I am so touched by this story . I hope Henry gets the home he deserves cause i don't think there 's a more gentle soul out there . After all he went trough he still has the trust of a young pup who never has been hurt!
_We found a stray pitbull mix wandering the neighborhood, He was a sly one, avoiding capture by us and animal control. The rest of my neighbors were afraid of him, (pitbull reputation) but I was convinced that he was a good dog. He is black and white with a big round spot in the middle of his back. We called him "Meatball". The short story is he came to visit us and we let him into the backyard, then we called AC. They came and got him and I gave the guy my card and told him if he didn't belong to someone else that we wanted him. We have had him for 6 years now and thank God we found him! He is a great big ball of love and affection without a wicked bone in his body!! I love Dogs!!!!!_
I’m a broken soul. I tried to watch like I always do but beyond sad today. My baby boy whom was 20 months old dropped and died today on a walk. He was the most beautiful Golden Retriever ever! We tried with all our might to revive him but it was congestive heart failure and nothing we could do 😭. This is so devastating and beyond heartbreaking 💔 I miss him every second!
Oh my goodness, that is so devastating! I am so, so sorry for you, Cindy! I have a 17 month old pup, and I just cannot imagine how you feel. I would be beyond forlorn. Your comment is from 10 days ago, so I know you are still reeling from the pain of your loss, but I’m sending you a hug and some prayers for healing 💛
Such a sweet, gentle boi. That little paw on the leg, asking for treats. I hope he finds a good home where he'll get to be pampered and loved like he deserves.
He looks just like my Ringo Star! 11 years old of diva, needy, talking, hair everywhere, spoiled brat. He is my world. Valley fever, epilepsy, and kidney failure cant stop him from getting his walks.
As a husky owner the huskies always get to me the most. This guy is a diamond in the rough for sure. I would sure love to see Henry after his skin has healed and his fur grown back. He will be glorious, I bet.
As a 6-time Husky owner, 3 of which were seniors, I completely concur! He will be the MOST amazing dog for someone. My Husky rescuer friend calls 5-6-7 yr olds "starter Huskies." Great for a first-time Husky parent. I'm so hoping for an update on Henry (...and a new name, frankly!)
i lost my beautiful rescued husky a few weeks ago, she was 14 and her coat was never ever like Henrys I am choked, I would take in a heart beat ,I am in the uk so I guess thats not happening , Please please give Henry sardines as his coat so needs them, go Henry xx
Henry is a sweet and gentle Husky. He might be a senior, but he's so nice. As soon as you're touching him for all the love to give, he's melting because he's so relaxed.
Last spring we adopted a shelter dog, a Siberian Husky. Elsa had a couple of failed adoption’s because she has so much energy! We find her energy is part of her charm. She’s so entertaining. She has separation anxiety, so is my husband’s shadow.
I’m watching this right now and I am in tears, I can’t help it, every time I watch your videos I break down crying because I am an extremely sensitive person - thank you so much for sharing your videos and everything you do for the dogs..
He acts like he knew love once in his life; but he lost that love somewhere along the line. He is so "needy" for love and cuddling and he's melting as you give him what he hasn't known in a long time.
He is so Awesome and Gentle and deserves a Loving "New" Home! The Groomer is Outstanding, Motherly and Very Caring towards the abused animals! Please work hard to get this Beauty Adopted, Rocky!🙏🐕🐕🐕💕💕💕
My last Husky only howled one time..... when an ambulance went by our car with sirens on.... never heard another howl, and he did not talk..... though I tried to encourage him to do both. He had a good run of 12+ years.
I always had warnings but never had an issue with mine. She will talk if I talk to her other than that easy to train easy to love. She does not like people touching her head except for a few people.
Beautiful Husky! I got a husky from a shelter she was so shut down when I first got her it took months for her to finally start comming around and now she is now so happy and healthy. She goes everywhere with me. The shelter named her Precious so I named her Preshi. I figured id keep the Presh part so the dog wouldnt get to confused. Rocky you're the best! What you and your wife are doing for these dogs is amazing! Keep up the great work!
Henry is going to be super beautiful once he’s in a loving home, with good food and proper attention, his coat will grow and he’ll be even more glorious than he already is!
This husky has gone through so much pain and suffering. You can easily tell he's known human love and care before, and yearns for it again. Husky is the most amazing breed of dog. They love people and people usually love them.
Aw man I love that mentality you have! Just like you can't make everyone like you, you can't sit with 8500 dogs per year; So you make each encounter as special as possible
You, "You are a GOOD BOY" ! Vous avez un don pour changer le moral des chiens, en quelques minutes vous rétablissez sa joie de vivre. Vous êtes un modèle à suivre pour remettre en forme aussi les humains en difficulté.
I live in Denmark and would welcome Henry into our home with a large yard in a flash. He's a wonderful, trusting dog. We've adopted another dog in the past.
It's so funny that the first name I thought of was Henry when you said that he needed a name. Henry changed significantly over the short period of time you spent with him. He looked so shut down and fearful when you first walked in. Now h look relaxed and confident thanks to you Rocky. Despite his coat issues Henry is a beautiful boy and anyone would be lucky to have such sweet dog. I'm in New York and currently in a facility myself but I would bring him home in a heartbeat!
For me to make that decision for him I'd have to observe his reaction to someone who said, "hay, that's my dog!" Would he be fearful or cower in a corner or romp around while wagging his tail. The dog would undoubtedly tell you everything you'd need to know. The owner could be put on probation as a condition, as well.
Huskys are food motivated. They are very pack (family oriented), smart, stubborn, loyal, and adore pats, hugs, and affection. He's not just hungry for food he's hungry for affection. Give him a chance and he'll make some family very happy.
I own a husky mix (pretty much a husky without the howling) and I get that people might underestimate a husky‘s energy. I wouldn’t be able to walk her by myself (3-4 hrs per day). But they are just the best dogs once you meet their needs.
I love Henry! His face is so expressive! He's got little "I don't know what to think about this" nose wrinkles, and "trying to figure this out" eyebrow furrows!
That is a typical Husky. They are always alert, very expressive, and full of Love. They will let you know when they want attention by touching you with their paw and a look. We have a two year old and the only thing wrong with her is the constant shedding. We accept that because she is so full of love and always entertaining.
How is Henry now? I so hope he has a family who adore him. I would have LOVED him so much but in UK & have a cat. Thank you for caring so much for all of these lovely poor souls, Ricky. Henri was transformed and felt loved in such a short time. Please give Henry my love and big kisses, Anna.
That boy could very well have thyroid problems. His coat looks typical, not saying he hasn’t been neglected also. Blood test would answer that. 👏🏻🙏 Thank you for highlighting him and all the work you put in. ❤❤❤
Rocky you get so excited when they take a treat from you. You’re so cute. I can say that cause I’m 72 years old. Your wife won’t get jealous believe me.😂
My landlord let my 12yo German Shepherd out. She was gone for 2 weeks. I got mono because I worked then spent my evenings and nights until after midnight looking for her and putting up flyers. Finally, she followed a little boy home and I was called. If she'd have been given to someone else I'd have died.. 😢
From his sad look when Rocky first entered his cage to the happy look on his face as he was getting scratches and pets is amazing. Thank you Rocky!! Mega tail wags!!
I would adopt Henry in a New York minute if I lived nearby. He is a real sweetheart. I confess that I've always felt that I would only want to adopt a puppy, but I've changed my mind thanks to you.
Beautiful face. His haunches are like that from having been sitting, laying on them all the time, hip problem is from that too. He was probably kept in a small dog cage a lot where he couldn’t get up and walk around.
There is a long-term responsibility associated with bringing a pet into your life. It is a commitment you make. They love you unconditionally, and are 100% dependent on you. It is not always convenient, easy or cheap. This, and many more of the situations you highlight, is shameful. What a sweet dog. I hope he finds a new, caring home.
@RockyKanaka you've opened my heart back up, I lost my best friend just over 2 years ago, It broke my heart, watching you spread the love to these pups, they come around so much from the love you show them - Thank you, you and Kelly are a special kind of people.
It's so sad to see a Husky like this. My family has two and they're goofy, energetic and happy. There shouldn't be a thing as a sad husky. Our oldest Husky, Candy, always scratches us with her paw when she wants cuddles. It's so sweet! So when he put his paw on your leg, it reminded me of that!
Thank you everyone for caring so kindly for Henry - thank you Mel for his grooming. And Above all thanks Rocky! I was so inspired with all the work you do that I just ordered a hoodie…can’t wait to show it off!!!

This dog is gorgeous. He has been neglected, fighting for his own life. Lack of nutrition; needs food with more fish oils & extra nutrients. Such a sweet dog. He just wants to be Loved. He kept trying to hold your hand. ❤
This poor dog is crushing me I'm crying it's breaking my heart 😢😮 poor baby omg thank God for people like you that take action and help saving lives and helping animals mend there hearts 💕 God bless you
An amazing Husky!! Since I've subscribed and became a huge fan of your channel Rocky, I've started going to the shelter & volunteering! I'm not allowed to have pets in my place, so I will be looking for a house in the spring!! That's how much you & your channel have inspired me. God bless your wife and you Rocky!!
And God bless you too for caring that much, love😅
Dogs are a great therapy for someone who suffers from anxiety and depression!❤❤
You're the best, Eddie!!
He needs to be the only pet in the home, a dental check, a hip check and LOTS of love for life.
I agree. The growl and lip lift shows that he was resource guarding Rocky (and perhaps the treats). Not a good fit for a home with a dog or cat.
No small kids either, he flinched when Rocky barely touched his lower back/hip area.
ROCKY YOU ROCK
I cant forget your beautiful wife. Shes the best. Thank you for what you do. I used to do this. Now am an old lady retired in Florida with knee replacements and hip. Cant get up without my service dog Alexander hes a german Shepherd. Thank you for being the younger generation that someone older can rely on.
Amen!!!
That is such a sweet comment! I agree. ❤ 🫂
I teared up. I am old too.
@@susanhawkes2519me too I’m 62 and I went to a shelter two county’s away from where I live ! I adopted a 3 year old Anna/ Annabelle she’s a pity and so sweet, we are together 24/7 . I’m home bound I have trust issues. She helps me to stay calm when I do go out. The difference she has made in me is more than a lot !
I am so touched by this story . I hope Henry gets the home he deserves cause i don't think there 's a more gentle soul out there . After all he went trough he still has the trust of a young pup who never has been hurt!
Thank you
Yvw Rocky it's true
He’s a sweetheart! He ended up looking so happy and was smiling. Thank you Rocky ❤ I love him!
He's so sweet and gentle taking the treats. His sadness is heartbreaking.
I’m so sorry 😞
Oh my goodness, that is so devastating! I am so, so sorry for you, Cindy! I have a 17 month old pup, and I just cannot imagine how you feel. I would be beyond forlorn.
Your comment is from 10 days ago, so I know you are still reeling from the pain of your loss, but I’m sending you a hug and some prayers for healing 💛
I’m so sorry.
Your heart will cry for a while. But soon you’ll open it up again to another fur baby. Take your time!
I’m so sorry!
This one has the most beautiful eyes of any dog I've ever seen. Just gorgeous. ❤️
As a husky owner the huskies always get to me the most. This guy is a diamond in the rough for sure. I would sure love to see Henry after his skin has healed and his fur grown back. He will be glorious, I bet.
Yeah i bet he will be pawperfect
I have such a soft spot for Huskies. I can’t handle the energy they need but I managed as a foster for a couple months.
I'm a husky owner too and wholeheartedly agree with you.
I love Rocky's faces. He could have been a silent movies STAR 🌟.
😆🤙
Huskies have the most expressive faces lol mine would give me the side eye so bad if I was uncooperative
@@lil.miscellaneousRocky is the human 🤣
@@joyful_tanya lol ha ha you’re right
@@lil.miscellaneous I thought it was funny! They do have expressive faces (and so does Rocky!) 😁
Henry needs to be placed in a new, loving, forever home. ❤
I absolutely love Huskys. They're gorgeous loving dogs.❤❤
Henry is a sweet and gentle Husky. He might be a senior, but he's so nice. As soon as you're touching him for all the love to give, he's melting because he's so relaxed.
You, sir, are an example of a wonderful compassionate human being.❤
Last spring we adopted a shelter dog, a Siberian Husky. Elsa had a couple of failed adoption’s because she has so much energy! We find her energy is part of her charm. She’s so entertaining. She has separation anxiety, so is my husband’s shadow.
I cry every time. Sad tears mostly. When they get adopted I still cry. But happy tears.
I’m watching this right now and I am in tears, I can’t help it, every time I watch your videos I break down crying because I am an extremely sensitive person - thank you so much for sharing your videos and everything you do for the dogs..
Aw I bet Rocky gave Henry the best day he’s had in a long time! We are all out here rooting for ya, Henry!!!
I’m so glad you were able to spend time with him. As soon as he started getting his head pet it looked like he started smiling instantly ☺️
As someone who has had a husky from a little ball of energy to an adult, this is the calmest I've ever seen of the breed.
Wow, half way through, Henry's sadness was turned into happiness.
I wouldnt take the water out. Just watch it. Also when the other dogs are barking and crying cant someone pet them. They are scared.
Thanks
People get Huskies because they are beautiful and don't realize how much energy they have and how much attention they need.
Never seen a quiet husky! He's a sweetie!
My last Husky only howled one time..... when an ambulance went by our car with sirens on.... never heard another howl, and he did not talk..... though I tried to encourage him to do both. He had a good run of 12+ years.
We have a very chill husky
I always had warnings
but never had an issue with mine. She will talk if I talk to her other than that easy to train easy to love. She does not like people touching her head except for a few people.
Huskies are actually quieter than most dogs.
Oh Rocky, I don't know how you all don't take them all home with you. 😢❤
Amazing
For me to make that decision for him I'd have to observe his reaction to someone who said, "hay, that's my dog!" Would he be fearful or cower in a corner or romp around while wagging his tail. The dog would undoubtedly tell you everything you'd need to know. The owner could be put on probation as a condition, as well.
I thought Henry 2 seconds before it was mentioned! (As an aside, Henry was my
Dad’s middle name.)
Henry is attached to you. He has chosen YOU. ❤
When Kelly said "Sundays got back to me. We're a go, I burst into tears. This boy's gonna be just fine
Hi Rose🌹
How are you doing?
I'm good, thanks.Yourself?@@georgemoore6662
Henry is amazing and you can feel his love for humans. He just needs that perfect family. ❤
Just watching your 'sitting with dogs' videos seem to make me a better person, I'm not even kidding. So thank you so much for what you are doing 🙏🙏
He’s just beautiful, so smart and well behaved
I have complete confidence Henry is going to be adopted by a wonderful family.
HES SOOOOO SWEET.☺️❤ I bet he was loved as a puppy. Then, when he was adult, they threw him out in backyard & no more love 😢😢😢
That boy could very well have thyroid problems. His coat looks typical, not saying he hasn’t been neglected also. Blood test would answer that. 👏🏻🙏 Thank you for highlighting him and all the work you put in. ❤❤❤
That’s a possibility. But may be a combination of poor nutrition , fleas, lack of grooming….
11:38 that spark of interest and excitement when he heard the words 'good boy', doggos have the purest of souls, x
Rocky you get so excited when they take a treat from you. You’re so cute. I can say that cause I’m 72 years old. Your wife won’t get jealous believe me.😂
Rocky, I love the fact that you and your team have unconditional positive regard for every animal!
So glad you got your buddy back! 💙 Greetings from Aus
From his sad look when Rocky first entered his cage to the happy look on his face as he was getting scratches and pets is amazing. Thank you Rocky!! Mega tail wags!!
If 1/100 subscribers have been inspired to rescue a dog from this channel, then that’s almost 50,000 dogs that have a home now. What an impact.
His demeanor and personality indicate that also.
Henry has the most gorgeous eyes. What a sweet boy. I hope someone gives him the loving home he deserves.
He's beautiful.
Henry is such a sweet, gentle, boy! He deserves a forever home with a family who will love him as much as he loves them!
Henry is so loving and loveable. Whoever adopts him is going to gain a wonderful animal buddy.
@RockyKanaka you've opened my heart back up, I lost my best friend just over 2 years ago, It broke my heart, watching you spread the love to these pups, they come around so much from the love you show them - Thank you, you and Kelly are a special kind of people.
Thank you. I know how hard that is. Still healing from Flip and Zoey passing this year
@@rockykanaka My George was a Nova Scotia Duck Toller and Husky cross ....so beautiful, and a shelter rescue I had for 15 years ..
Thanks for your uplifting contribution to dog and human society alike! Keep up the great work!
So adorable. Hopefully Henry gets adopted by a loving family soon ❤❤🙏🏻
Needs a fitting name!
Dogs are so amazing . They can be abused, starved, etc., but are so willing to try to trust and love again. Do we deserve dogs?
some people really don't
Henry will definitely rebound. He is pretty and affectionate. His hips are bad, but he will rebound if he finds a loving human to take care of him.
My heart yearns for Henry to have a loving home, a person or family that pours love and attention on him every day. He is such a sweetheart.
Oh my gosh Rocky I LOVE Henry!!! When I was a little girl we had a husky named Lobo and he was my best friend and he was so handsome! I remember one time it had snowed and my Dad putme and my brother on our sled and tied Lobo to it to pull us and after a block Lobo was on the sled with us and my Dad pulled all of us lol. I want Henry so bad! PLEASE give Henry a hug from me ❤
