, expressive sounds. And when I’m awake, or awake enough he turns upside down, his four paws in the air and his eyes dark and fervent. “Tell me you love me,” he says. “Tell me again.” Could there be a sweeter arrangement? Over and over he gets to ask. I get to tell.

110 lbs. is hefty for a female, my pure bred male Shepherd, Julius, from a home breeder, was also runt of litter, grew to 110 lbs. & had a head like a bull, was the dog 'love of my life,' lived to 13, back legs lost strength, but he managed when no one was looking to wobble himself behind the hedges & die. Heard my mom scream when she found him. It was his final act of being perfect. I was having a difficult time forcing myself to have him euthanized bc he was miserable w/ his legs. He did everything perfect his whole life, even 'spared' me having to make that choice in the end.

True! We love our dogs for that!!
"We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals." - Immanuel Kant 💗
Not true,Hitler loved German Shepherds and had quite a few,yet was an evil cruel man! We have to stop coming to superficial conclusions!
@@AnneMarieNicol Agreed, while it is important to be a friend to animals, it is more important to be compassionate to your fellow human beings. People can be great pet owners but terrible parents, spouses, siblings, children, etc.
@@AnneMarieNicol we don't know how he treated those dogs however. Owning one doesn't mean they are loved or that they love their owner
@@AnneMarieNicol Not the best example mate. Hitler had a favourite dog called Blondie and he killed it with a damn cyanide capsule just to make sure they worked so.......??
@@AnneMarieNicol
_"We have to stop coming to superficial conclusions"_ indeed, which should *also* include the stubborn hear-say about this psychopath's purported trait of "loving" German Shepherds (so, not *all* dogs, or animals in general)...
I'm willing to argue that his assumed "love" was nothing but a mixture of pragmatism and national chauvinism (but may not in that order):
As canines and their national heritage go, there's hardly a more famous German breed than the "German Sheperd" (I'm 100% sure it'll be the #1 on every "Family Feud"-format quiz globally) and "famous" with good reason, bc it's not for nothing that they are the breed of choice for law-enforcement/security services/defence/etc the world over, for aeons; praised for their loyalty, intelligence, fearlessness, and *ultra-quick* learning capacity.
So, I would argue that, to him, they 'represented' Germany, and that their characteristics ^mentioned earlier^ were the definitive reasons he *preferred* them so much:
That's something completely different than "love", bc to feel love you have to be able to feel empathy, which was hardly the case with Adolf.
In conclusion, *yes,* I most definitely agree with the OP who quoted Kant's assertion:
*_"We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals."_*
Peace out... 😉
Animals are angels put on this planet earth

❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
To me it looked like she’s been on the streets for quite some time. I rescued a Shepard mix off the streets where I know that he’d been in a field for over a month and was 20-25 pounds under weight. Not as bad as her but she’s got a road ahead of her, once the medical gets resolved and she starts to feel better is where their mental and emotional behaviors start to show. From my own experiences I didn’t decompress mine enough before I threw him back into what I would call normal life. When they’re in fight or flight mode it takes time for their transformation.

This is the THIRD video of GSD's being mistreated or abandoned.
How could ANYONE abandon such a magnificent and beautiful creature?
It's remarkable how she's still so friendly and happy to see you even in that condition.
The fact that she is so affectionate and wanting the attention of people shows how resilient dogs are.
I totally agree ..I'm crying and as I do the thoughts that go through my head are all to find those responsible...
*It's remarkable and it makes me happy that despite the obvious neglect, she's still so positive and happy.*
OMG IT’S LIKE SHE’S BEEN SAYING - “THIS IS ALL I EVER HOPED FOR, WHY DIDN’T MY FAMILY LOVE ME?”
I don't understand how anyone can have a dog and then neglect and abuse them. It's unbelievable how cruel people can be. Thank you for all you do.
Best of luck in your search John and thanks for being a part of this community!
@@rockykanaka Thank you, sir, and the best to your entire crew.
Good luck my friend….you will be an amazing guardian ❤️❤️

Some prices do seem high. A rescue and shelters never recoup all the costs of vet care, food, vaccines, and spay/ neuter.
Thank you for being an amazing example of a kind human to this very sweet angel. Prayers for her along this journey
She's so pitiful. So sweet. And she seems to need love even more than food. Her little cries just break my heart.
Omg so sad she wants love so much
She's probably starving and just doesn't understand that she has to have small, frequent feeds to let her stomach get used to food again. If she eats too much, too fast, it will just come up or she will get sick.
It's beyond me how anyone can starve an animal or a child. Makes me so angry.
love more than food.
Oh that poor poor dog. 😢
Thank the Lord for your animal shelter.❤
My heart breaks for her. She's been treated so badly, but you can tell immediately that she still has so much love to give to the right person who loves her back
Macy’s crying absolutely broke me. If dogs could tell us their stories…..what things she would say.
German shepherd dogs are extremely vocal
@Buzy Mama she is telling us her story. You look @ this beautiful girl and know that her life's been very hard. Her soulful cries in Rocky's hands I think tells her story. We just can't understand what she is saying in our words. I found it very interesting IMHO that she only began crying after it seemed that she started to trust Rocky. Amazing dog, shelter,Staff,Mel, and of course Rocky! I wish Macie(Macy) a swift recovery to health, a loving forever family, and I wish that I could adopt her. Unfortunately I got old.

Really i wish people who are cruel to animals get what they deserve
Kudos to Mel for taking such tender care of Macy and all the dogs she grooms.
You have done such a beautiful thing in adopting a dog that everybody else had given up on 💚
I adopted a cat who was similarly unapproachable (although with cats it's less of a potential danger, in some ways).
Rescue pets just need to be accepted how they are, and given time...with patience and love they will find their way to trusting and loving again 🙏😌

in the air
and his eyes dark and fervent.
“Tell me you love me,” he says.
“Tell me again.”
Could there be a sweeter arrangement? Over and over

My Greta was born on the 4th of July, the only female in the litter, the only black pup and the smallest Her Mother refused to nurse her! My niece bottle fed her with goat milk for 5 weeks She is full blooded German Shepherd! When my brother called me and told me about her I said “she’s the one I want “ she is now 61/2yrs old and weighs 110lbs and sleeps by my bed EVERY night I Love This Girl we got her name off of Face Book Fraulien Greta no thing comes or go on this property without her permission 😢🙏🏼🤙🏻❤️😃 seeing this dog cry just breaks my heart please somebody adopt her I rescued my Greta and She has been rescuing me ever since I am 67 and live alone with Greta🤙🏻🙏🏼❤️
110 lbs. is hefty for a female, my pure bred male Shepherd, Julius, from a home breeder, was also runt of litter, grew to 110 lbs.
She weighed 118lbs a year ago
It's strange how your cameras can pick up all the details: EXCEPT for Mel's wings 😇.
She is a gift and blessing.
Aw, I love that. It's beautiful. And I agree she is someone special.
I watched this again 4 months later and Macy still breaks my heart. Is she still alive and has someone adopted her? It always amazes me when dogs that are that abused are so loving.
I hope you’ve seen her update, she made it and has a home!
Her tail immediately started to wag when you gave her the peanut butter cookie. You are a special person Rocky.
Merece serlo.
I’m sobbing as I hear her trying to tell her story. What a heartbreaking one. She’s quite a talker ! ❤
Thanks!
Thank you Kim 🤙
Mel is so tender hearted. What a lovely lady.
Thanks so much for everything you do, Rocky.. hoping for the best outcome for this sweet gentle soul.
She's so trusting, despite everything. I know she's hungry, but her tail wagging and she's still bouncing ❤❤❤❤
