This is the only correct tutorial on youtube, many don’t mention to compress the crown stem into the movement before measuring the distance between the crown guard and the crown base. Very important. Kudos to u man. I wasted many stems before coming across this video. Thanks brother!

May I ask, when you measure, you got 6.12mm but when you cut, you use 7.14mm what is the discrepancy between those two measurements?

Just finished my first watch and this was the last thing. I eyeballed it and cut without measuring. Got it right the first try by some miracle... The second hand was a totally different experience, however.

Hi, recently I brought a new movement to replace the old movement, and it uses a different stem. So I need to remove the old stem from the original crown, so that I attach the new stem to the original crown. Can you please show us how to remove the old stem from the crown? 🙏

I’ve bought 2 factory crown with a long stem, using pinch vise gripping crown
the stem will spin but will not spin off.
I’ve heated the stem thinking theirs glue
preventing the stem to thread out of the crown.Ever hear of that.Funny thing both
crown and stems do the same they won’t even tighten up factory Seiko 007 factory parts.
