That would be epic wonder what weight and dimensions the v12 tdis are could royally ruin the handling with that much possible weight in the wrong spot

Audi made a R8 V12 TDI it blow up on testing so they didn’t bother with it.

I've always wanted to do a RWD conversion on an old Passat with this engine. Would make a hell of a sleeper.

My mate had the 4.2 V8 TDI, I can only imagine what the V12 is like!
From what u see in vid, that chassis leg doesn't look near bad enough to warrant not repairing it. Would really like to see this built back up but with 1000hp 💪

Only 12.5🤣 That being said my 2.0 Megane holds just over 7l
Most little 2.0 petrol cars take like 4l. 12.5 is insane
@@ReubenHorner yeah my 2.0 petrol Clios take about 4.5l whereas the 2.0 diesel Megane takes a smidge over 7l

@@ReubenHorner my cayenne only does 8.5L. Had a mini that did around 3,6L.
It is a lot of oil when you pay for the oil change :P
Working in a shop selling parts for US cars, customers look upset when they find out they need to buy 10+ liters of oil, but it depends on the car, some diesels need a lot of oil.
My own car which has a huge engine, only needs 6 liters at an oil change if I swap the filter as well (which I do at any oil change,) and that's a 8.2 liter V8. (1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille for those curious, it's a 500cid engine.)

I'm watching this while my kid and wife are already asleep and I have to be cautious about the volume so I'm changing it back and forth. Please repair it propperly and Dont mess arround With it. This is s High spec Facelift One. They are really rare in This Good spec.
The broken egr pipe why not just weld on a an fitting on both ends assuming the other end is aluminium?
It's dirty and will need removing to do it!

Engine will come out anyways at some point. Dump the shell and sell it for parts, then swap the engine into a truck with a big engine bay or some body on frame offroad car, where you can lift the body in 30 mins for easy repairs.

I've seen rally cross Golf Mk2 with b5 1.8t quattro swap near my city in rally-x event, I wonder would it be possible to make like, a golf or polo dragster with engine straight, not sideways like 3.0 tdi in lighter chassis?

Put it in a first gen touareg. You would be king of touaregs. Or a cayenne tbh that’d be really cool, especially in a first gen, but those first gen touaregs with the v12 were really rare and so awesome, there’s very little of it on RUclips. I wonder what kind of monster it would be off road.

Just completely strip this chassis down and make it a drag car. It doesn't need to look pretty or even be perfectly straight.
Is there any after market ECUs that will run this beast?
There is a potential ECU but we will stick with the 2 factory ECUs

Out of curiosity, if you were to spend, say, £15k getting it right… would you still be in the green if you were to sell it? I’d love to see a v12 TDI R8 but seems a shame to not restore a rare car such as this if the chassis leg isn’t out.
It's a 35k car straight but on the register, I don't see a profit unless time is free!

All rate then..So like commenters want this engine fitted in the rear of the car, have they not realised that the would have to run counter rotational order for the car to propel forward and would not drive in reverse ? Which side the pulley sides face if you had to shoehorn it into an R8 ,
