Joe I have the new Cayenne GTS Coupe 2024 model. That's the one to go for. Started £107 and with it to speak the final price of £125. Full Club Leather. Sports Exhaust Air Suspension. 21" Michelin Tyres. Yes please try the GTS. Top speed 171mph.
The sports exhaust makes a huge difference on the S. Very quiet without and a lovely V8 burble when optioned and activated. In fact on the GTS in Sports Plus you get alot of pops and crackles on over run. Definitely a must have option on the V8 whilst they are still around!
Not sure what you are saying? You expect free? The first aid kit for my 2022 Mazda Miata was $45 as itemized on the sticker. Free is what drives up costs for everyone else.
I love this spec. This is old money Porsche. Id just have cream seats. Having lots of sidewall on the 20’s, the chrome trim, the no sport exchaust. Love it. I’m pretty sure you get engine sound played through the speakers with the Bose or Burmester sound system? I know on the Taycan that can happen so I wonder whether they do that with the cayenne. I love your videos. They’re so informative and entertaining
@@joetacchino4470 Its a lovely car. I had the same engine in an X3 M40d which felt quicker. However, the X5 is so much more luxurious and with the right options some nice toys. The air suspension gives a nice ride even on 22" wheels
I have an S with $35k options, including all the mechanical/suspension ones which are more than half of that amount and definitely needed. I wouldn’t call the Cayenne pretty but my car drives better than any BMW, Mercedes or LR. I love it, it’s comfortable but quite sporty, the steering is perfect and the gear change in sport is great - roadholding is better than any SUV. My weekend car is a manual 992.2 GT3 Touring and I don’t miss it (too much) during the week. I strongly recommend the Cayenne but you need to have the right options, and I am not talking about the aesthetic ones which are nice to have but not essential.
I had the base eHybrid as a loaner last week. Was also disappointed with the turn in and feel, so maybe it’s the wheels. Love the videos Joe, keep them coming!
You're totally right! I failed to get any decent pics of the car when I had it 🙄 I have found a generic Porsche press pic to use now, let's see how that goes... Cheers!
Not just wheel diameter for handling. Contact patch as well. Yes you have a lot of weight at the front. Heavy cars can absorb bumps better. I had pre facelift ehybrid on 22s and ride was acceptable as was handling. But could feel the weight.
yeah, but Porsche GB have so much unsold stock currently they'd probably take 50p and a bag of toffees for it. Sytner are sitting on something like 350 unsold 911s....
I've got the S in Algarve Blue, part of c£30k of options I specified, including 22" wheels but not the sports exhaust. I think the bigger wheels do improve the handling and not in my opinion to the detriment of the ride. But I disagree with the comments on the sports exhaust. I don't want to be a hooligan and draw attention to myself, I'd rather drive quietly and smugly knowing what a great engine I have under my right foot.
I agree I have the Montego Blue with grey 21 inch wheels and quad non-sport exhaust, and I love the refined quietness and push back in the seats of the torque. My 991 911 has the Porsche sport exhaust and it perfect for that car....
Love your video Joe, but in regards to the car: it looks like from 10 years ago and aged. Interior isnt looking anything modern. (just my personal opinion)
No idea what he is talking about’ vague handling and lack of v8 noise etc … just got one in US and it drives amazingly well almost perfection with that V8 unique sound noticeable even at low rpm! I think you just like electric golf cars so stick to those.
@@JohnGuidetti751 oh I didn’t know, fair comment thank you! I honestly can not fault this car even the things I was unsure about like the shifter placement and digital dash seem great now, the only thing I dislike so far is this annoying jerky start/Stop, why this is not off by default is beyond me:)
Awful means "I'll stick to my boring Asian appliance suv", because I can't afford this anyway. Exception is Ioniq 5N but that is really an XL size EV hot hatch.
Dreadful excuse for an automotive solution. manufacturers need to move away from these heavy, expensive and dreadfully boring floating lounges…. Bring back the simplicity of 80’s and 90’s with modern engineering!
Suv are too heavy, tall for any spirited driving and they are not comfortable. People that drive them don't buy them for driving experience but for status and sense of invincibility.
lol. I owned a 911 Turbo S, and have two Cayennes. I took our EHybrid on a drive with our Porsche club and had no issues leading a pack of 911’s. It’s no sports car, but it’s hardly what you say. Keep thinking your generalizations are accurate if it makes you feel better.
@@joetacchino4470 100% I have a 991 911 and bought a 2024 Cayenne in June, I am still surprised at how well this SUV drives and handles. Not quite a 4 door 911, but it goes around corners amazingly!. I took a few laps at Summit Point Raceway and its very capable on a race track, and then you drive home in quite and luxury with a smooth ride....
Loving the rims. Getting sick of seeing 23/24" hotwheels rims everywhere
Partly true, but 21 on RS Spyder rims and golden P crest would have been nicer
@@louisebiber agreed but this is an xtra 3g plus tax in US.
I think the more sporty GTS varient is the one to choose if you're concerned with the sound of the V8.
More money though.
@@joetacchino4470 If you spec the S like the GTS it costs more...
Huge premium. The sport exhaust is only a $3500 option.
The base cayennes are always a treat. They look great without gimmicks. I love the chrome stuff too.

Fortunate enough and at an age
I was able to purchase my Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe cash. 👍
The gts only comes with black trim which I really don’t like …
Please check the configuration you have plenty of choice regarding the interior.👍

£9 for the first aid kit is to cover the time taken for the Porsche employee to pick the box off the shelf, and take it over to the car 💰
Not sure what you are saying? You expect free? The first aid kit for my 2022 Mazda Miata was $45 as itemized on the sticker.
Free is what drives up costs for everyone else.
Maybe it is to get the buyer aware of there is one, (by having it as an explicit choice)
A well specced one is the perfect car. And let me tell you, with the sport exhaust it sounds awesome. Much better than Bmw and Mercedes

Old money shape. Time for a new model. This shape is looking as stale as 3 week old bread.
@@dimsoneill Would much rather have a sleek understated design that is a bit dated, compared to whatever the hell BMW is doing these days.

Fantastic review Joe. Dad used to say V8 or nothing! Thanks for sharing mate.
Have the pre-FL GTS with this engine with PSE (standard on GTS) and it sounds absolutely glorious, even if the exhaust is not activated.
Joe, great review and insights. Long time fan. Keep up the great content.
Thanks
The porsche engineers wouldn't get the base model be better than the heavier hybrid offerings.
Great car and enjoyed the video but Joe the thumbnail is anonymous, I nearly missed it. Change it to have a picture of you in it and views will soar.

Always spec dependent. This one looks naff exterior wise. Colour is fine but hadn’t realised it was now a really expensive option 😊

I had a v8 Turbo S diesel for a while. While it had nearly 400hp. It was a bit heavy so didnt feel that fast.
Enjoyable video and I have to admit I got distracted a few times so I might have missed it if he mentioned the MPG. Anyone know?
no 3.0 diesel in that car is a crime
It's like that since 2018
Great video Joe, having driven them all, would you go for this, X5 50E or M3 Touring for a daily to be used on UK roads?
Don’t like them ,too bland imho
Great review, again! They look dated... 🤔 I'll definitely have the first aid kit though, bargain... 😂
Love Porsche cars but not suv. Personally, i would prefer X5.
Hi Joe will you be reviewing the M3 LCI soon thanks
I have a X5 M60i now and looking at Cayenne GTS. Would you go S or GTS, or Suzy M60i BMW?
Its crazy the Macan EV looks better now i think. Wish it had a v8

How does the steering and handling compare to that Audi SQ7 / SQ8 you drove?
5:10 people are crazy to pay this.... in a few months price x3
is this to fill the losses of the taycan???

BMW X5 40D is same 0-60 and you'll get 38 mpg
Starting to be the only brand I care about anymore
Porsche options lists will never be ok.

Deffo needs an akrapovic on it
Nice cars, but I really struggle with Porsche's value proposition these days.
Still looks dreadfull
Needs more than a facelift, time for a complete new design, this is looking as stale AF.
Porsche options prices!
Who ever spec’d this car was very boring.
They still remind me of Bart Simpson
People don’t want a racket from the exhaust in a luxury car, get a 911 if you want noise !

In Europe the V8 has extra filters so it will be quieter than a US spec S

didn't catch whether or not it had rear wheel steer,, and the one to get is the GTS
Yes the GTS has rear wheel steering.
£105K for an ugly Touareg. No thanks! Great review though, Joe.
It’s competitive to its equivalent X5M60i or SQ7/8 or GLE53 in price. The Touareg is the only VW model to use a Audi platform the MLB.
Bus stop on wheels
This looks so boring and bland. Nothing special or exciting about it in my opinion. Theres so many other options to consider if you want this engine
That Cayenne is a terrible spec. It needs sport exhaust, rear steer, PTV and PDDC, and of course michelin tyres. Tranforms it.
