I remember hating what Curry was doing at the time as they were one of our biggest rivals before the Kawhi saga. Still, when Steph Curry retires, I will shed a tear. The impact that he made on this sport is insane for just one man. I was happy for him to win his Finals MVP and even happier to see his clutch performances win the US the gold medal this year. I’d never seen the game played that way ! And Steph was just pure joy …. I knew then that the NBA had to play catch up on outside shooting. of course, America still had the best athletic Basketball players, so their dominance was all but assured, but playing in a LOCAL game and watching normal regular guys killing 3PTs showed me the future of the game.
