      johny s i have watched a lot of repair videos and have done many repairs on cars i have bought and resold. this system being able to duplicate grain and color seems very good...i have been sanding my filler the way i do bodywork on cars..My question is where can i purchase a kit like this? and do you think its the best system...? i live in sw florida and interiors get trashed from the heat...any point in the right direction is appreciated....I had to give up my boat detail business...

    You need more aggressive molding technique to indent a real grain like texture, otherwise the patch is too smooth and flat so you can still see that there is something going-on on that spot!

    too bad after you spray the paint, the texture is covered making it look weird and unnatural.

    I'm going to start watching these videos from the end first. If the video doesn't cut short and shows a detailed inspection of the repair, I'll then watch the whole video. This is the 5th video I've watched on RUclips that dedicates about 5 seconds to the finished repair....There seems to be an obvious reason for that😡

    So in vinyl repair, what we do is take a small amount right off the top. it doesn't take much. that's the warmest part right here. i'm gonna invert the spoon. cover all 9000s grains. aerate it. warm it up, driving up that top note. that cream. pure vinyl. sweetner. mmm that's a 10! and now you can call yourself a professional.

    Thad, Thx for all the tutorials. You are truly a master.
    Question....
    Why do you need to change the color of the vinyl compound if you are going to paint over it anyways?

    Never seen this kind of an application for leather re-work. Most of the time is for removal of wrinkles.

    1st, there's still dirt in your cracks and 2nd I would spray a small grain over the repair and then some to blend it in.

    so i was wondering i have 2 small rips like this that are repairable with kits ive seen from companies but i also have a palm sized hold in my leather, i was just wonder if i was to find a piece of leather matching could i put it in and then do this whole step by step to repair the big hole by basically treating all the sides like this. so essentially you have the new leather in the whole and 360degrees around the rip you repair just like this video. or should i get a new car seat?

    Guess this is all good, If you have a a small piece you can take off and do in a nice small controlled area. In the real world when you have a rip in something that can be taken apart this really isn't easy nor practical.

    I was attacked and stabbed. I was wearing a very expensive Danier leather jacket and the inside of the left arm was completely soaked with blood which in turn dried and has cracked very badly. Is there any way to fix this, or will I have to completely replace the jackets arm with a new piece of leather? I took it to one leather craftsmen here where I live and he said he was unable to even attempt to do such a complex fix. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, than you in advance.

    Too bad the kit is over $800 dollars! They are probably not making a lot of money at that rate!

    • @SAMCAMJAIK1
      @SAMCAMJAIK1 8 лет назад

      Is it really $800? You can buy a similar repair kit at WalMart, eBay or Amazon for $8. Doesn't come with as many tools tho. Just the basics.
