I will echo another commenter and say that SCP610 (The Flesh That Hates) vs When Day Breaks would be fascinating to see, since they're so similar on the surface. How are they different, how would they interact? Would it be nothing of significance, with 610 just melting like any normal creature?
It’s pretty fair to say that the sun will still melt it and make them join the collective as one of the suns anomalous properties in when day breaks is that it nullifies and overpowers other anomalies so it’s safe to say it would overpower and take over the flesh and make it all one

I wonder if perhaps the sun was used as a prison for the flesh god. But then I remembered that there is a lesser know group of interest that worships the sun in the scp canon.
Sarkism follows not only blood, but also Jaldabaoth. SCP-001 and its constructs are bound to the "Sol" goddess, a separate entity, and seek to become a single consciousness. Despite the fact that it seems similar, I think that sarcasm would be disappointed in the situation.
@@unbreakablelag maybe, but if you read "heart and sol" (a prequel of SCP-001 writen by the same autor), you will see that the sun has its own goddess, whose name is "Sol". That name is also hailed by instances of SCP-001-A in some stories.

Immaculate story map and story telling thus far for 001 as a whole. And seeing the potential one-off tales intrigues me for the hopes of 2200 "soulsberg" in the possible future. Apologies if this ask becomes rather repetitive given the nature of how many stories are in the process of being made into this reality. My reason to asking is the nature of complexity this scp is as a whole. Even though there are ones such as 939 "With many voices", 076 "Able" or even the equally hostile 610 "Flesh that hates" and 354 "The red pool" that could all have unique affects from this timeline, 2200 stands out to me for how many steps the average human may go through. I'm certain there's a lot more people out there with just as many questions to see how they can escape or be immune to the side effects of 001, some even more complex than this. All you people deserve the love of 001's touch to see if it becomes more of a safe-haven or an even more dangerous location/scp.

When day breaks is what initially made me want to write SCP. Tried writing a tale taking place a hundred thousand years after the event using part of the canon you made which was in its earliest development. Sadly I was told "When Night Falls" had too many of the early gen SCPs in it so I gave up. Then I learned about the Bellerverse canon and pretty much bashed my head on the keys. When I summerize this you can see why the idea didn't make it past the initial conversations with the butterfly squad. V.V;;; WNF would have followed three groups of academics descended from reproductive clones made by SCP 2000 trying to reconstruct the disaster that destroyed the world and figure out what happened. The sun is back to normal, the Climate is shot. The staff of the main digsite opens up the remains of Site 19 and finds the skeletons of Bright and Clef in the server room. The archeologist in charge, Hadrian Bright, recognizes Bright's pendant as his clan crest, breaks excavation procedures and grabs it in his excitement. The pendant is cracked however, forcing him to share room in Bright's head. I had places and images vividly created in my head for the story, including a digital copy of Cimmerian that takes control of a drone and flies it around and some of the creatures from Lord Blackwood's tales hiding underground. I scrapped this idea in favor of the story of a crew of specialist MTF cadets and their handler. Their handler James mysteriously has no last name and no history. He was found in an office assumed to be his, with no record he existed, a level 2 clearance badge on that had the name seared off and his original face and name have been burned out of all paper records the Foundation has. Items around the office and found on his person however, indicate he was an agent with a Level 2 clearance, and not much more. Obviously he was going to be connected to the fairies. I was going to use the myth of the changeling for him, maybe have him grow rabbit ears and limbs and have superspeed as a battle thing. Lt. Marie Howard was an emergency planner working out of Fort Dietrich with a tour in Iraq under her belt. She's recruited by James for the SCP Foundation, with the eventual career path of XK Scenario planning ahead for her, with frequent assignments that take her into battle against carcists. David Philips was a twelve year old computer prodigy when he marched up to a Deep Feeders dockyard in New York City and asked for a Job. He was turned down obviously, and so he tried repeatedly to hack into a Foundation server located there. The hack attempts trigger surveillance, and he's given a choice, join the Foundation as a ward and work his way up through the ranks or go to federal prison. Six years later he's joining Marie's MTF cadet team after a career of maintaining old Anderson robots. He's very versed in the ins and outs of life at the Foundation but has the normal awkwardness and emotional immaturity of a child genius. Finally there's Damascus, vice chairman of his local gay officer's league, newly promoted to detective. He's never lost a footrace with a suspect. When that suspect is a giant insect disguised as a volkswagon beetle, and the Foundation saves them, he's talented enough to give the agents trying to tail and amnesticize him the slip, leading to his recruitment instead. The idea was going to be kind of like Star Trek Lower Decks but with less slapstick and references and more anime type vibes and serious action. "The best the Foundation has to offer... yeah that's not us." the intro would have read, maybe even learning to play with animation and make a funny animated intro sequence showing a bunch of well known youtuber avatars on a platform with spotlights and shit, and then have the footage grind to a halt. I also wanted to portray the senior staff in the background as kind of being the typical crazy jerk bosses just after the 239 incident. There was also going to be an easter egg of Cimmerian just after being burned in the hospital wing when Marie gets her physical, and she walks in on him being recruited to replace old Dr. Mosley as Ethics Committee Liason by mistake. His first assignment, defend Dr. Clef and keep his ass out of a containment cell. >.> There were going to be some jokes at the 1st gen scps' expense. Omega 7 were going to be the snotty cool kids that everyone wanted to be like. There was going to be a lot of ridiculousness and a lot of rivalry and small scale cases. Stuff to whet my teeth on. But I've got it all shelved, I have to get through writing one SCP first. And its kind of going at the end of this timeline, with Marie having a solid career behind her and her greatest distinction ahead of her. I’d like to see how 035 would deal with when day breaks as since he is inorganic he shouldn’t be converted by the sun and could even possess the flesh monsters. And I also think 343 would be interesting as him being god might be immune to the sun and how he would feel with his creation being destroyed
Noting here, that it's best to be careful with SCP 343 and his claims to be God (with a capital G); It depends very much on if that fits your headcannon, or not. SCP 343 could just be an extremely powerful reality bender mucking about (as some stories featuring em suggest, he is pretty devious when it comes to dealing with those who cross him in the kind of way he makes sure nobody even remembers them existing after he is through with them), some sort of entity of power with delusions of grandeur, or any number of other things. Personally, my take on SCP 343 is that there is way more to him than him "just" being God, and while he is no doubt extremely powerful...that does not mean he isn't a massive danger should he wish to be. I know some storylines treat him as one fragment of the supreme being of the SCP universe, with other SCPs (One of the reality bender witch girl scps (the one who got convinced she is a witch and must follow a spellbook of approved spells to do things) who's number escapes me) being another fragments, which all in all fits my own take on him. While a fragment of said supreme entity, this does not make him THE supreme entity, and as he has his own agenda (shown in stories where he does shady things to remove people who don't buy what he is selling), he is a very dangerous entity for sure. Now, be he a charlatan or the real deal, as I said is up to everyones own headcannon, but for sure SCP 343 encountering this situation would be a curious affair to follow. Considering how passive he seems to be most of the time, I doubt he will Deus Ex Machina the situation away either due to A) Him being unable to (kinda would point to him being far less than he claims) B) Finding some excuse "why he can't" such as "You gotta deal with it yourself humans cause free will! Yeah! I'll just leave you to it" C) Peacing out after having his fill of utterly destroying the goop trying to touch him as he tours the world for a final time before vacating it. D) When day Breaks tossing some converted ultra powerful anomaly at him that causes him to have to take the fight away from Earth so as not to destroy it in the process, meaning he will be busy having a smackdown with this ultra goop monstrosity, so humanity has to deal with its own problems once more. E) Another scenario. Personally, I am partial to D being the most interesting purely for spectacle’s sake, plus it's rare for 343 to get used in a story in a way where he actually *has* to do something when he chooses to do something (or go along with whatever the Foundation ask of him), rather than him kinda being a giant walking talking question mark that doesn't do a whole lot, despite him having a lot of potential for very interesting stories that still leave the question of "is he or is he not?" unanswered.
Nothing if anyone here knows is there some reason why SCP 343 mostly gets left to their own devices (such as the author expressing the wish that this be the case), please feel free to enlighten me on the matter. Cause I do think you could do a lot with em, no matter what direction one decided to go, and still honor the spirit of leaving the original question posed by the article introducing him as to him potential being God, potentially just a charlatan posing as em, unanswered.

You could also throw in SCP 5000 "The Suit" within the same vein, like would the suit protect the user from the flesh or would it just fold? Who knows, if anything it could connect back to the Bright-Cimmerian story line, since it does have a tendency to restore humanity is society-ending scenarios.
From what I could tell, nobody and nothing is safe from WDB, even the other SCPs. Oh dear, why am I dreading that we may get the bad ending? Whatever happens moving forward, I hope that there is a true light at the end of all this. But, I feel like that may have been too late. No matter how far we run or hide, the broken light will always find us.

@@EspeonMistress00 SCP-2399 aka the malfunctioning destroyer is an alien battle ship in space that is hiding in the planet Jupiter masquerading as the Great Red Spot. It was damaged by a meteorite and is trying to repair itself slowly so it can hunt for it’s target.
SCP 5322 could be interesting. The road and its pit stops seem to be a different dimension, so maybe the sun wouldn’t work there? It would probably be invaded but the way the structures manifest it might be possible for some one to imagine and then Create fortifications to defend against the flesh monsters. Also, I’m pretty sure if you stay put you don’t age, so it would give humans plenty of time to think of a solution.
I’d love to see 250 (the reanimated Allosaurus fossil) in when day breaks. How cool would it be to see all this chaos going down only to see a friggen dinosaur running around lol. Keep up the great work man. Loving this story!
The Dino does not have any flesh so it would be interesting to see what would happen. Should it melt into bone jello, or will it just lose it’s anomalous abilities? Will it be unaffected or will it just burn in sunlight?
I’m glad the 173 story isn’t considered canon. To have killed 1/3 of 682’s hyperversal countrymen, become a ruthless dictator feared by all, possibly having the power to create clones, and capable of wiping out all life on earth even more faster and successful than When Day Breaks if it wasn’t held back by its curse. I don’t believe that the sun would even be able to reason with 173 let alone take him. He is described in most entries as purely evil, crazy powerful based on his feats, and knows how to fight like a true savage.

I mean, it could go the 579 and 055 route like in SCP 5000 if all else fails, assuming both anomalies are still around at that point after the sun and the nukes.
My guess is that 2 is SCP-002 or something related to it. When Day Breaks turns living into a great blobby mass of flesh singularity, while SCP-002 turns every instance of living matter into something beautiful and unique in a twsited fashion. When Day Breaks and SCP-002 are both flesh-themed anomalies that have origins in space, When Day Breaks being the "sun" and SCP-002 being an extraterrestrial anomaly that fell to Earth.

It is actually very nice to see several very hostile scps come to peace and release that hostility but whats more is that its nice to see some people immune or straight up deny being affected by the flesh making it a not so much of a everything is dead type vibe

Something has just crossed my mind. Both SCP-106 and SCP-053 are immune to the sunlight. The latter might be the source to a solution of giving everyone immunity to the sunlight by some method, but she is still a kid. 106 eats children, so my wonder is if they cross paths if he will try to snatch her to eat her in his dimension. It would make him a villain in this story like he's always known to be if he's either unaware of her immunity or if he can't control his need to feed on the young. 682 would have to protect her while avoiding the light. It'll be interesting to see if the story takes this direction at one point, either way I look forward to what unfolds!

While this series is horrifying and I need to watch them in bite size to avoid more haunting dreams or anxiety. These are amazing and well written stories that are able to show what little hope but still hope that could be found during these horrific events
To me it is very strange that the sunlight effects 682 and at the same time I don't find it strange because although it does effect 682 like everything else from acid to flames, it cannot permanently or completely destroy him. There are reports of like 80 percent of his mass being destroyed but the other 20 percent regenerating it so with that in mind I guess it does make sense that he can't be completely subsumed by the sun but ultimately he can resist it. However 053's resistance is very peculiar as she doesn't appear to be god-like or a deity of some kind but can still maintain its own anomalous effects and individuality, especially considering that the alien deer god (forgets it's numerical designation) was absorbed by the sun. However bo mention of 343 in interested in how he's effected. And if he's absorbed well, that's probably very bad
It's so interesting to see how certain SCPS would react to when day breaks be that becoming heros, angels of death, staying the same or just outright embracing the sun.
Another Suggestion: Do a video in the When Day Breaks Scenario about General Winter since the light can’t really touch him because of the snow and the clothes he’s wearing
The worst part of “when day breaks” is that not only are the people of earth compromised other life forms out there are as well because the sun light will still eventually reach them it may be years even a Millennia but sooner or later they will too suffer the same fate as everyone else who encounters the light

I will echo another commenter and say that SCP610 (The Flesh That Hates) vs When Day Breaks would be fascinating to see, since they're so similar on the surface. How are they different, how would they interact? Would it be nothing of significance, with 610 just melting like any normal creature?

I notice how several people are curious of how SCP-610 would react to "When day breaks" but I'm more curious to have a story of how the Sarkic Cult and the Church of a Broken God would react to this even. For the Church it must be a nightmare for them and for the Sarkics it must me a dream come true seeing flesh rise everywhere
Yeah either that or the sarkics are not happy about it for some reason and are trying to fight against the flesh with scp-610 who knows but the church of the broken god would not be happy about this at all
My guess: The Sarkics see this as a perversion of their fleshy religion, and the Mechanites decide that clockwork-conversion needs to be improved tenfold.
I wonder if perhaps the sun was used as a prison for the flesh god. But then I remembered that there is a lesser know group of interest that worships the sun in the scp canon.
Sarkism follows not only blood, but also Jaldabaoth. SCP-001 and its constructs are bound to the "Sol" goddess, a separate entity, and seek to become a single consciousness. Despite the fact that it seems similar, I think that sarcasm would be disappointed in the situation.

Immaculate story map and story telling thus far for 001 as a whole. And seeing the potential one-off tales intrigues me for the hopes of 2200 "soulsberg" in the possible future. Apologies if this ask becomes rather repetitive given the nature of how many stories are in the process of being made into this reality. My reason to asking is the nature of complexity this scp is as a whole.
Even though there are ones such as 939 "With many voices", 076 "Able" or even the equally hostile 610 "Flesh that hates" and 354 "The red pool" that could all have unique affects from this timeline, 2200 stands out to me for how many steps the average human may go through.
I'm certain there's a lot more people out there with just as many questions to see how they can escape or be immune to the side effects of 001, some even more complex than this. All you people deserve the love of 001's touch to see if it becomes more of a safe-haven or an even more dangerous location/scp.
I've being watching this series from the start, and I can't wait for more episodes! Especially on the journey to nuclear fallout.

When day breaks is what initially made me want to write SCP. Tried writing a tale taking place a hundred thousand years after the event using part of the canon you made which was in its earliest development. Sadly I was told "When Night Falls" had too many of the early gen SCPs in it so I gave up. Then I learned about the Bellerverse canon and pretty much bashed my head on the keys. When I summerize this you can see why the idea didn't make it past the initial conversations with the butterfly squad. V.V;;;
WNF would have followed three groups of academics descended from reproductive clones made by SCP 2000 trying to reconstruct the disaster that destroyed the world and figure out what happened. The sun is back to normal, the Climate is shot. The staff of the main digsite opens up the remains of Site 19 and finds the skeletons of Bright and Clef in the server room. The archeologist in charge, Hadrian Bright, recognizes Bright's pendant as his clan crest, breaks excavation procedures and grabs it in his excitement. The pendant is cracked however, forcing him to share room in Bright's head. I had places and images vividly created in my head for the story, including a digital copy of Cimmerian that takes control of a drone and flies it around and some of the creatures from Lord Blackwood's tales hiding underground.
I scrapped this idea in favor of the story of a crew of specialist MTF cadets and their handler. Their handler James mysteriously has no last name and no history. He was found in an office assumed to be his, with no record he existed, a level 2 clearance badge on that had the name seared off and his original face and name have been burned out of all paper records the Foundation has. Items around the office and found on his person however, indicate he was an agent with a Level 2 clearance, and not much more. Obviously he was going to be connected to the fairies. I was going to use the myth of the changeling for him, maybe have him grow rabbit ears and limbs and have superspeed as a battle thing. Lt. Marie Howard was an emergency planner working out of Fort Dietrich with a tour in Iraq under her belt. She's recruited by James for the SCP Foundation, with the eventual career path of XK Scenario planning ahead for her, with frequent assignments that take her into battle against carcists. David Philips was a twelve year old computer prodigy when he marched up to a Deep Feeders dockyard in New York City and asked for a Job. He was turned down obviously, and so he tried repeatedly to hack into a Foundation server located there. The hack attempts trigger surveillance, and he's given a choice, join the Foundation as a ward and work his way up through the ranks or go to federal prison. Six years later he's joining Marie's MTF cadet team after a career of maintaining old Anderson robots. He's very versed in the ins and outs of life at the Foundation but has the normal awkwardness and emotional immaturity of a child genius. Finally there's Damascus, vice chairman of his local gay officer's league, newly promoted to detective. He's never lost a footrace with a suspect. When that suspect is a giant insect disguised as a volkswagon beetle, and the Foundation saves them, he's talented enough to give the agents trying to tail and amnesticize him the slip, leading to his recruitment instead.
The idea was going to be kind of like Star Trek Lower Decks but with less slapstick and references and more anime type vibes and serious action. "The best the Foundation has to offer... yeah that's not us." the intro would have read, maybe even learning to play with animation and make a funny animated intro sequence showing a bunch of well known youtuber avatars on a platform with spotlights and shit, and then have the footage grind to a halt. I also wanted to portray the senior staff in the background as kind of being the typical crazy jerk bosses just after the 239 incident. There was also going to be an easter egg of Cimmerian just after being burned in the hospital wing when Marie gets her physical, and she walks in on him being recruited to replace old Dr. Mosley as Ethics Committee Liason by mistake. His first assignment, defend Dr. Clef and keep his ass out of a containment cell. >.> There were going to be some jokes at the 1st gen scps' expense. Omega 7 were going to be the snotty cool kids that everyone wanted to be like. There was going to be a lot of ridiculousness and a lot of rivalry and small scale cases. Stuff to whet my teeth on.
But I've got it all shelved, I have to get through writing one SCP first. And its kind of going at the end of this timeline, with Marie having a solid career behind her and her greatest distinction ahead of her. Part of a project to try and nerf or diminish scp 610 (my specific early gen hang up.) V.V;;; I'm going to write it first, then try to get through the god damned summary. Yes I know its backwards.

I’d like to see how 035 would deal with when day breaks as since he is inorganic he shouldn’t be converted by the sun and could even possess the flesh monsters. And I also think 343 would be interesting as him being god might be immune to the sun and how he would feel with his creation being destroyed
Noting here, that it's best to be careful with SCP 343 and his claims to be God (with a capital G); It depends very much on if that fits your headcannon, or not. SCP 343 could just be an extremely powerful reality bender mucking about (as some stories featuring em suggest, he is pretty devious when it comes to dealing with those who cross him in the kind of way he makes sure nobody even remembers them existing after he is through with them), some sort of entity of power with delusions of grandeur, or any number of other things. Personally, my take on SCP 343 is that there is way more to him than him "just" being God, and while he is no doubt extremely powerful...that does not mean he isn't a massive danger should he wish to be. I know some storylines treat him as one fragment of the supreme being of the SCP universe, with other SCPs (One of the reality bender witch girl scps (the one who got convinced she is a witch and must follow a spellbook of approved spells to do things) who's number escapes me) being another fragments, which all in all fits my own take on him.
While a fragment of said supreme entity, this does not make him THE supreme entity, and as he has his own agenda (shown in stories where he does shady things to remove people who don't buy what he is selling), he is a very dangerous entity for sure. Now, be he a charlatan or the real deal, as I said is up to everyones own headcannon, but for sure SCP 343 encountering this situation would be a curious affair to follow.
Considering how passive he seems to be most of the time, I doubt he will Deus Ex Machina the situation away either due to A) Him being unable to (kinda would point to him being far less than he claims) B) Finding some excuse "why he can't" such as "You gotta deal with it yourself humans cause free will! Yeah! I'll just leave you to it" C) Peacing out after having his fill of utterly destroying the goop trying to touch him as he tours the world for a final time before vacating it. D) When day Breaks tossing some converted ultra powerful anomaly at him that causes him to have to take the fight away from Earth so as not to destroy it in the process, meaning he will be busy having a smackdown with this ultra goop monstrosity, so humanity has to deal with its own problems once more. E) Another scenario. Personally, I am partial to D being the most interesting purely for spectacle’s sake, plus it's rare for 343 to get used in a story in a way where he actually *has* to do something when he chooses to do something (or go along with whatever the Foundation ask of him), rather than him kinda being a giant walking talking question mark that doesn't do a whole lot, despite him having a lot of potential for very interesting stories that still leave the question of "is he or is he not?" unanswered.
Nothing if anyone here knows is there some reason why SCP 343 mostly gets left to their own devices (such as the author expressing the wish that this be the case), please feel free to enlighten me on the matter. Cause I do think you could do a lot with em, no matter what direction one decided to go, and still honor the spirit of leaving the original question posed by the article introducing him as to him potential being God, potentially just a charlatan posing as em, unanswered.

You could also throw in SCP 5000 "The Suit" within the same vein, like would the suit protect the user from the flesh or would it just fold? Who knows, if anything it could connect back to the Bright-Cimmerian story line, since it does have a tendency to restore humanity is society-ending scenarios.
From what I could tell, nobody and nothing is safe from WDB, even the other SCPs. Oh dear, why am I dreading that we may get the bad ending? Whatever happens moving forward, I hope that there is a true light at the end of all this. But, I feel like that may have been too late. No matter how far we run or hide, the broken light will always find us.
Well most of humanity is flesh goop, safe spaces like unlondon and IKEA are under seige at best, and the best shot at survival, 2000, was nuked into oblivion. We hit the bad end at the mid point.

SCP 5322 could be interesting. The road and its pit stops seem to be a different dimension, so maybe the sun wouldn’t work there? It would probably be invaded but the way the structures manifest it might be possible for some one to imagine and then Create fortifications to defend against the flesh monsters. Also, I’m pretty sure if you stay put you don’t age, so it would give humans plenty of time to think of a solution.

I’m glad the 173 story isn’t considered canon. To have killed 1/3 of 682’s hyperversal countrymen, become a ruthless dictator feared by all, possibly having the power to create clones, and capable of wiping out all life on earth even more faster and successful than When Day Breaks if it wasn’t held back by its curse. I don’t believe that the sun would even be able to reason with 173 let alone take him. He is described in most entries as purely evil, crazy powerful based on his feats, and knows how to fight like a true savage.
This entire series and more are absolutely incredible. Can't wait to see where these stories go.

I mean, it could go the 579 and 055 route like in SCP 5000 if all else fails, assuming both anomalies are still around at that point after the sun and the nukes.

My guess is that 2 is SCP-002 or something related to it. When Day Breaks turns living into a great blobby mass of flesh singularity, while SCP-002 turns every instance of living matter into something beautiful and unique in a twsited fashion. When Day Breaks and SCP-002 are both flesh-themed anomalies that have origins in space, When Day Breaks being the "sun" and SCP-002 being an extraterrestrial anomaly that fell to Earth.

Been following When Day Breaks since the beginning. Terrifying. 049 forever.
Something has just crossed my mind. Both SCP-106 and SCP-053 are immune to the sunlight. The latter might be the source to a solution of giving everyone immunity to the sunlight by some method, but she is still a kid. 106 eats children, so my wonder is if they cross paths if he will try to snatch her to eat her in his dimension. It would make him a villain in this story like he's always known to be if he's either unaware of her immunity or if he can't control his need to feed on the young. 682 would have to protect her while avoiding the light. It'll be interesting to see if the story takes this direction at one point, either way I look forward to what unfolds!

To me it is very strange that the sunlight effects 682 and at the same time I don't find it strange because although it does effect 682 like everything else from acid to flames, it cannot permanently or completely destroy him. There are reports of like 80 percent of his mass being destroyed but the other 20 percent regenerating it so with that in mind I guess it does make sense that he can't be completely subsumed by the sun but ultimately he can resist it. However 053's resistance is very peculiar as she doesn't appear to be god-like or a deity of some kind but can still maintain its own anomalous effects and individuality, especially considering that the alien deer god (forgets it's numerical designation) was absorbed by the sun. However bo mention of 343 in interested in how he's effected. And if he's absorbed well, that's probably very bad
It's so interesting to see how certain SCPS would react to when day breaks be that becoming heros, angels of death, staying the same or just outright embracing the sun.
