start and select buttons BELONG on the front of the device, the amount of games where you need to press them a lot means that if they are ever elsewhere on the device it makes the action an ABSOLUTE CHORE.
I also really like the pads on the back, much better than if it was just bare in my opinion. Function over form is always better.

But I don't care if they're back in your good graces, any company that blacklists reviewers will never get a dime from me, especially when there's better competition at better prices. I have Steam Deck, that is my PRIMARY emulation device. I do have Miyoo Mini for when I need to go someplace where a big Steam Deck won't fit, and the deck is NOT pocketable. The problem with the Mini is it's very limited on what it can play, my Vita was much more powerful. This looks like exactly what I am looking for, a device around the size of the mini but, much more powerful, that I can drop in my pocket on the go...
I'll admit one feature I love on the Mini with Onion OS installed. No matter what I am playing, if I need to stop, I can hit the power button, it takes a Save State and shut down the device, so when I start up the console again, and play the same game, it's exactly where I left it. Amazing feature, I need every portable to act like this.
The ONLY thing I got to figure out is how to sync saves between devices... that would be epic... Play a SNES game on a device, switch over to the deck and I am exactly where I was....

I understand the metal frame and a couple things that make it your preference, but why pay the same price as an RP3+? It can easily pull the PSP performance over this one, and dip into moderate GC/PS2, game streaming, and android gaming. Not trying to be a naysayer, just feel like price/performance is inferior and don't feel like that was addressed well in the video. That said, glad Anbernic is putting out a decent product, and hopefully the 505 delivers.

This device should be at least $25, $30 cheaper than what it's priced.

Hdmi out, wifi, bt, proper 4:3 and without logo utilizing the full area of the case and thinner bezels, traditional controller layout, thinner and smaller in height. It ticks all my checkboxes.
Not to mention you can now play PC games streaming over wifi. I order via their Aliexpress store. At the official website they included tax separately, but I don't trust the ammount nor do I knowvif this applies to my country. I'd rather let my customs do the calculations from Alieexpress.

Thanks for the awesome video. I don’t have a handheld emulator yet and I’m looking to get this one. I’m new to all these so I’m wonder, does the rg353m come with everything ready to play out the box?

I'm going to assume your favorite before was the RG351MP. My favorite 3.5 Anbernic at the moment is the RG353P. I still like the RG300X as well.
I do however love the design of this new RG353M, especially the thinness of the handheld compared to the RG351MP. I don't know whether to purchase an RG353M or not. If so, I'd get the Deep Purple Edition.
What I'm waiting for from Anbernic is the RG505. Want the 5 inch display Anbernic.

Nah, 7" linux based thats not expensive lol
Btw Jono, at the moment for a short while I could get the RG552 for what works out to be usd $143 locally.
Tempted but you know me and the need for 7" screen. 😁
Even if the aspect ratio of the 552 makes it slightly larger than my Max.. Still.. Dunno man lol

@@RetroDodo Are you gonna keep your RG351MP or sell it? Did the RG353M totally replace your RG351MP?
For me, my RG353P totally replaced my RG351MP.

Its not and android front end 😁
Its an emulator front end. 😎
And yeah, I know about it, ive tried it on a phone and I used to use Dig on the JXD. Thats another one.
I even made some themes for Dig.
Reset collection needs android 7 minimum which the X17 has.
The one Retro Game Corps done recently, forgot the name, starts with a D is apparently real good and free.
But it needs minimum android 8.
These are emulator front ends though, apps.
What Im after is that without all the stuff that comes with android.
The linux based ones have that.

Problem is even if power is there, the resolution would probably still be out of whack anyway. Isn't PSP more of a wide-screen device? This looks closer to 4:3.
