Another Stranger Me- Blind Guardian Has the Murder on the Orient Express feel to it and a detective that could be Poirot's evil twin by how many splitting personalities he has. Agatha Christie would be proud.
i scrolled through literally most of the comments and I didn’t find a single one about bewitched by candlemass, definitely deserves a spot on this list
When I’m at work and I hear Smells Like Teen Spirit I want to slam dance with other employees!! LOL I know it’s not metal but it makes me want to even though I don’t!!!
Behemoth - 'At the left hand ov God' Killswitch Engage - 'Always' Korn - 'Freak on a leash' Rammstein - 'Deutschland' Wind Rose - 'Gates of Ekrund' Cradle Of Filth - 'Born in a burial gown' Anaal Nathrakh - 'Endarkenment' Electric Callboy - 'Hypa Hypa' Ghost - 'Cirice' Slipknot - 'Spit it out' Type O Negative - 'I don't wanna be me' Sabaton - 'Christmas truce' Belzebubs - 'Cathedrals of mourning'
A Perfect Circle - Judith is fantastically shot too. You see a lot of personality and depth on display from the members throughout and the energy is electric. Helps it's a masterfully written song too
APC is just an amazing band all together. Eat the Elephant was written with little contact between MJK and Howerdale and they made that whole album great.
I think the best Slipknot music video is The Devil In I. Another great video that should've been on this list is Closer from NiN. Oh, and Freak On A Leash from KoRn. And what about any music video from Falling In Reverse? Every music video of theirs is like a mini movie.
Killswitch Engage did an amazing job at covering Dio's song and video for Holy Diver!! R.I.P. Layne Stayley, Chester Bennington, Ronnie James Dio, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot and Vinnie Paul Abbot.
Man...... so many greats just gone but music lasts forever. Dude all those guys u mentioned influenced more music than most more "renowned" musicians. So thank you god someone else remembers them and their music for what it is
"Breaking The Law" is a good music video byJudas Priest. However, "Painkiller" is a much better music video because of the black & white presentation and intense lightining that fits the mood of the song. What do you guys think is the best Judas Priest music video and should be on this list?
"We're Not Gonna Take It" has one of the most hilarious videos of all time. :D I'm not surprised about #1. It HAD to be the top heavy metal video of all time. It is freaking amazing, and so creative.
"Queensryche - Eyes of a stranger" and "Dokken - Dream warriors" should definitely be on that list. Nevertheless, cool list. For a more recent insanely great videoclip I recommend "Edu Falaschi - Land ahoy", absolutely gorgeous.
It's hard to appreciate Eyes of a Stranger video if you don't know the story behind the Mindcrime album though. That album is a masterpiece though and I love that video!
A great list, tbh I was expecting the same ol metal videos we'd watch back in MTV but I was pleasantly surprised to see familiar bands but videos that I've never seen (Iron Maden, TOOL) so I added those to my playlist. Thanks again and hope everyone is doing alright in yalls neck of the woods. Be safe and stay cool!
I would include Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss, Epica's Unleashed, Metal Church's Badlands and Tenacious D's Beezelboss in at least honorable mentions. Metallica's One was amazing considering the band was in mourning from Cliff's death.
My dude! Check out the Killswitch Engage version of "Holy Diver"! You'll like it, trust me. (Also, I highly recommend their song "The End Of Heartache" as well.) 🤟
I’m glad theres a Maiden song on the list. I genuinely thought there wasn’t gonna be one. Or they be an honourable mention. Though I’d rate it above a metallica video any day.
Metallica's "One" is a fitting choic3 for the top spot. I don't think there's any self respecting heavy metal fans out there who haven't seen it. And if they haven't, they should
I agree with Metallica's song One. That one always hits me, music and video alike. I agree that Duality is an awesome song and video but I was hoping more of the Slipknot song Solway Firth. That song, but especially the video shows and sings some brute and dark things. The video about the serie The Boys is so brutal that it fits the song in a Slipknot way. And I LOVE IT🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
A couple more honourable mentions: Helloween - "I Want Out": a must-watch for anyone who loves bizarre music videos Dokken - "Just Got Lucky": the video itself is nothing special, but the fact that George Lynch's shoes melted on top of an active volcano during filming is hilarious
No way they just called Rooster, We're Not Gonna Take It, Bulls on Parade, and Breaking the Habit "heavy metal". Also Devil in I by Slipknot and Memento Mori, Desolation, or Ghost Walking by Lamb of God should be on this or at least honorable mentions
Not saying I hate 5 Minutes Alone, I don’t hate ANY Pantera song! It’s just something about I’m Broken that makes me want to thrash!! Would by AIC is heavier than Rooster
You also should have included Sabaton's Christmas Truce, a modern successor to One. The cinematography is incredible and will also have you crying. A lot.
Uh.... Falling in Reverse - Watch the world burn. Avenged sevenfold - A little piece of Heaven and The Stage. Dream Evil - The book of heavy metal Kreator - Civilations collapse Havok - Give me liberty or give me death Nasty Savage - Indulgence. And nearly everything by Thor. Its a very long list..
Mentions Beavis & Butthead without mentioning that they tore apart the video for Breakin The Law… “it’s like I still like Judas Priest and all, but this sucks” - Butthead Also should’ve mentioned for Sweating Bullets: Butthead: “hey Beavis, this guy talks like you!” Beavis(in Mustaine voice): “he does not talk like me.”
Interesting list ! I was very happy to see a Tool video, any of their videos is a masterpiece of creativity and weirdness ! Just not sure that we can classify Alice in Chains as Heavy Metal, this is clearly a grunge band
Alice In Chains is in a genere called Sludge Metal which is a offshoot of Doom Metal (Black Sabbath). Grunge was more of a scene than a genre. AIC and Soungarden ( Also a Doom Metal band) sounded nothing like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
You seen the video for Killswitch Engage's cover? It's kinda weird, if memory serves. But, let's be real here, the Howard Jones era is the best Killswitch Engage era.
AS much as I love Linkin Park, choosing "Breaking the Habit" as honorable choice for "Heavy Metal" is very unfortunate, the band has so many better fits closer to "Heavy Metal": Bleed it Out, One Step Closer, Given Up, Faint...
Want 10 metal videos actually worth watching? Stam1na - Valitaan Uudet Vaateet Kampfar - Mylder Kalmah - Seventh Swamphony Moonsorrow - Suden Tunti Nightwish - Nemo Enslaved - Essence Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah Carcass - Unfit for Human Consumption Rob Zombie - Dragula Saor - Brón Tool - Yeah okay, Stinkfist haha
Do you have any idea what the song breaking the law what's about? Dumb dumb met Rob Halford Is 1983 Florida He said the song Tom was there struggle trying to get a gold Record Essaying what do we have to do to get a gold record breaks the law Cause the record label wasn't producing them right
My older brother dove into a shallow pond and broke his neck and was completely paralyzed, and in and out of coma, or 9 months before dying. He couldnt move his lips and could barely move his eyes. Let alone anything else. For 9 months. Then he died in 1990. One was his favorite song before the accident. And so we played it at his funeral. I don't know if irony is the right word. It just seems like a cruel joke.

Dudes, Mein Teil is not from 1994!
This list is a joke and boring as shit. Best metal music video's are Sabaton Bismarck and Five Finger Death Punch Wrong Side Of Heaven.
rooster by alice in chains
All of them
Another Stranger Me- Blind Guardian
Has the Murder on the Orient Express feel to it and a detective that could be Poirot's evil twin by how many splitting personalities he has. Agatha Christie would be proud.
Korns "Freak on a Leash" deserves at least an honorable mention.
Agree!
Seriously!
I remember that video being a huge deal when it came out. It’s awesome
The only reason I watched this list 😅
I would have mentioned it if nobody else did.
Just hearing the "One" intro in the start of this video gives me goosebumps
Same
Yeah
Hard to think of any video that could come close.... so powerful!
i scrolled through literally most of the comments and I didn’t find a single one about bewitched by candlemass, definitely deserves a spot on this list
Slipknot's Duality makes you want to start a mosh pit at work
Credit for throwing Pantera in the list.
It is the only thing that slowly stops the ache
When I’m at work and I hear Smells Like Teen Spirit I want to slam dance with other employees!! LOL I know it’s not metal but it makes me want to even though I don’t!!!
Behemoth - 'At the left hand ov God'
Killswitch Engage - 'Always'
Korn - 'Freak on a leash'
Rammstein - 'Deutschland'
Wind Rose - 'Gates of Ekrund'
Cradle Of Filth - 'Born in a burial gown'
Anaal Nathrakh - 'Endarkenment'
Electric Callboy - 'Hypa Hypa'
Ghost - 'Cirice'
Slipknot - 'Spit it out'
Type O Negative - 'I don't wanna be me'
Sabaton - 'Christmas truce'
Belzebubs - 'Cathedrals of mourning'
The actual music video for Spit It Out is genius!!! And a BIG nod to The Shining!! Great movie!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
How does KoRn's Freak on a Leash not even get an honorable mention?
cause it sucked jim
@@jamieoiler5690never

..@jamieoiler5690....EXACTLY
“Freak On A Leash” better be on this list.
Dammit!
😭❤
I thought it would be the number one.
Honestly they could've done 'Falling Away from Me' or 'Here to Stay' & that would've been better than either Alice in Chains or Metallica.
💯❤️
A Perfect Circle - Judith is fantastically shot too. You see a lot of personality and depth on display from the members throughout and the energy is electric. Helps it's a masterfully written song too
APC is just an amazing band all together. Eat the Elephant was written with little contact between MJK and Howerdale and they made that whole album great.
3 libra better video
Rammstein - Deutschland is masterpiece that can not be beat.
Facts
No. Mein teil
Dicke titten is one of my faves from them now but deutschland is awesometacular even though i dont understand it
Agreed
Prost
Metallica is easily one of my favorite bands of all time
Yes, Metallica. One of my favorite bands.

To breathe to feel to know I’m alive! I’m glad Tool made it! One will always be the one!
OMG THE MEMORIES!!!! Take me back to the 80’s!!! Judas Priest! Ronnie James Dio! Twisted Sister! Metallica! YESSSSSSSS!!!!
Oh hells yeah it's about time WatchMojo made a top 10 list where Metallica's "One" is #1
Killswitch Engage did an amazing job at covering Dio's song and video
for Holy Diver!! R.I.P. Layne Stayley, Chester Bennington, Ronnie James

What do you guys think is the best Judas Priest music video and should be on this list?
You're not wrong. I think the main thing is that "Breaking The Law" created a blueprint, "Painkiller" perfected it 🤘
Turbo Lover 😘🤣
Turbo Lover.
"We're Not Gonna Take It" has one of the most hilarious videos of all time. :D
I'm not surprised about #1.

Yes, Dream Warriors should’ve been on here over Breakin The Law. Yes, Priest rules but as far as videos goes Dokken is superior.
It's hard to appreciate Eyes of a Stranger video if you don't know the story behind the Mindcrime album though. That album is a masterpiece though and I love that video!
@@SavaFiend me too, I only got to know operation mindcrime this year, I've been hooked ever since. Absolutely love it.
Every Rammstein video is a masterpiece
My personal favorite is feuer Frei
I would’ve loved an official music video for “Puppe” or “Wiener Blut“. Those two are my favorite songs
Deutschland or Amerika take it for me. Dicke Titten is another great video.
I fcking love Haifish for some reason

Iron Maiden is an absolute must. Have been listening to them for many, many and many more years. Their concerts are epic af too.
I would include Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss, Epica's Unleashed, Metal Church's Badlands and Tenacious D's Beezelboss in at least honorable mentions. Metallica's One was amazing considering the band was in mourning from Cliff's death.
Yes, I agree, Seasons was great. War Ensemble was also
My mom raised me on Dio. Now anytime we hear it on the radio we still karaoke carpool together. 😂
My dude! Check out the Killswitch Engage version of "Holy Diver"! You'll like it, trust me. (Also, I highly recommend their song "The End Of Heartache" as well.) 🤟
Pleasantly surprised that Rooster is on the list. RIP Layne Staley.
How did we skip over the fact that the veteran interviewed in Rooster IS Jerry Cantrell Sr.?
Heavy metal is a life safer!
How in the hell is Freak on a Leash not anywhere on this list?!
Great videos.Judas Priest is the Best metal band.
Couldn't agree more!
I’m glad theres a Maiden song on the list. I genuinely thought there wasn’t gonna be one. Or they be an honourable mention. Though I’d rate it above a metallica video any day.
Honorable mention to Killswitch engages version of holy diver.
no korn - freak on a leash?
Definitely One by Metallica! Best video ever! I'm a massive Metallica fan!
But, they forgot Korn "Freak On A Leash". That's a mad video! 🤘😝😈🤘😎🎸
The Crue's Wildside and Exodus Toxic Waltz my 2 favourites
Would've also thrown in "I'm With Stupid" by Static-X and "The Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson somewhere on the list, personally.
Another great video: "Epic" by Faith No More
One gave me nightmares for days after I first saw it (granted I was a kid) but still one of my favorite songs to this day
“Metallica usually isn’t political”
The entire …And Justice For All album
Disposable heroes
Fight Fire With Fire
I would include Sonne by Rammstein (that got me into the band) and Vermilion by Slipknot (their best video for me).
👏👏👏👏👏
Metallica's "One" is a fitting choic3 for the top spot. I don't think there's any self respecting heavy metal fans out there who haven't seen it. And if they haven't, they should

One is the best Metallica music video. I watched it when I was like 12 and it was dark and scary like a horror movie.
Every Tool video deserves to be on this list. But I'd rank Sober, Parabola and Aenima higher.
Prison sex too
I'm impressed with this list. Exceeded my expectations. I was expecting 10 80's hair-cheese metal songs.
It’s literally a crime that Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer is not at least top 3
Kerry King hated the shoot and result with every nerve in his body.
System Of A Down - Aerials
Avenged Sevenfold - A Little Piece of Heaven
A couple more honourable mentions:
Helloween - "I Want Out": a must-watch for anyone who loves bizarre music videos
Dokken - "Just Got Lucky": the video itself is nothing special, but the fact that George Lynch's shoes melted on top of an active volcano during filming is hilarious

Rock and roll 🎸
of all Alice In Chains videos 😒 Them Bones, Would, Again, Grind >
For epic heartfelt and badass music videos, might I recommend Christmas Truce by Sabaton

Slipknot 🔥🤘

Korn's Freak on the leash is awesome!
I'm surprised that Holy Diver made it. As far as Dio is concerned I've always preferred the video for 'The Last In Line.'
BRUH, CHECK OUT THE KILLSWITCH ENGAGE VERSION! Do "The End Of Heartache" next! Trust me, you'll love his voice. 🤟
In the 80's, I rented the movie 'Johnny Got His Gun' because of Metallica's video for 'One'....EPIC!!!!!!

The video for the song One by Metallica is the video / song / band that got me into heavy metal👍😈💀
Mentions Beavis & Butthead without mentioning that they tore apart the video for Breakin The Law… “it’s like I still like Judas Priest and all, but this sucks” - Butthead
Also should’ve mentioned for Sweating Bullets:
Butthead: “hey Beavis, this guy talks like you!”
Beavis(in Mustaine voice): “he does not talk like me.”
Where was system of a down?
Interesting list !
I was very happy to see a Tool video, any of their videos is a masterpiece of creativity and weirdness !
Just not sure that we can classify Alice in Chains as Heavy Metal, this is clearly a grunge band
Alice In Chains is in a genere called Sludge Metal which is a offshoot of Doom Metal (Black Sabbath). Grunge was more of a scene than a genre. AIC and Soungarden ( Also a Doom Metal band) sounded nothing like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
AIC got lumped in with grunge. Easily the heaviest to be considered grunge.
Aic is way more metal than tool.
Mouth For War by Pantera.
I see Mick Thomson in the thumbnail i click.
Not even a mention of Jeremy by Pearl Jam?
I thought Alice In Chains were a grudge band? And #1 is well deserved
A lot of bands are considered to belong to different subgenres depending on who you ask.
They are classified as Sludge Metal, a offshoot of Doom Metal.
What about Hurt - Rapture? The lyrics and the video still give me the creeps. In a good way that is…
Also on Dio's Holy Diver, the band Killswitch Engage made an even more metal cover of it. Easily one of the best covers ever.
You seen the video for Killswitch Engage's cover? It's kinda weird, if memory serves. But, let's be real here, the Howard Jones era is the best Killswitch Engage era.
Side note: "The End Of Heartache" is the best Killswitch Engage song, imo. 🤟
AS much as I love Linkin Park, choosing "Breaking the Habit" as honorable choice for "Heavy Metal" is very unfortunate, the band has so many better fits closer to "Heavy Metal": Bleed it Out, One Step Closer, Given Up, Faint...
