Hey Madlittlepixel i like your video and I have question is you can help me ouy.
Out
Any reason why we shouldnt buy it on the actual website of abernic….. and is this website ligit and does it have all the games in it
@@hovitostyle2211 i dont care where anyone buys it honestly, but the link is where I got it. And yeah if you get the 64gb one from them its the same setup ive shown.
Yea i ordered one and looks like they sent me one with nothing preinstalled and not the plus 64 gigs. I got charged for the 64 gig. Was really looking forward to this smh.
I love it, have the transparent black one, play store installed, everything sorted out, rooted, magisk etc .. all setup & tweaked on the Android side & on the Linux side I have Jelos running 🙂 Great video
I've noticed sometimes you can get some extra performance by turning things off like auto save state and rewind in some of these. Nobody ever said anything to me about this! :D
Nice SouljaDeck Ron 😏😂🤣🙃
I have the RG351P and love it and use it regularly still. I won't upgrade until a system comes around that can do PS2/GameCube for under $200. I'm sure I'll be waiting a while, but until then I'm very happy with what I have. To be able to play Arcade Games, Neo Geo, SNES, Genesis, PC Engine, NES, Sega CD, 32X, PS1 all on the go is more than enough :).
@CrypticGamer I'll look into that. Thanks!
oof... Having a beefy 5 layer burrito with fire sauce just as you mention "bloody stools."
Good luck!
🤣
Nice review Ron!
The RG353P is hands down Anbernic's best handheld at the moment! Better than the RG503 and the RG552. I've installed the 1TB micro sd card on the adding roms side and finished filling it with TV shows, music tracks and movies. Love the KODI media player feature, the booming stereo speakers, the mini HDMI out, 4:3 aspect ratio display, Emulec stock firmware is awesome, the overall design of the console. I play lots of Sega CD "Wheel Of Fortune," on my RG353P as well as on my RGB10 Max 2. All I needed was the Linux side of the RG353P, I've never used the Android side. I got the transparent black but I plan to get the USA SNES version as well. Love both color schemes. I'm going to also attempt to have another 1TB micro sd card for the firmware slot as well!
The best handheld is Valve's Steam Deck.
@@aztekno2012 I don't have the Steam Deck, but I do have the Win600. Just got it today.
This handheld is awesome. I'm using JELOS custom firmware, and everything but PSP runs flawless. DS compatibility is a game changer, all of that and still is pocketable (it is smaller than a PS Vita). I'm playing a lot Hyper Street Fighter 2 on CPS 2 and I'm revisiting gran turismo 2 and mario kart DS. Tons of fun.
@@estradasvirtuais2105 I agree, it's a phenomenal handheld! When I'm done upgrading my sd cards I'll have close to 2TB of storage on mine. I can then add more media content and even more rom libraries if need be.
@@estradasvirtuais2105 Which color did you get? Also, is the RG353P your new most favorite handheld?
Even though I have a 256GB Steam Deck with a 512GB SD card I am still very tempted to get one of these devices as well because despite the portable nature of the Steam Deck I could go for something a bit more portable and a little less valuable looking when I'm out and about (and considering I don't drive I have a fair lot of down time when I"m out and about)
Steam deck is to big...it's definitely not portable for my usage.
I just received this one. I’ve been wanting to buy an Anbernic but kept waiting to see what comes out next. I like the form factor and the 4:3 aspect ratio. Im ok with it not being that powerful, just need to play some retro games on the go.
Cool, yeah as long as you know what to expect out of it not too much to complain about other than maybe price lol
Do you know if it can play PS2 games?
@@dalekemperor1505 I don’t think so. Dremcast games struggle with the cut scenes and audio can get bad but is playable. Even if it did I can only imagine the difficulties with PS2.
@@alexflores_91 ok, any recommendations for a system that can emulate PS2 and GameCube games well?
@Dalek
Look into the Odin Lite.
I'm convinced the only hope we have is that a Mister Comes out with a Handheld. And we all know it!!!
You should make a review of the GameForce Chi, pretty cool device!
I'd like to see if the touch screen works well with things like Duck Hunt or Area 51
Madlittlepixel is fighting the power and eating whatever he wants.
Love mine, but it's just not quite there, I would love to see a version 2 with some more power to top off PSP compatibility. Maybe even an even better battery, it's not at all heavy, so if they can cram in just a little extra, I don't think it would be a weight issue.
Since the rockchip 3366 handhelds...i think anything is good enough. So many many systems play so well. Now you just need to look for does it have hdmi out, how do the uttons feel...but power wise im very happy. This is a good device but i dont care for the touch screen. Thought its good for NDS games like Zelda that require touch
Thanks for the review, I'm about to get one of these for my upcoming b-day, have they updated the firmware or made any software improvements since then?
Are games already included or do you have to install them yourself?
I dig the SNES style casing.
I've been contemplating on getting this thing for a month now. I think for $150 I might have to wait..
I still like my RG351V. It would be nice when they launch the latest and greatest to have a vertical option to go with the choices.
I bet they will. RG351V is the most sold product they have according to their own site. They will load this form-factor with the new chipset soon I believe.
How does saving games work? Do you have to restart every time you power it on.
I like it.. I'm running code veronica x and all re classic games that why I got it.. works fine..
great review - still waiting for the system that can run N64 without issues ;-)
retroid pocket 2 is probably the best contender for under 100 dollars but you will need to spend some time setting it up as it isn't a out of the box experience.
@@tomk3682 thank you :)
Thanks.
The amizon fier tablet 10 hd 11th gen i got for emulater its so fast dremcast is amzing it was one 65£ in box
Anbernic:Another one
Does it have Bluetooth for earbuds
how does it handle the 2k series from dreamcast
Looks good except the sticks, not a fan either.thanks for the review 👍
Can touch screen let you play lethal enforcers?
Whats is really happenig at 5:40 ?
Guts up!!
miyoo mini still king of emulation handheld i dont think anything wll ever beat it tbh handheld emulation should only go up to ps1 period tbh anything after that just buy the console itself
I love my miyoo mini !!!!
To be honest, for me, I just want a 20 min blast of retro games on a daily basis. The mini is perfect for me.
I see all these devices come out and I just cant justify paying even £100 for something I am going to be using for about 2 hours a week.
My mini was £55 and for that price, it cant be beat for my needs.
Is it better than the RG351MP?
Does it have ps1 eihander?
What is he playing at 4:32?
I dunno, for close to 1/2 the price of a steam deck... I will just wait for the Steam deck. I would buy this for $89 to keep at the bedstand for night time playing.
Id rather just have all the 8 and 16bit systems works great, maybe PS1 but anything after that is always iffy on emulation, I dont care what anyone says. Some games do work OK but I remember playing a 3-D MK in a PS2 emu on my PC years ago and it did not like it at all! Framerate was in the single digits. Now this was my older PC in 2012.
The community have made major leap forward improvement on all type of emulation systems over the years , specifically recent on ps2, ps3 and others....
Can it run gamecube?
The price is worth it for the RG353P!
Agreed!
What do you think ist the best possible Option. A modded PSP or PS Vita. Steam Deck or a Modded Switch?
A modded ps Vita for sure!!
Make sure on these devices you log into RetroAchievements so you can earn achievements on all your favorite old games!
One thing I had to do with my RG353P is erase all Saturn roms, they tend to freeze up and glitch up the handheld when opened.
Did you try using another memory card, like Samsung or San Disk. Usually the generic sd cards have issues down the line.
@@wolffactor56 Well, I used a Sandisk sd card. Anyways, it's no problem because I don't have any favorite Saturn games and don't really need Saturn.
What console would you say is the best one you have used so far?? There is way to many out there haha😅
The Steam Deck :P
What would be the best handheld for retrogaming according to you?
This is a fantastic little device. It has Bluetooth so you can pair a few controllers to it, take this over to a buddy's house, plug it in to the TV via HDMI, and next thing you know you and your friends are having a blast playing Mario Kart 64, WWF No Mercy, and countless other multiplayer games while getting wasted on some Ass Clown brewskis.
How did you get Mario Kart 64? Mine didnt come with it.
@@senorcrypto6136 Oh, you must've got the weak version. I got the ultimate one.
I'm convinced this is why we have a worldwide chip shortage...from all of these Chinese emulation portables...
There is no chip shortage now that bitcoin/blockchain crashed.
@@FOREVERSHAMEDONLINE Hmmmm…chips…
It's because Americans can't build there own Chips? Lol
@@BEED0GG Bruh there's probably more Americans that enjoy smelling their own farts than people who could build a chip. People over here are legit "slow" and lazy!
Recycling or lack of it is a major contributor. Working in the IT sector where tech becomes obsolete in 5 to 10 years, I have seen all these old IBM, Windows 95 workstations, PC, what nots and even stuff from the 80's I can't put a name on lying unused in the storerooms and data centers collecting dust not being recycled.
Seems ok. I am not a computer guy and fairly poor, so this is a reasonable option instead of the steam deck as nice as it may be. Also a huge system that may be 1-2 lbs. is a little heavy for me to hold for 20 minutes to an hour. Then there's the other items in my back pack like bottled water a fan etc. which all adds weight and bulk especially in the summer.
I really wish some new Soja Game
This thing is a bit expensive but that's about my only complaint based on the reviews I've seen. i only care about up to ps1 on a device like this.
Can it play PS2?
I like it a lot- just a bit too expensive. This would make a nice a 89.99 handheld but alas…
Any Saturn games playable?
Interested in the answer to this.
Retro Game Corps gives example of Saturn running with amber elec.
Maybe it's just the stock firmware, but when I tried to run a Saturn game on my RG353P it crashed the system. Controls didn't respond as well, I had to hit the reset button to get out of the freeze.
I'm not interested in the answer to this. Please ask another question.
The PocketGo S30 is still a better product, even though its much older.
🤣😂
One day they will get it right.
No they won't
They have had years of practice. I say they'll never get it right!🤔
A psp can play them systems well for £30
LOL! You're not getting a PSP for £30. On eBay if you pay attention, that price only gets you THE CHARGER. You're gonna need £116.40 just to get a PSP in GOOD condition.
@@Cyko.. I’ve bought many psps for £30
those "buttcheeks" aren't for grip, theyre for putting down the system on hard surfaces without scratching up the casing
The android side handles N64, Dreamcast, Saturn and DS better
DOOD! There is too much tech today.
Your mom's vibe ... haha.
the new Anbernic hanhelds became crazy expensive
i remeber I ordered RG351P for about 90$ shipped
this new one cost about 150$ !
So... this box is about as capable as the nVidia shield portable from 2013. But with a worse screen, worse controls, and probably worse sound.
I have never had bad shits from eating Taco Bell
Would have bought straight away.... but 170.... WOW.... no...
I am paranoid that those Chinese units might be cut with Fentanyl, so...
Heh
For goodness sake, will there ever be a retro handheld that plays all PS1 and N64 games flawlessly?? There's always these negative caveats.
Wow Taco Bell ? Thanks for the 🤮facts
