Just a small update, the art at the start and compilation of assets weren't meant to attack the game. More just give the devs constructive criticism so they can improve the game. Obviously doesn't go for review bombs / people refunding.

Thanks for another *HUGE DRAMA* vid, Pyro.
Garten of banban feels like a game based on the sketches you would find in a fnaf fan's math notebook.
As a fnaf fan I can confirm that statement.
Funny considering i have a friend who is a fnaf fan,he literally all the time draws golden Freddy,or at least tries to.
that game would actually have an ounce of passion so no
"Fan" implies there is passion behind it, something which from what I can tell is completely lacking in Banban (unless you count passion for money, which there probably is more than enough of). And honestly, you underestimate FNaF fans.
I just got flashbacks
You know you failed as a horror game when even Pyro doesn't get scared let alone unclip a part of his headphone. Pyro is like the tutorial for a horror game to successfully scare people while Moistcritikal is like the final boss. What's even the point of a horror game if the TV Furry man can't even get scared
except as pyro said, games stop being scary if you unclip part of the headphone, whereas moistcritikal only ever plays with one earbud in.

The best possible path forward for the Garten of Banban team is to play on how bad it is. Really lean into to ironic humor aspect and turn that weakness into a strength. Scenes like Banban(Woman) being flattened into a PNG before being yoinked into the ceiling were hilarious and I’d absolutely play the third game if they had more of that.
Totally, they've hit the jackpot by having so many eyes on their game, good or bad. They're in a great position to capitalize on it.
Yeah, It's got a similar vibe to Baldi's basics. A game so janky and unusual, but unlike Banban the difference is it's self aware and deliberately plays into the irony. It's funny but at the same time the empty nature of the game and its lack of polish captures a unique vive and makes aspects of it unexpectedly disturbing.
@@malicioususer1837 and baldi actually slightly does its job as a horror game
I honestly thought it was a self-aware game in the beginning, seeing how awful it was gameplay-wise UNTIL THE BIRD. Like many of the comments here are saying, I felt viscerally disturbed by Opila bird in the same way Baldi did. It was a shame that most people looked over its uniqueness as an enemy ai (and also the footsteps coming up the wall suggesting its relentlessness)
A lot of people thought it was meant to be satire, they could've just pretended that was their intention

People need to separate the art from the artist. Sending death threats and doxxing devs just because you don't like their game is borderline targeted harassment no matter how much you sugarcoat it.I do hope the brothers learn from this and make better games. Remember, even Scott, the FNAF dev was criticized too, but he learned and then move on to make FNAF.
Until someone dug their nose into his business and doxxed him because politics are a thing.
@@twister107 which was the biggest example of the insanity of people...
Scott didn't even learn from his criticism, he just took what people said and made it. People said the characters in his Christian games looked like creepy animatronic mascots and decided he'd just make one last game about that, and then it popped off
it's not borderline, it's criminal behavior. First world people really have nothing going on with their lives to gang up on a shitty game that much. Specially when there's a myriad of shitty games on steam
It’s not even separating art from artist, it’s just not being a completely terrible person.
I think the real problem is that the devs can't take criticism. No matter what you say, they're not gonna listen, or worse, treat you as a villain. There was no hope for improvement in the first place, which probably explains why people are completely dunking on them. What else can they do? It's not like they'll actually *learn* from it.
Then again, the amount of hate was too much...
People aren't entitled to the devs accepting their criticisms. I think it takes a narcissistic type of person to think like that which Twitter does have a lot of.
@@xddude People are not entitled to have their criticism heard, but if the devs want people to like their game, they need to make a game people will LIKE. That means listening to criticism and adapting accordingly.
I mean 99% of the "threats" they are running away from Twitter from are just pointing out the game sucks.
I mean, imagine for a second you release a drawing of a fan character you like. You get pinged twice every minute, someone trashing your drawing. You've gotten the point after the first three people told you your drawing is bad.
Now imagine you have a thousand people telling you that your drawing is bad. You can be making breakfast, you're getting coffee, you check your email- it's the same thing. Someone shitting on your drawing.
I'd delete my Twitter too.
@@cryppi1510 I mean twitter is a cesspool in general, so it's not that big of a surprise. that aside, from what I usually see(so it's not exactly representative of anything), people who have 'bad drawings' do get criticism but if they accept the criticism others will tweet resources(websites, videos, etc) to help them get better. but if they respond badly they get dunked on. that's just personal anecdotes, though.
I used blender for a class in school- and I’m convinced that the brothers don’t know how blender works and how you’re able to smooth out models. You don’t need 100000 polygons for a single model just to make it smooth 😭

The reason assets sometimes have so many polygons is actually because they take the asset from the store and don't realize it's meant to be used for photorealistic renders. Then they often will run a filter to lower the quality if the asset is too heavy. That's what happened with the high polygon assets in Yandere Sim too.
Refunding short games is an issue that happens quite a bit. Iron Lung has the same problem which is also priced the same as Garten of BanBan 2 and is about the same runtime (though is actually a good game, unlike the former).
Maybe having a different policy for especially short games would be beneficial. Maybe a one hour refund time instead of 2 for games that are shorter than 3 hours.
The difference is that the chapter in banban is designed to be just barely over two hours if you don't know what you're doing.
This game literally tries to waste as much time as possible. I'll never understand how the main mechanic is a drone that presses giant buttons that you can reach yourself. They don't deserve the hate but the game is bad enough to warrant a refund.
@@HeavyhandedDame People new after the first free game that Part 2 wouldn't get any better. Best thing people can do is literally just not buy it. Because buying it with the intent to play and refund it is shitty.

Speaking as a single Indie Developer, part of me can't blame the developers for trying to make a Mascot Horror game. From my experience I have developed a couple of games that while have gotten a few Let's Plays here and there, and even gotten so many people saying they really love my games and like to see expand on them more. Issue is despite how good my games that others claim, they barely get much attention I need to really put any focus on developing. And that is an issue that a lot of developers face, if your game does not fallow a current popular trend it is gonna not get much attention, so for many devs and even ones trying to start out they are gonna just try and fallow the trend and many won't really try to see if they can be creative with their concept cause trends do die out pretty fast, so if you don't release the game soon then it miss the opportunity to get grabbed.
I wish you success man.
@@Spoopy_man thanks
I think the only issue is that it has...pretty much nothing else-
This doesn't really apply to them tho. The entire thing was made in order to generate as much traction as quickly as possible. It gives major "I did it for money" vibes. It doesn't help that the 2nd chapter is a mess from top to bottom. It's a poorly optimized game with a poor quality designs, passable at best VA that is filled with lazily designed puzzles and tries to waste as much time as possible in order to dodge possible refund and/or make an impression that the game is filled with content.
@@kolbayada4938 It kind of does really, like I do agree lots of this game really feels lazy and in many cases the game lacks any soul to it. But again what got them here still might be do to the issues most indie devs like myself face. Looking at the devs other games before BanBan they did seem to have actually tried to make some interesting games, but seems like they suffer the issue of not getting any attention on what they made, so they just threw up their hands and say F-it and just make a quick Mascot Horror game in hopes that somehow it gets caught in the trend. I don't agree with the direction they took and how they are doing it, but at the same time I can't blame them on why they ended up taking this path.
3:23 fun fact; that song is made by the Poppy Playtime devs! Another fun fact; the owner of Poppy Playtime said on Twitter that it would be okay to diddle a fictional dead child, because, despite the fact that they’re dead, they are still able to age and would be 18 by now. Final fun fact; the first sign that the creator wanted to diddle the child was subtle, but in 2017, long before the tweet in 2021-2022, meaning that, even if the tweet was correct, the creator was attracted to that child well before she was eighteen, making animations of them in sexual poses in videos targeted toward other kids. Did I mention that he wanted to screw a character from a Minecraft FNaF animation! Because he, indeed, wanted to screw a character from a Minecraft FNaF animation…that he created…as a music video for another creator.

That Poppy game was even worse. “Lore” of the game hidden behind a NFT pay wall. Preying on kids with bloody NFTs. 🤦♀️
i strongly believe that no one should be harrassed or doxxed on the internet, including the 2 brothers. Not only is it morally wrong, but it also does nothing to solve the problem. as pyro said, "there's a thousand mascot games every second, ban ban is just the only one unfortunate to get popular." There are hundreds of other mascot horror games, all equally worthy of the same criticisms, so why specifically harass 2 devs?
...BUT, at the same time i still believe that they deserved to be criticized for their character and behavior as devs. They have shown themselves to be extremely avoidant of criticism pointed at their game, and they literally had a merch store the second they could get the chance, with the merch quality being... questionable at best, and this to me seems ignorant at best, to greedy at worst. so no, i don't think the devs deserve to be harassed, including their families, but their behavior is questionable and deserves to be pointed out to them.
the 2 devs are babies as well since they demand 5 dollars for a shitty half baked game in which half the assets are taken from a model store and then complain on twitter that people are refunding their game
They exaggerated the "threats" as an excuse to hide from criticism.
This is a common tactic for people who create trash.
(See the actors/directors of the newer SW movies and the idiots responsible for Ring of Power)
They weren't unfortunate for their game getting popular, yes I know, no one should be harrassed or sent death threats. But a majority of people who are critising, harassing them is all because of their attitude and behaviour. It was their doing for making the community mad. If it was another game, with developers more mature and willing to improve, I'm sure lesser death threats would be seen.

You see, the developers of Poppy Playtime, the game with that tall blue guy, have an animation studio. They specialize in Minecraft animations using characters from internet trends such as Among Us, Friday Night Funkin, pretty much every indie horror game, etc.
The song is from one of their videos, Poppy Playtime vs Garten of Banban. It's a song sung by Jumbo Josh to Huggy Wuggy, the tall blue guy.
That's right, the people who made the song about how bad indie horror has become is made by the same people behind one of the biggest indie horror games at the moment.
The "Bruh" sound effect is also from that same video.
I highly recommend looking into Mob Entertainment and ZAMination. It's a wild rabbit hole. It's almost Elsagate tier.
One thing I still like about mascot horror is the uncanny valley/liminal space feeling. It's something that the first FNaF game did very well, and then not so much in the later games.
I think the GoB games do have uncanny character designs, something about that bug-eyed pink bird is kinda creepy. And the rainbow hallways in the 2nd game are good liminal spaces.
That's just my opinion. There's still a lot of problems with the games so far, but they have potential. Maybe someone could remaster/remake them to fix their jankiness.

Crazy that Pyro has taken over as the lead director for the development of Garten of Banban Part 3. Best of luck to him, as game development is very hard.
Congrats to pyro for summarizing 2-3 sentences to a 9 minute video
So proud of Pyro for being able to manifest the most garbage comment section ever.
good demo man pfp.
I have to give the developers props for one thing at least: I really felt like I WAS the Banban in game. Total immersion.
I can't believe that Pyro was allowed to preach about his inflation fetish in front of kindergarten students, well done Pyro!
vile ass comment lmao
You know,I think these slander comments should be allowed but under Pyro's clickbait thumbnails because seriously, when will he stop doing this?
@@xxsegaxx Slander?
@@snkybrki i dont get it
@@cobaltqueenston Neither do I. Don't see any slander in the above comment.
7:03 This is the one time Pyro isn't going to talk about the hidden replies.
I personally didn’t think the Garten of Banban chapter 1 + 2 games were that bad. Not like bad-BAD games that you could find in phone apps or shady websites but bad-yet hilarious games like CDI games. Regardless of what people expectations in video games, they should never result to violence or harassment in any possible way.
I’m not going to be the person to say that this game have some good traits or whatever, but I rather just share sympathy to a game that tries to be a good game in the end, under the developers intended way.
They feel like projects made by beginner game devs, and i kind of believe they're just teenagers or young kids trying their hand at game development. I could be wrong but part of me wants to believe they aren't being scummy or cheap but instead are just beginners to game dev
@@NicoNicoNessieSub idk how up to date their site is but the older brother says hes a first year college student meaning hes only about 18 and other is younger no idea how younger but the idea of teenagers trying their hand doesn't seem too far off
@@NicoNicoNessieSub they've made multiple games in the past, and this ain't even their first 3D game. This is 100% a cash grab and not some new game devs making a shitty game. Is the harassment warranted? No. But that doesn't mean this isn't a bad cash-grabby game
6:51 ME CAMEO 🤤🤤
He cameo
You cameo
I can't believe Pyro playing Garten of BabBan killed the entire game studio.
Combining Pyrocinical, Pyro, Drama and Huge is not the best combination of words
3:28 this is from one of enchantedmob's animations, where huggy got depressed due to the oversaturated market, and jumbo josh sings the song to cheer huggy up
the "brah" sound effect is another enchantedmob thing regarding jumbo josh, in their animation he constantly says it
I feel like Garten of Banban is a game that gets freakier the further you go (like Bendy I guess), which is very evident when you meet Zolphius for the first time and in the third game Tamataki & Chamataki.
Maybe they’ve been trying or unintentionally lowering our defences with monsters that aren’t very scary early on kinda like FNaF 3 and 4, but I think they’re working their way to a Happy Game kind of horror that I really hope we get to see.
Regardless of whether or not they’re trying to edge towards unspeakable horrors the games are technically children’s horror games and children do like them, they’re not as scary as Poppy Playtime so it’s nice and beginner friendly… probably won’t stay that way tho… Tamataki & Chamataki even unsettled me a bit.
love your content watching for a while and keep on the grind man
Damn you made me jump so high with that jumpscare , i'm shaking so much

*Nervous sweating for fear of possible drama against me*
My take on the Garten of Banban stuff is that it's kinda stupid for people to hate on it so much (apparently to the point of harassing the devs).
Like, sure it follows common mascot horror tropes, but the problem is that there's no incentive to create unique horror games in the first place. If people show themselves willing to play horror games containing the exact same tropes over and over again, regardless of how glitched or buggy it might be (so for example, FnaF Security Breach or Hello Neighbor), and then proceed to not showcase truly unique or interesting horror experiences, then there's no longer a reason to create a horror game that's actually different for once, because it's almost guaranteed to be a failure. On the other hand, creating a horror game with common, overused tropes seems like a great idea, because people are willing to buy and play it.
Disclaimer: I haven't really played any of these games (mostly because I don't have the means to play them), so I can't really speak on their quality. It's mostly based on what I've seen other people talking about or commenting on.
Pyro finally evolved, now it’s “Drama is Huge” instead of “Huge Drama” what amazing titles will his vocabulary come up with next?
"The pyrocynical drama is huge" ( Huge furry drama)
4:11 there's two difference, they removed the paranoic and made it darker
1:20 I DO THE SAAAME LMAOOOOO
5:25 someone on twi- eh?
Pyros dad has finally quit being in jail, truly inspirational
shut up
True
How do you guys come up with pyro quips 10 secs after a video is published
@@gugtons7357 They don't come up with it
True
Pyro is such a youtuber tbh
Ok the funny thing about that mod that changes the steps and title music? the audio comes from an enchanted mobs video, the people who make poppy
they had literally made the animation almost like a self aware jab at themselves and other games in the genre
that how to make fnaf not scary clip set me back 8 years
awesome !!!! pyro being considerate by covering “Garten of Bannan”
Thank you for covering garten of banan
The amount of Huge Drama that Pyro is finding is Insane, and It Keeps Getting Worse...
Out of curiosity, where can I find the full version of the "Rainbow Connection" parody?
Can't believe Pyro was able to fit all those bananas inside himself
What the actual fuck
garden of bananas
Ayo?
Ok this too far guys
@@Astro_Error A comment above talks about him preaching his fetish to kindergarten children. You don't know what too far is in this comment section.
I'm no fan of Garten of Banban but it's really stupid and immature to harass and make threats to the creators!
yeah that was an asshole move
Out of all the models to show off, of course Pyro uses “fat Mario model” as an example
4:40 i thought that was it was a textured bowtie, not the navmesh of one...
Pyro We're so sorry to hear that your favorite game, garten of banban got cancelled, you must be devastated
Me when Pyro slightly changed his "huge drama" titles
"Daring today aren't we?"
The scariest jumpscare ever was when Pyro clicked on the Pyro class in that stream
You can’t tricks us Pyro, we all know your TV head fursona is still Foxy lol.
I think pyro’s vocabulary is limited to “drama”, “epic” and “huge”
Funny how the green dude has that many polygons and still looks like it came from a kids game from 1998
I feel like I’m searching for the word huge and drama in these titles now
Garten of banban trying not to be boring challenge: IMPOSSIBLE
I liked the game just for the movement of the bird thing in the first one. It was unique and honestly pretty creepy how it inspected you before charging. Plus I’m a simp for the demon appearing around the corner thing that’s arguably over done in video games
Remember, the remote alone has more polygons than the entirety of mario 64
You know this is the first time I've seen Pyro in several years, like I remember last watching him when I was around 12. Feeling really nostalgic rn back when I was but a child.
Garten of Bannan moment
this is truly one of the hugest dramas ever
I was so used to the old foxy pfp that I didn’t even realize this was a pyrocynical channel
