- Finally, we get the time to Play! Before removing the huge V12 engine from the Q7, Paul wanted to be sure what he needed to make the engine run without the rest of the car attached. It turned out to be a very simple job that meant we had the lump out very quickly and we could start planning its installation into our recently imported Single cab Amarok - • Our NEW Project!!! UK'...
We plan to use the brakes from the Q7 and convert to a 6 speed Manual Gearbox so the project requires the help of Luke at @DieselPumpUK to come up with an adapter and flywheel for the T56 Magnum gearbox - • As if one V12 TDI wasn...

That work on the wiring harness and getting it running without the immobiliser is a perfect demonstration of why you guys are the best in the business!

Ryan this is modern hot rodding at its best with a beast V12 diesel and T56 6 speed in a rear wheel drive Amarok ,this is going to be the most interesting build on RUclips for sometime to come looking forward to this superawesome build, i hope the rear diff in the Amarok is stout enough to handle the power or has said its prayers 😂

The engine management is hell on the V12 ,i had have ecu's trouble with water ,2 years to repair the car ...here in Belgium 😅 now its ok but 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵hard times passt ,

How 'easy' was that! (Ok not...) But folks used to make more fuss pulling a pinto out of their Cortinas when I was a kid. I guess once you're past the electrics it's basically the same, only bigger 😳 Looking forward to the next installment.

Maybe the lifting eyes at the back of the engine makes sense when mated to the gearbox? Perhaps it'd be level if you lifted from there with the weight of the box at the back?
Damn that is one hell of a lump isn't it. Looks like a nightmare to work on when it's inside even a big bus like the Q7 😫 Double ECU so can't imagine the complexities of attempting to remap that. Still looking forward to the attempt to get that in the Amarok should make for great content. Can we have the bits left in when you'll be effing and just beep them out 😂😂😂😂
Pretty much any work you need to do on these the engine comes out. There is just zero chance of getting to things. Had a coworker do an oil cooler on one and it just looked like a pain. That was i think like 50-60k swedish kronor which is around 5-6k€
complexities of a remap are flashing the same config into both ECUs... wouldn´t run otherwise.
That wiring is the stuff of nightmares 😆

That's a huge motor. It barely fits in the q7. Excited to see you squeeze it in to the single cab. Two ECUs? One per bank? Sounds like fun tuning that.

Could you do a buyers guide to q7 I’ve looked at a few and some had ecu issues but nobody seems to have a clue what’s what and what symptoms are got give you lot 10/10 you live and breath the range
We don't get involved with those sort of issues so not the best to do such a video. Buy later and don't go for a silly low miler. Get something that has been maintained!

Houuuu i would like make complete exhaust but the downpipe section was very difficult 😬 , with my hands i Can touch the turbo bride but ,see the way on your engine ...😳 Hmmm dpf out and replacement by tube is hard 🤔 ,i don't care my V12 will sing ! 😁
Instead of dimpling the exhaust tube to fit could you use oval tube to get volume area.

would it be possible to engine swap 1 ton ford or chevy/gmc or Ram trucks engines and swap it with this audi engine
It'll probably take a lot of work but i'm sure you could do it. Not something we have tried

Anything is possible but it's a huge engine

Nothing can do all 12 together, we will learn more tuning with OEM
Any plans to upgrade turbos on the 4.2 tdi in the d4 a8 ?
We have a Q7 booked in for big turbos and some other mods ;l
ECU1, and ECU2..

It's a 2010, please email with what do you need exactly, we are likely using the Q7 front hubs.
