Project F80 M3 : Evolve Stage 2 Upgrade - ECU Tuning and Downpipe F82 M4

- With the run-in service complete we can finally start getting stuck in to modifying our Competiton Pack LCI 2 F80 M3. We start by removing the main restriction in the exhaust, the downpipe with catalytic converter. We change this out for our Evolve Catless Downpipe which significantly decreases the restriction, and changes the exhaust tone.
With this fitted we then apply our Stage 2 Map, to remove the EML warning and to take advantage of the extra power that can be made.
With these two modifications and the stock competition pack exhaust the car sounds great with the valves open. Definitely something we could recommend for someone with an earlier car looking for more sound without going OTT.

Evolve Automotive he is doing a good job. I have been researching myself and this is quality. Looks like you should be monetized correct. So some profits flowing. But I have been hearing people having over 1,000 subs and the necessary watch time but still not monitized?!
BULLI KID yes been monitized for a while but couldn't access the email linked so just changing that over. Profits from ads is very low and not worth it alone. We use this platform to document what we do as others will find it interesting and it forms part of our marketing.

did you have to strengthen the crank hub for this ? this is also with the stock midpipe and 2nd cat in ?

Did you get any map vs map real world results? I like the flat power curve at 520+ bhp versus the majority that fall off rapidly above 6000 rpm.
Wouldn't this modification fail the emissions test?

Hello. I have a f80 with catless downpipes and drop in k and n air filters. I have been running a ess ecu flash since 1200 miles and almost 4 yrs now. Might you have a better map available? Last dyno pull was 485bhp and 465torque. Thankyou
Yes, we should be able to get more power than that.
Also advise checking your MAFs, assume the K&N panel filter is oiled and oiled filters kill MAFs.
I have also a bmw m3 competion. I wanna change the Exhaust but its verry expensive, give these cattles downpipes engine error’s, let me know !

Yes you'll need a remap to remove the engine management light from having catless downpipes. Cheapest solution for a little more sound would be a backbox mod.

Do I need to ship the ecu? Can I clean the mafs with mafs spray cleaner?
No we send you a cable which you use with Windows laptop. You can try and clean MAFS like that but we find that once they are oiled they dont clean very well.
Thinking of buying a m5 f10 what kind of power can I get for a daily driver
We daily drove our F10 M5 at Stage 2+, and have customers who daily drive ones that are tuned even further. It's more how much money do you want to spend or what power do you want. Stage 1 is a great upgrade for the money, and will get you to around 700bhp.
And what does a stage 2 put out ?
Depends where the car starts power wise, but we usually see around 100-120hp gain.

The performance is legit but sound....meh.By far the best exhuast set up for this car is MPE. Zcp is decent in person aswell. S55 is similar to s54. One wrong part and the whole thing is fucked. Both van sound good but obviously there is no comparison when you get the s54 right.
MPE does sound very good but I'm not sure it would be worth it for a ZCP owner. ZCP + Decats which is what this is sounds pretty good to me, just accentuates the stock sound. We're currently testing an exhaust that sounds excellent though. The S55 is a real challenge to make actually sound good, most exhausts out there are all noise and no tone.

How long do downpipes take to install? I've been quoted 3.5 hours on a TTS.
Depends entirely on the car, some are really simple and some are buried beneath other things or behind the engine. As a BMW specialist we wouldn't have any experience with a TTS.
