I think I’m one of the few young people who actively uses an ereader (a kobo) as my primary reading device (primarily for cost and convenience reasons). I use it so much it’s actually more natural for me to read on it than a paper book despite growing up an avid reader of physical books and continuing to read a lot as an adult. Despite it being very convenient, holding a kobo for extended periods gets tiring, and having to position your hand so you can click the next page button or tap the screen doesn’t help. Additionally, it’s annoying to have to crane your neck down if you rest it on your lap. This product solves all of those problems, so it’s honestly something I might consider if I ever upgrade from my kobo forma (unlikely), but I can’t think of too many others who would actually use something like this enough to justify the price tag. The other question is whether it introduces too many new issues compared to the neck and arm strain issues it solves - will it be comfortable to look at, will it display EPUBs properly or can it only handle raw text, and will its low-res font be comfortable and easy to read? I wonder if they’ll do any demos anywhere, because I’m quite curious how it’ll be to use.
Then again, the only times I find my ereader inconvenient are in public places away from my reading chair or couch, and who wants to wear a pair of blinding glasses that make you look a bit like a dork out and about/on the bus?

This is probably one of the strangest in the new single use device wave. I think it's a neat idea, but I'd be curious to hear people's reactions if they absolutely love to read, I like reading, but not enough to spend $400 to put a device in front of my eyes to read.

For sure. With all of these, the experience matters and we can't know till we try I suppose! I do have questions, that's for sure.

Has your opinion shifted on the Xreal's? You mention how the build quality on them was good and that these kinds of enthusiast products tend to have a premium because of that. Have you grown more accustom to using them?

Sadly no :/ I continue to try and use them but it’s more frustrating than helpful. I think they just don’t work for me personally!
