I really like how you chose to diversify your reviews. Great device for me to learn from while making my own device
what to say as always a really good review. keep up the good work. greetings from germany
I also started out with the GP32. I lived in the UK at the time, and I had to import it from South Korea.
I ended up selling it when I got a DS and started running emulators on it, but I really regret it now. They are quite rare, so I can't justify the rather high price they tend to fetch nowadays just for the sake of putting it on a shelf lol
I just ordered mine on Amazon, there was a PRIME seller that was selling it for 160, was totally expecting scalper prices on this thing from Amazon, especially prime, so I pounced on it. I had the RG350M which I did love but OpenDingux was frustrating and the ADAM variant rom was only OK. Also that console hurt to play for a long time since it was too heavy and too boxy. BUT THAT screen was great and made it so I'd never want to play on anything less than 640x480.
I love mine, I run JELOS os mostly. My only complaint is the touch screen doesn't work in linux. Otherwise its great!
The only thing I want to know before I buy the rg353p is if I get the extra 64 gb sd card will it still include the original 16 gb one, also are both the sd cards the same just with more games or do they have a couple more different things with them?
Yes, 16GB one with Linux comes with every device. Only 64GB one has games.
@@Robtech thank you for the info
I'm surprised to see someone else out there who had a GamePark handheld, my very first retro handheld was a GPH Caanoo.
The good old days hanging out on the GP32x forums 👌
Yes gp32x f1 was a blast
Will it play UMK3 arcade. And can it run killer instinct 1 mame
How is the save file? Is really important to save the progress
please, what is the last dreamcast game show in the video? (a robot). Thanks!
Cyber Troopers Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram
GPH (Gamepark Holdings) needs to make a comeback! They would be kings in today's handheld gaming climate.
IIRC, GPH was surprised to find out that the popularity of the handheld outside of Korea was due to western developers making emulators for it 😉
Still have my GP2x F200, havent used it since the ipad mini came out though.
I ordered mine off eBay and got it in 3 days and haven’t put it down since. I love it. How do I play some of the emulators on Android side?
Once you boot into Android there are a bunch of emulators preinstalled. To get others you'll need to download some APKs and install them.
@@Robtech ok. Another question, will I be able to play the games on the SD card in Android?
@@dejacreacts4964 Yes, the second slot storage card will be detected.
Does resident evil code Veronica x run good on this? I've seen it run well in other videos but want to hear what your take is on it since you have this little device?
I'll test it when I get a chance and link a video for you
It's a 30fps game, so pretty much runs full speed ruclips.net/video/O6kGa9joEgI/видео.html. Apologies for the poor playthrough, I haven't played Code Veronica before and I didn't know what the controls were 😅
Does game streaming work? I'd like to know if Steam Link works on this handheld
You can do it with Moonlight, but considering the screen you'd be better off with a Retro Pocket 3 for widescreen.
can I add 2 bluetooth controllers to it while playing on tv?
In Android yes, but there's no Bluetooth support in Linux www.reddit.com/r/ANBERNIC/comments/wc7wwl/can_you_connect_two_bluetooth_8bitdo_controllers/
Wish these things allowed local multiplayer somehow, like with a cable or some thing idk 🤷♂️
You can set it to do local multiplayer wirelessly
@@Robtech you can do it wired as well .... just get a USB hub
What capcom vs marvel do you have? And what system?
CPS1 to 3 works fine on this handheld
@@Robtech awesome! Thanks!
why noone gives shit about cloud gaming on these device but everyone doing the same review for old games..there are also lots of android games that can be tested which noone did on this device yet..(real racing 3, asphalt 8, gangstar vegas, etc).. bunch of old 30 yo guys doing the same thing:/
no one wants your mobile games bro
I have no interest in tinkering….don’t even want to add games. Just want to boot up and play. This looks great but the small 3.5 screen may be a deal breaker for me.
The screen is perfect for these games !
They have sold hundreds of thousands of these so you not buying one isn't hurting them at all.
It’s no good. This video 8 months old. I got one. And in 2 months it’s stuck on a he android and will not go back to Linux.
Check the SD card. Reflash the Linux OS if it doesn't work. Doesn't mean there's a problem with the handheld. Most likely an SD card issue.
this device isn't more powerful than a Retroid Pocket 2+ , due to that it's really not worth it. But it looks cool though.
The RP2+ has that garbage layout and slide joystick, though
@@colbyboucher6391 RP3 out now
I’ve got both, and this Anbernic is VERY comfortable for extended play. The same definitely can’t be said for the RP2+. I can’t play the RP2+ for any more than 25-30 minutes.
@@Diggsiii Indeed, but it's quite a bit bigger which is... not really what I was looking for
@@Diggsiii Screen aspect ratio and comfort in your hands is definitely better on the anbernic
