@Daniel Deliverz ANY hill with more than a 3% grade, by law, you have to curb your tires in California. I'm a courier in San Francisco and have seen MANY peeps get ticketed for this "offense"
I talked about getting a Mav for so long and decided to not get a small truck. The recalls were kinda spooky to be popping up and I didn't want an ecobox anymore. I wanted to go a little higher on the build quality and ended up in a turbocharged Mazda6 instead. I'll just rent a UHAUL pickup or call my father-in-law for the old D150 to roll out if I ever need a truck. The 6 is engaging to drive, which is more important to me than utility right now. I think I'll go full utility when I'm older, give or take 10 years. Today, it's boost, grip, and luxury rolled into one for the price of a new Corolla.
Wish I could get the truck, but can't even put in orders, test drive it, or even know when the next order date will be according to the local Ford dealer. Can't find them anywhere either with the set up I need.
I think time wears out a vehicle faster than miles . For example a 2023 with 70k miles every part is fairly new because it has not withstood the elements like the sun wind hail pollen etc cuz that crap dries up seals suspension and engine, transmission seals etc. unless you keep it garaged when not driving it . My wife’s suv had a lot less miles on a 2002 like 45k but mine being newer and higher mileage like 80k miles on 2010 , hers with less miles had more mechanical problems cuz of time not miles

We're you able to negotiate pricing on your new truck? I'm looking to order the 2023 when they become available to order. Also, what was your deciding factor for the 4k tow package over the 2k.
No I wasn’t because I searched for a long time for it haha and Because I want to be able to tow something if I need too Such as a trailer or whatever. 2k is not a lot of towing power
The 4k tow package also includes things like an upgraded radiator, cooling fan, and gear ratio. For the price, some people seem to recommend it even if you won't use the extra towing capacity. You have no real chance of negotiating pricing below MSRP. If you can get d plan or x plan pricing, that can knock some off the price but negotiating isn't going to happen.
How many miles will be to many before your like " ok maybe time to retire it " because at this pace , you will definitely be in the high numbers if you keep it for years

They replaced the Ford ranger with this crap I guess they do have a Ford ranger but it doesn’t look like the Ford ranger it looks like a full-size truck but this as a as far as I’m concerned us mini truck is like pathetic

when you park on a hill in CA facing downhill you need to turn your wheels into the curb. when I left CA I noticed some states don't require this.

I think that when you replace the truck you should get a Lariat with the radar. Might keep you safer on the highway, maybe.
