He is so right! No disrespect to LeBron James but Steph Curry deserved the Olympic Tournament MVP. I still think people should complain, because it was soooooo obvious that had Steph Curry had not come into the game with Serbia, the US Team would not have qualified to compete for the Gold. Before Steph came in when he did 4th Quarter against France when he did, there would be no Gold. This was his first Olympic Tournament. He showed up on time❗️

Maybe it's partly his unique kind of greatness. Steph is generally one of the shortest guys in a game, but 7-footers guarding him can't keep him from shooting over them from nearly half-court...unblockable! But note that ability at making 3-pt. shots more and better than anyone has ever approached, ever! What's often lost is how Steph is also one of the best penetrators in the NBA, so that one of his 40-pt. playoff games featured how more than half of those points were inside. Lots talking heads harp on his alleged lack of athleticism...really? Doesn't his de facto do-it-all success cast askance on such dubious criticism? How many fans still recall the 2 times, in the Olympics, when LeBron used Steph as a successful dunk target...Steph was above the rim! Must be envy that so many wannabes don't want to give this GOAT his due. He's not displacing LeBron, nor Kobe, nor Jordan, nor Nikola, nor Luka, or Jerry West, etc. But, vice versa stands, too...they couldn't be Steph either.

Then he scored the 36pts but only scored 7pts the next game. Finally he had the 24pt championship game. That’s only two really good games and one ok game. box score will show, yeah he's not doing great, but fans, who understand basketball as a whole and do not rely on box score alone, know that him being inside the court alone is already a threat. watch and observe how his teammates get opened looks just because opponents are too focus on where he is on the court. in the Olympics team, he doesn't need to score, he just needs to make things easy for the rest just by moving around. but, he will score when it matters most. just like what he did in the semis and gold medal match.

@@christopherpaul7588 Not for an official NBA team. Literally just for the Olympics. If all the best players can get together for an all star game then they should definitely be getting together for the Olympics. IMO.

Noah Lyles ain’t never lied though. That was facts. One of the dumbest and most asinine titles ever. You are a world champion when you play against the world.
Steph’s most iconic game must be one of the games against Boston at the Garden in 2022. The one where he dropped 43 and the final game. That final game had the night-night celebration, the gimme-my-ring was brazen considering it came in the 3rd quarter. That whole series felt like a Steph moment.

Curry's clutch shots in the Olympics were nothing short of spectacular! But does this make him the undisputed best point guard ever, or does Magic Johnson still hold that crown? Which side are you on?

Guys nba champs still.wont be world champs. Everyone in usa thinks we are contesting if they are the best team in the world if they win nba. But that is not the discussion even if we think they won the hardest league in the world and in theory are the best you are only a world champ if u win a world competition. Football "soccer" if u win champions league you are the best team (in theory) but they are only world champs of they then win club world cup a few months later even though no1 cares abput that competition. Its not about deserving or being the best. Just nba is an american league so u cant be a world champ even if we admit you are the best team in the world. Why is this hard to understand?

well yeah that's why he won MVP. It's well deserved. But there's an argument for both guys you gotta admit. Steph was brilliant and they needed his performance especially against Serbia to win gold

Thing is, Noah Lyle's was right. American exceptionalism is so disgusting to people across the world who we in the US basically considered the bench to our a-list world here. The world doesn't see us like we see us--they see Trump and Marjorie Taylor Green and gun massacres and racism, not the rah-rah, Patton meets Clint Eastwood shit that most flagwearing boomers think of our world image. We got lucky in this tournament and it took the best shooter in world history to save our asses. Be humble, America.
