This guy is the best, he's very technical and kind of dry but always slides in the one-liners to wake you up. Love it.
Fuck his settings.
More changes than Simon Cowells face over the years 😂🤣
Tcl ✌✌✌😍👌
burn!
Didn't take him long to throw in a jab
Classic VINCENT tech
*DING* :)
YOU FINALLY GOT ONE. Been patiently waiting for this while ignoring the coverage from other outlets.
Is this TV on sale yet?????
@@fepethepenguin8287 don’t believe so.
@@johnraynor4412 ya...
Looking around. Seems next month
@@fepethepenguin8287 In Russia you can already buy it in official lg store
Its already for sale in netherlands since this week
So many mouthfuls in this video! Glad you got one and walked us through the settings, Vincent!
These are one of the best videos on this channel. Informative, knowledgeable and to the point. Thank you.
This is becoming my favorite RUclips channel.
20:51 minutes well invested. Using your recommendations on my G1. Many, many thanks Vincent. You rock.
I find myself throughly being engaged in learning the settings and what they do. Thank you. Looking forward to my C1 arriving soon
In the future, it would be great to have you make the C1 and G1 the best settings for these TVs so that the average user can enjoy the picture accuracy a little more.
Tomas it's not rocket science for the average consumer if they just bother to do some simple research.
Turn off all the artificial processing like digital noise reduction, edge enhancement etc. And use the Filmmaker picture mode to get a accurate picture when watching blu ray, 4K blu ray, movies on Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix.
But if your spending £3000 or more on a flagship television like the LG G1, Sony A90J, Panasonic JZ2000. Then a extra £150 to get the television properly calibrated is definitely worthwhile.
@@C--A In my country finding a TV calibrator is a mission impossible.
@@Tomas-js4wt It's true what he says though. It is not difficult to do yourself and there are good calibration discs already available for consumers to buy. Also why should Vincent give his calibration settings away? "If you are good at something, Never do it for free" :)
@@andreaswright stop watching to many movies with the bullshit if your good at something never do it for free .if these guys want subscribers there going to give settings......it works like that son you help me I help you .

Vincent can't wait for more posts on G1
I'm waiting to make decision on either A90J or G1 from LG as I've saved up over last few years for this.
I finally got it :)
Just setting it up !
Thanks for all the help.
Thank you for listing 🙏🏾 been wondering the best setting and now I know! You have saved us once again
I can't wait for your review. I have a 65C6p and have never even thought of upgrading until maybe now, depending on how much of an improvement you see with this panel and processor.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the G1 and if it's suffering any losses in picture quality (color accuracy, shadow detail, etc) as a first gen panel. Also if the a9gen4 is improving picture quality or near dark detail in the G1 and C1 over the CX
I have played with every setting over and over again on my G1. My HDR10 and Dolby Vision content always seemed weird to me. I could never see the big deal with HDR. I then turned the color upgrade to high and now I am loving what I see. It is more balanced, much better clarity and depth. I do not see over saturation or any weird color anomalies. I am very happy with this TV after adjusting the the color upgrade. Cinema Home. DV IQ on. Brightness high. All motion settings off. Warm 50. Color fine tune upgrade high. HDR10 settings the same as DV except for light sensor off and tone mapping off. Works for me.
As always an excellent and well explained review of his setting. Love it.
Now go get that Sony A90j.
Thanks for the review as always Vincent ,top notch.
Man i love this guy.. I love how he casually says something crazy and just continue talking..
I've been waiting for your review.
G1 vs GX comparison please 🙏🏼 and showing their peak brightness side by side would be awesome! I’m in two minds which one to buy 😬
@@jjnewbold still not sure if my buy of the g1 was wise in comparison to the gx as of its cost factor 🙃
@@jjnewbold what's your opinion of your G1 now?
We would like to see more about the new smart UI plarform if you can, and we are waiting for game mode as well for you next video!
Thank you Vinset!
Most interested in all the PC gaming related content with G-Sync (including black levels), PC mode performance with full RGB chroma and the brightness drop with fulfilled peak luminance. Thanks for the content. Can‘t wait for more on the G1, A90J and JZ2000!
Change label to game console and all picture settings have low input lag
I just bought a brand new lg oled b1 and got no OLED Screen Saver Setting under Support. Do you know whats wrong there pls?
@@Dornpunzel
They are now buried one level deeper since the latest firmware. Go to support -> OLED Care -> OLED Panel Care. That‘s at least how it is on the C1 and G1. Let me know if that works on the B1 as well.
@@ledooni Thx a lot mate.
@@princessazulablue Do you mean for gaming purposes? Because Vincent said for gaming you should choose "PC" for your HDMI which will give additional features, and choose "Game" in Picture Mode for lowest input lag.
Looking forward to your full review and opinion on this model! (as it’s on my wish list)
all I’d want to know is does the evo panel make a difference? how does it perform gaming and with 4K Blu-ray? And soundbar connectivity in regards to compatibility will I need to upgrade a 2018/2019 model (Sony HT-ZF9)
Look forward to more of your videos and puns 🙌🏼
Nice Vincent! Very excited for these!
We need promptly a comparison video between this and last year's (CX and GX)
Eagerly waiting for this. I just got my CX last week. If this is better I would look to return it and upgrade to a G1.
@@EdgeOfFuzz It is better in every way you should return the LG CX for the LG G1.
@@ZackSNetwork how so? In a comparison on the LG site the specs are near identical other than the audio and cosmetics.
@@EdgeOfFuzz g1 has a brighter screen
@@EdgeOfFuzz 20% more efficient panel in the 2021 LG G1 so a bit better picture quality than last years 2020 LG OLED tv's.
I'm guessing you bought your LG CX on the big LG television discounts sale last week. So it might not be worth returning it and paying double or more for the LG G1.
Comparison between last years models, and also G1 vs A90J. Would be interesting to see.
I second that
Tcl ✌✌✌😍👌
comparison to x95j too please (and maybe qn90a)
A90J vs G1 will be the battle of the year....
We need this
It would be interesting to get your perspective on the reflection characteristics in different ambient lighting conditions during your review of the G1. Many thanks. This is typically overlooked and not mentioned during reviews, including many so far for LG 2021 Evo and the Sony A90J.
thx as usual for the videos, you mention the HDR Tone mapping/Dynamic tone mapping setting ON - sometimes when its on its too bright on HDR movies, do you recommend it to be left On or Off? Or should one adjust it on or off per movie if its too bright.
Hello, love the channel @hdtvtest! 🙂 Would you still suggest using the details outlined in this video since the recent LG bug fix update or will you be doing another (updated) video re: picture settings soon??
Hey Vincent, loving the content... and the humour 🤣
I have a 'quickie' regarding projector calibration - would you by any chance have the calibration settings for an Epson TW-650 projector? Thanks in advance and keep up the great content! 👍
Wait what. I thought you had TV delivery delays. But you got the G1! Amazing!
Looking forward to the review and measurements soon. Cant decide what to buy with just a picture settings guide 😂😂
Big virtual men hug!
And I'm only by the first tip. :-)
I got my G1 yesterday and thanks to you it will be only one day of irritations.
Thanks for the vids Vincent, I really enjoy learning about picture settings etc… but I think I am miles behind because I recently bought the 65” C1 and moved my 55” B8 into my bedroom and I have to say that I am disappointed up to now because the picture quality on my B8 is outstanding and can’t even replicate it on my C1 never mind improving it, which is so frustrating cause I feel like I have wasted £1600? I have tried calibration settings from 3 different sources and none of them are very good! Any advice please?
Hi Vincent, great channel! what Settings in the LG C1 effect colour accuracy? And is there are a video with preferred or optimal settings? 🙏🏽
Very helpful! Thankyou 👍🙂
Hey man, great videos. I have the C1, I'm just curious as to why some of my settings are blurred out under fine tune and white balance. For example it won't let me adjust the color temp in nearly all of the HDR picture modes. As well as the game optimizer modes.
Great video, thank you. I’ve had the TV a few months now and love it. I’ve lost the eco picture mode and I happen to quite like it. I usually leave it on standard mode with my own adjusted settings. How do I retrieve the eco mode picture setting? Many thanks.
I am missing some options from the "Select Mode" menu. The title of the menu is also different (HDR Select Mode) I am very much looking forward you your indepth coverage on the settings! Great content!
Peak brightness, PQ, console/pc gaming comparisons to CX and A90J. Your opinion on purchase vs A90J or CX/1
Settings menu lookin like a first gen Samsung Bluray player, you know the ones that Costco sold with the cheap surround speakers back in like 2003 😂
Exactly. Everything about the updated WebOS is horrible!
Thanks for the video information
Test the nits compare it to the A90J
They know that's what we actually care about, but we get everything else instead lol
Omg! I hope the new Sony will be an easier set up, great work in any case love your work
@13:12 what ! You're monochrome ! Great video and great explanations on how to use the settings and what each setting does and means. Keep up the good work. Me and my TV appreciate it - oh and my eyes do too !
Thank you for the effort
Vincent can you test if BFI is improved and doesn't crush shadow detail? It seems to do it again when you put it on low but who knows. Thanks.
Nice info. When are you doing an LG G1 vs Sony A90J comparison?
Just what I have been waiting for! Imagine how mad Quantum is 🤣
He is certainly pissed at the guy that is reviewing his Sony A90J 😂😂😂
You know more than a thing or two probably hands down you’re the best
Thank you, this is great! I have a bright room with direct light from a slider door. I watch a Samsung from 2008 on dynamic mode! Do you think this would be bright enough for my situation?
Eagerly awaiting the Master Teoh review!
Tcl ✌✌✌😍👌
a game optimiser settings video would be much appreciated.
and if you could address the sound options (how atmos works on this tv and if you can connect additional speakers to it)
Haha so interesting just going into picture setting like the fact you have the greatest and latest is just a day in the park. 🤣
Could you do a vid showing how to properly set it up as pc monitor? Their new menu is confusing the heck out of me
I hope to see the results of the extra perceived brightness and its affect on color in high luminance situations on the G1 and compared to the C1.
Vincent, when your cable tv provider outputs the HD tv channels with 1080i, should I set the 4K cable box to 4K and let the cable box do the upscaling, or should I keep my cable box output at 1080i and let my C1 do the upscaling? Coming from a Panasonic 50GT50 plasma, i'm still not convinced about non-4k content on my C1 oled. Greetings from the Netherlands. Great YT channel, I use all your settings, also for Xbox series X. Thank you.
A video on recommended picture settings please. And also what people should configure who are using an AVR to transfer video game and movie input through the same HDMI port. (Once appropriate HDMI 2.1 capable receivers are out there)
great vid, would really love VRR capability tested ie: black levels, dolby vision support, basically how does it do playing xbox SX games at 60 and 120fps. Thank you
would you provide a summary on which settings should be changed for a calibrated screen? :)
Really value your opinion one question I had is some other RUclipsrs have suggested that setting Adjust Logo Brightness to High is the safest option adjusting to the high being the most aggressive and low being the least aggressive can you confirm?
Great video. What are your thoughts on TruMotion? With respect to the c1, is it better to keep it on or off?
Please do audio sync tests, both from input sources and using output speakers vs built in
Been waiting for this. Very excited to see your review.
Hi Vincent, thank you for all you information!
I have a question regarding the different models - where can I find the differences between the 11lb, 17lb and 19la?
Thanks in advance!
BR, Vinzenz
Hi, I think it would be great if you make a video about TV calibration, how to get reasonable result in reasonable time etc. Thank you
Hello Vincent. Please need advice. I'm a little confused. In the video tutorial from Avforums, you set Filmmaker mode HDR Tone Mapping to off and in your video tutorial you set it to on. Which setting is best for the best image quality reproduction? You set colors and white balance in SDR Filmmaker mode, but Avforums advises not to do anything about it. I believe you have a reason for that. Is Filmmaker mode color and white balance set the same in HDR? Your answer will help me a lot. I have the first oled. LG C1. Thank you.
Looking to improve my LG OLED experience, clicked subscribe at the Simon Cowell joke, that was all I needed I’m in haha
The logo brightness should it be on high or low or even off . Thanks , nice video helpfull
Thank you very much for all the technical and real life details in your explanations, Mr. Teoh.
Can you please make a video on the G Sync 4K 120hz gamma performance vs the CX?
Please do a comparison video between the G1 And Sony a90j once you have both tvs. Cant decide which of the two to purchase 😕
Ooo how about a comparison for LG G1 with Sony A90J !? Such a price difference, will be interesting to see how these 2 flagships compare to each other
No production Sony A90J has arrived in the UK yet due to Brexit and customs.
I just wanna see an all out war between the G1, JZ2000 and AJ90 already 😂
Yes!
To right what a tv war. lol
A90J is best oled ever made beside 8K LG ZX and Z1
I don’t mind eating out, as long as there’s no lettuce on the tacos 🌮
How bout cheese?
Can you do a video about the auto HDR implementation in the new windows insider build
I like the new menus; they look less cluttered, the settings are more clearly named and the menus take up less space on the TV. They do look a bit sluggish to navigate though and I am not keen on the new fullscreen Home menu, much prefer the pop up bar near the bottom of the screen on my B9.
Hey @HDTVTest, should I get the 65" Samsung QN90A or wait till QD-OLED comes out? I want a new TV for PS5 gaming at 4K120 with VRR but with my current use case, I am scared of burn in as I tend to play a lot of games with static HUDs for long periods of time (pretty much all day) and I tend to fall asleep while playing them and wake up the next afternoon with the game on and repeat the cycle. It brings me joy in life. I am tempted by the infinite contrast by QD-OLED and I hear that it will get brighter than current OLEDs while having reduced burn in risk. I don't know how much of that is true so I wanted to ask you. Do you think it will be able to reach the brightness levels of current QLEDs (like around 1800-2000 nits peak brightness)? Will the panel take a lot longer (like a few more years) before burn in is noticable? Cost is another factor. If the QD-OLEDs will be released at 5 figures, then I would much rather get the QN90A now but if it will be released below $3500 for 65" then I may consider it. Any info or advice you can provide would be helpful for me to make an informed decision. Thanks Vincent!
Please remember to measure also game mode brightness (hdr) to see if it is anyway nerfed.. same goes for near black performance.
Would love to see you compare the peak 10% and 100% HDR brightness with the A90J, as well as picture quality. Remains to be seen whether OLED evo panel or heatsink is more beneficial.
The A90J has both the panel and the heatsink, so it's probably going to be better.
@@mudlin2594 AVF and TechRadar posted that Sony confirmed that A90J is not equipped with the new Evo panel.
Please do review of S21 Ultra Display , Tab s7/s7+ and samsung amoled monitors as well
Hello, I just see your review, and I want to thank you for this. I did exactly like in your tutorial. Just one question. The adjust logo brightness, I saw on other tutorials, that must be set to HIGH to prevent burnin and not to LOW. So, what's corect answer? Thanks!
Is there an embargo on you reviewing the C1? If so when does it end? Hope they haven’t downgraded it to give more distance between the C1 and G1 given the competitive pricing.
Just got my G1 and looking for an optimized setting. Are there any full settings recommendation?
What are you guys getting between the Cx C1 and G1? I’m not sure, was thinking of getting the cx cause it would be cheaper in a few, not sure how much of an improvement new processor is but same panel. Or just get the G1 if the difference is that much better in picture quality
do you have a video like this for the cx?
Woooo, can't wait for the review Vincent!
Please also test the VRR gamma issue if you are able to along the usual
This year might finally be the year I go from plasma to OLED, I hope the C1 is good.
Please tell us the peak brightness in 10% window and also if ABL has been eliminated or at least greatly reduced
So have you tested the true motion? Which one better ? I checked in your other videos and couldnt find.
I'm really curious what is the best settings to use with older Gaming devices - as in some cases you might want some of the enhancements on. Anyone noticed anyone ever do that as a piece of content ?
Vincent, I like to know if your review sample has the same problem with moire or fine horizontal lines in bright or whitish content (like skys), as the CX has. I've had now two 77CX at home and besides banding and generel blotchiness in near black scenarios this moire was really annoying and something my old 65E6 and 55EF5 don't have.
I'm finding there is lots of detail on what you can do, but I'm struggling to learn what you should do. When he leaves a menu, has he left it with the recommended setting selected?
I've got the c1 55 inch really impressed with the TV doesn't need a sound bar in my opinion
I’m getting the same for my ps5, have you used Vincent settings and how is the performance
Finally ... I am very pleased with the "energy confirmation notifications" (see 1:05) seem to only pop up in very few cases ... prior to watching this video I was quite afraid of possibly seeing a similar extremely annoying approach like Sony tvs have...
As always: Great video! 👍🏻
In your review, please check for the smoke/fog stutter in WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES, which has been present on all Panasonic OLEDs of the past years.
Also, please compare the G1 with the C1, and both models with their predecessors GX and CX.
i just purchased a cx too. But a 55" at 999$ i have no regrets, lol

Great deal once got a 55c8 for $750 from an av store in PA back in 2019 best deal I ever got, still works great. My 65 C9 was 1.5K more!
Great price indeed. I feel lucky I got cx for 1230 euro. I believe best prices in the uk were in the same range of 1230 eur (1050 gbp)
He definitely knows how to make u think 🤔 that you don’t know s*** about Picture setting’s. 👍🏻
Is peak brightness off also recommended for Sony OLED? That would make it very dim; even in a pitch black room.
Is the tv-stand the same used with the GX (AN-GXDV65) or
an updated version?
Could you do an updated version with the latest updates? I also use a Nvidia shield, perhaps some tips for that as well with the C1?
