Absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing your deepest thoughts on the process, especially your insecurities as an artist that many can relate to. I, too, struggle with imperfection. So much that I do not make art nearly as much as my soul longs to, which is a shame. But YOU inspire. I'm happy you enjoyed this piece! It is worthy of love and admiration in every way, just like you.
Thanks a lot! You’re so nice. I’m glad you related to it and didn’t find it weird, I was insecure even about sharing the video… but that happens to me every time. It is a shame, I hope you also try to let go a bit and enjoy the process and therefore paint some more 🙏🏻❤ I understand you because a while ago I even quit drawing and painting because of it. It’s a struggle
Yet again you astound me, beautiful work and all from your imagination, very creative. So glad I found you Yolanda, my frustrations were holding me back too, I am a perfectionist and want to create 'wow' paintings every time, these days I let go of the mind and enjoy the process however it turns out
That’s the best approach! I think for some lucky people it comes more naturally but other like us have to force it a bit more (or a lot!). I still ended up using some refs but loosely, I normally like to have a "finished” reference before I start painting, which is very time consuming too. Thank you so much! I’m very happy to have you here ☺
Hi, your art is beautiful!!❤ I see that you’re wearing a glove as you use the oil pastel crayons. Would you say that oil pastels aren’t as toxic as soft pastels? I get that soft pastels are a bit unsafe if used without ventilation or an air filter but would you say that oil pastels completely safe when used accordingly with gloves? I’m also wondering if pregnant ladies can use it as well. Thank you!
Hi 🙂 I wear gloves because oil pastels can be messy and sticky and I have to be touching my camera while recording so it’s easier for me to remove the glove, play with the camera and put it back on. That being said I don’t recommend using gloves while it’s this hot… I’m not currently wearing them either because last time I did my skin got very irritated and started peeling. About toxicity, because they don’t release any particles in the air they are pretty safe BUT even though Sennelier has AP label in all their oil pastels, some of them are made with heavy metals so I do not buy those even though they say they are not absorbed through the skin. As far as I know Caran d’Ache Neopastel doesn’t contain them. Mungyo and Paul Rubens don’t give you pigment information so who knows. Overall I believe they are very safe but if I think about my pregnant me a couple of years ago, I would use them with gloves just in case 😇 probably not necessary but I would.
@@YolandaBlazquez Thank you very much for the detailed information! How can you find out which Senneliers are made with heavy metals? You didn't actually use oil pastels during pregnancy?😀 I guess a lot of women take this into consideration and are extra careful.

Thanks so much 😊

That’s nice, I hope you like them as much as I do! ❤️
So beautiful, Yolanda. I also struggle with perfectionism - sometimes to the point of paralysis.
Thank you! I’m sorry, I know that feeling. It sometimes still happens to me but over time I care less if I fail and it’s gotten so much better

Can we use a cloth canvas for oil pastels or is paper a better choice. I'm a beginner and I'm likely to many more questions 😅
I think you can use it but I haven’t tried it. I prefer paper because it’s cheaper and easier to store 😊
@@YolandaBlazquez, thank you
nice 👍
Thank you ❤
Where can i find the full resolution picture, i want to use this as a phone wallpaper 😊
I haven’t made it available but thank you for your interest 😊
nice video
Thank you!
Of which brand the colour is ? Can anyone tell me
These are from Sennelier and Caran d’Ache. I have a video comparing four different brands in case you are interested 🙂

Felicidades.
