    A gorgeous shawl,just what I was looking for as I have never crocheted a shawl before& this one looks like I could manage to do it. You have explained it very well, & thank you for that. I have watched tutorials on the foundation double crochet that you start off with & have never understood them, but thanks to you now with the stitch marker, I completely understand 👏👏. Thanks again for explaining it all so well 🥰. I can’t wait to start it. Cheers 🤗👏💕🥰❤️😍

    What are the multiples for the scalloped edge? I want to make my shawl a bit bigger.

  • @lisajones9898
    @lisajones9898 3 года назад +4

    If a person want to make this shawl larger for a prayer shawl is there anything different that needs to be done? Or just continue adding the increase rows?

    • @VanajaMaria
      @VanajaMaria Год назад

      I think it is multiples of 12 without counting 2 edge stitches. If you increase 3 lines you get 1 scallop. I am going to try first.

    Hello Marly,
    Unfortunately my scarf is not flattish like yours... I like it but its not what I pictured in my head because I don't want a V shape..
    I have finished this project however by row 37 I had way less that 166 stitches.. I had to continue until row 49 .. Problem is that my stitch increase per row is not 4 rather 3.. I'm just wondering if the last stich should be after the last HDC... I get confused here..

  • @themillarsdaughter

    I was wondering how the yarn that was carried up the side was hidden? A row of single or HD along the edge? Or did I miss something?

    Mine didn't come out crescent shaped along the neck side at all. Doesn't look like Marley's didbeither from what I can see.... followed instructions to a T... and still looks like a triangle shawl missing the very tip. :(

    • @mcd5478
      @mcd5478 3 года назад +4

      Me too. I wonder if I was crocheting too tightly on the ends...?? I’m thinking of trying it with a larger hook and / or doing more than 18 standing double crochets. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • @emmacastro584
      @emmacastro584 2 года назад +3

      The mine too, I think the instructions are missing something. I had knitting tree times and the same result, I feel frustrated with this video.

      My shawl isnt right at all. The neck is funky and if you bend the neck area down 8 rows its better but still not right. It wont even wrap around me. I have counted so many times and my count is perfect but its just not right. I have never had this much trouble with any tutorial from other creators and I have done many advanced patterns. My stitch count is perfect but project is not. Im very frustrated.

    • @themillarsdaughter
      @themillarsdaughter 7 месяцев назад

      I think the written pattern is all wrong, Marly seems to be working from something different. In some cases the stitch count is all out.

    Las instrucciones en este vídeo no están bien indicadas, yo he tejido y destejido este chal como tres veces , el error está en el comienzo del chal porque al hacer al comienzo y al final tres doble crochet y luego al comienzo de la fila o hilera la forma es de un triángulo . Si alguien lo tejió de acuerdo al vídeo por favor nos lo podría explicar mejor que el vídeo? Muchas gracias!

    • @eddiebell69
      @eddiebell69 Год назад

      Aún no he leído el patrón, pero las instrucciones son muy confusas en el video-tanto para el chal como para el borde. Yo definitivamente descarté seguir el tutorial y mejor hacer la orilla en otro proyecto. ☹️

    In the pattern, row 6, it says three doubles in the next five ch2 spaces but in the tutorial she only does two doubles! No wonder my edge was frilly! I might restart that part again. Very disappointing.

    For beginners you need to go slower, be more detailed and lay your work down after each row. I’ve ripped this out about six times using two of your videos! Unsubscribing now!
