- How to clean a couch or sofa? How to clean it QUICKLY & easily with safe cleaners and NO equipment?? We've got you covered! My brother Eric has worked in professional cleaning, water damage & mold remediation for over 15 years and he'll show us how to get it done!!
*Note: having white clothes are helpful to see if you've gotten everything off so no rings are left. Eric made this look easy, but if you haven't ever cleaned your couches like me, it does take a good amount of elbow grease! His cushion looked perfect, the one I did looked spotty so I went back and did it more and then it looked much better!!

Had my husband order this right after watching this video. I am blown away by the results!!! After doing our "furniture inventory" recommended in a past video we have a love seat we would like to rehome, but it needed some tlc before I had the nerve to offer to anyone. The results are amazing!!

What would work for a leather couch? Just water or does he recommend the citrus cleaner as well?
Also, Mold! Our window sills in our bedroom always get condensation in the winter and get moldy (maybe mildew). What does Uncle Eric suggest? We have used concrobium, but is there another product that he would recommend.
Try saddle soap.

Very enjoyable and informative.❤ Wondering why you don't just put cute throws or covers over the couch cushions. I have a grey doggie paw one on my couch because my laid back Yorkie loves lazing. It's removed for visitors and washed very regularly.
Dawn this is awesome!! I really really need to clean my couch -with 6 kids very much needed!- but I always have a water ring left after cleaning it so I keep postponing it. This was the motivation I needed!!

I now keep a blanket tucked over the bottom couch cushions to protect the seats. It has saved my couch from so many spills and cat barf

Wow I was just about to use some natural all surface cleaner on my couch. It is really old and dirty and looking at it has been driving me crazy. I am really glad that I stopped to look up this information. He gave some really solid advice and I feel like I learned a lot watching him. It is also super cool to hear about some of these obscure jobs that they don't teach about in school. Super solid video. Also, first time on your channel I think I will check some more of your stuff out.

Speaking of vomit, recently had a run in with that myself...very concentrated area in a deep pile carpet. I mostly used vinegar and baking soda for the initial clean up. But feel like it needs more work. Best products to get rid of lingering residue?

Dawn, I am so thankful for you! The wall mounted furnace vent is right outside my bathroom door and very close to the stove. Moisture from the bathroom is causing it to rust, since there is no ventilation in the bathroom. We have thought about running a pipe into the adjacent laundry room ceiling and then outside. Anyway, this vent gets a little greasy from cooking in the kitchen, then collects dirt. I have removed and washed the vent several times, but I need an easy system to maintain it. The paint is also damaged from the moisturize.
By the way, I like your hair better with a few bangs.

That's also what I was looking through the comments for. I heard something about "a couple of drops". I'm assuming put in water, but not sure if what was in the bottle was all product, or if he added some of it to water. My cushions unzip. So i just unzip them, take the case off and throw them in the wash and dryer and put them back on. I love how easy it is to take care of them.
Mine do too but I have some stains that just won't come out that way... Probably because I didn't wash them immediately 🤦
@@jenniferh7129 did you try in warm water? I have dark dark gray blue colored cushions. I've even done a hot wash with bleach in the cycle. Once or twice won't even lighten the color.
Yeah I've tried pretty much everything! Bleach, oxiclean, stain remover, different temps... I just never have much luck with stains in general 🤷

amazing. My kids are the same age as yours and let me tell you....my furniture needed this video!! HAHAHAHA!! I have large ring spots in my bedroom rug. Years back I borrowed my mom's rug spot cleaner (meant for pet throw up) and used it to clean minor spots on the carpet. It left rings the size of dinner plates on my carpet floor. Hot water? Use the same orange product your brother suggests?
