Having the virus rocked my vision. Not in a good way... I wouldn't discount the role played by that booster. That said I imagine it is a combination of things you are dealing with that together explain your setback in cms. Hang in there and stay the course luv
When you wear a strong 💪 minus lens, it always makes it worse. My scientific opinion. Getting back out of it means going from 20/70, where you are now, to at least 20/40, and better. Get rid of your -3 D. Get a -1.5 D, for emergency use. Do not use anything for close work. That is what I am doing. Keep up your efforts , Gem!
Such a drop is so strange. When I have bad eye days, it's usually after not getting enough sleep or being dehydrated. I also remember another time was (about 6 months ago) when I switched to lower prescription differentials. That messed up my eyesight for a while until I moved my work PC so it was a little closer than before. Thankfully that resolved my problem and also seemed to help improve my progress. Really hope your centimeter measurements jump back up to where they were before.
Gem, when I used an eye heating pad off amazon it screwed my focusing up really bad, couldnt read sh%$!!!!! I had too much pressure on my cornea, Maybe too much heat as well. If it continues I would get morning blood sugar checked on empty stomach as a precaution. Not sure about the booster, I havnt gotten the booster only the 2 shots. After being on kind of a keto diet, I notice my morning focusing is at an all time best for my old ass lol my morning sugar is 117= prediabetic for me. I dont want type 2 so I cut carbs to 20 to 30 a day to reverse my fatty liver an maybe pancreas. I was eating the great American diabities diet for 50 years. Time for change for me. Plz takes sudden vision change serious. I hope its just eye compress or booster. Take care, there is hope in what Reannon says about the virus. Dehydation really screwes my focusing up too. Blurryish vision at all distances, nothing was sharp. Hope this helps
omg i got a different vax, not covid, 2 weeks ago, and my myopia is WAY WORSE i went to the optom and she said yep its worse than December, but I def noticed a jump in these 2 weeks. i WAS straining heavily for a week researching up close on my phone and laptop cause I had weird side effects and wanted to figure out what was going on with me, my eyes were very tired and heavy, and I wasn't sleeping well the whole time! I wonder if I just pushed them too hard. but yep my myopia is worse! I'm so scared.
the jabs have been known to cause issues with circulation all over the body. hope you're healing by now. take vitamin D3, and vitamin C to help detox. nac is good too but hard to find in some places
Well there has been some cases of poeple losing vision after the 3rd vaccin ! anyway i wish you a fast recovery

Are you sure it"s not the hot patching? I know you did something like before, but if I remember correctly this reduction in cm measurements aligns well with you restarting doing them regularly. If not, then yeah I agree that infection / inflammation in the body can result in worse vision, so maybe it's that. Hopefully it will resolve soon and/or you find out what is causing it! It most be pretty daunting. Edit: also don't forget that stress also won't help vision. So try to not stress out on this :)
The hot cloth has never seemed to be a problem before, but the gel pads are new - maybe something about the material, or their stiffness? I have stopped using them (the hot cloth is still being used a bit though). Good reminder about the effect of stress too.
Look at these as well. what emotions did you have? Have you had strong emotions recently? Have you had thoughts that disturb you? Did something happen to disturb you?
This is going to sound weird but after hearing that you are saying the dry eyes may be a clue. You may be experiencing mental stress and what is still hanging on despite getting really rid of screens (bravo!!) is the lack of blinking as a behavior you may have which is the remnant behavior of retreating to screens during stress in the first place. Try addressing the stress with this in mind, become aware of it etc. Best of luck!!!!
@@bigboss9817 Hi Big, Nope! I truly learned "the plus", from Optometrist Raphaelson, whp insisted (forced) his three kids to wear a plus through the school years. That works. They aways got out of 20/50, and back to 20/20! But everyone else fights it, when at 20/50. Sad, but scientific truth!
I have to go to school so does studying for too long is also bad? Also I can't wear differentials on some lessons cause I have to look arh the blackboard. Is this bad?
I think my glasses habit is good. -0.5/-0.75 differentials, with a good set up at the computer. -1.75/-2 normalised. -2/-2.25 gives me crystal clear vision (usually).
Possible... I am vegan (mostly), but I do eat a lot of edamame and chia seeds, which should supply omega 3... If the dry eyes keep up I will look into a getting blood tests to find out if I am deficient in anything.
@@GemilyMez I am vegetarian, also dealing with dry eyes, but I also wear contacts . Lately I researched a lot on Omega 3's, DHA ans EPA and there is a lot of controversial information about it. Some studies show that vegans actually have a higher conversion rate of the ALA to EPA and DHA.. another study showed that flaxseed oil supplementation did not improve the omega 3 Index, although algae oil supplementation did (dha and epa only found in fish and algae) so I'm experimenting a bit too... we'll see !
Hello everyone, I apologise if this is an obvious question, but when is the reccomended time frame to reduce normalised? Is it 6-8 weeks from the previous reduction?
6-8 weeks from your previous differential reduction. 3-4 months from your previous normalised reduction. As long as your cm measurements/snellen results/visual acuity is ready. You can go slower, but quicker is not recommended.
@@GemilyMez hmmm but the thing is I messed up my first 3 months as I didn't have the new normalised ready between the first and second month and thus I had to wait about a week for my new normalised. So does that mean I'm restarting and so I wait for a month from my previous reduction?
@@GemilyMez so basically I just started endmyopia, so I decreased my first -0.25 diopters. But I didn't have my normalised ready and had to continue using my full 20/20 prescription so I think it may have messed up my results. So now I'm I guess u could say restarting and am asking u if I still wait for a month or 3-4 months

Thanks so much. Interesting hearing about your experience.
Hydration, diet and medications cause me a noticable amount of trouble.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
Thank you. I am being very intentional about water now. And am home again so am eating better again now.

may try Fragrant Chi Kung that could help.
Hmm I'm not sure what to suggest I've had similar going through a North European winter but I doubt that would be the case in Australia...

Do you have diabetes? It could have something to do with blood sugar. I would suggest getting a blood exam! Hope you get better soon.
Not that I know of! I hope not! Yeah, if it doesn't sort itself out, a blood exam is a good idea. Thank you.
